Yeah, sing all you want at home or at a sing along showtime, but I miss the days of the ushers kicking people out for being too loud or using your phone in a theater. Why is it okay to sing in a movie theater if you can’t in a broadway theater show.
So... maybe *should not have "justified" that by saying:* *You've paid your hard-earned money for a ticket?*🤨To me, it gives the chance for a comeback response, like *I paid too, and don't need to hear that from the people next to me!* Some people get annoyed for even less😉😊
As someone who knows every note and lyric of Wicked, I don't get the issue people are having. Just mouth along with the songs in the theater and download the soundtrack when you get home. That's what I did and was just fine. And there will be a sing-along showing if you still can't help yourself. If you're a real musical theater fan, you know you'd never be allowed to sing at a live performance, so I don't get the disconnect. It's really not hard. And Tom Holland has a BAFTA and regular Critics Choice nom. Surprisingly it's Pattinson that doesn't have much recognition from the major awards. Similar to Oyelowo it's kind of shocking when you realize it.
I love communal settings when we all walk into the theaters as strangers, and walk out of a movie experience being able to share the hype, the laughter, the sorrows, and all that other stuff Nicole Kidman was talking about with the theater experience…. BUT this segment of Dwayne Johnson makes me think of people that spent hundreds or thousands of dollars in concert tickets to see Taylor Swift, or Ed Sheeran, and literally everyone around them screaming the lyrics when they paid to hear the artist in a live setting. Not sure what the etiquette would be, but I’m curious if that’s the same thing. The designated show times for sing alongside feel like the right way to go for this issue.
When I'm watching a movie I want it silent. I don't want to hear idiots making all kinds of noises talking and playing on their phones. I used to go at least twice a month and now I might go twice a year because of how bad it has gotten and I don't want to deal with the rude morons. If I go I usually wait 3 or 4 weeks to avoid the crowd.
Disagree with the claim there haven't been hand drawn animation in a forever at least no elements of hand drawn present. Correct if I am wrong...Intro the Spider Verse had hand drawn animation and Turning Red no? A full length strictly hand drawn...yea I'd say its been a while. I agree with Lion King being considered live action to some. Its CG if you really want a category to stick it in. Animated works fine too. Not live action. Thanks for the vid!
As a big animation fan I always love both 2d and cgi animation and don’t hey Jhons hate with the best animated category sorry John it’s not the kiddie table
Speaking of annoying other people with these musicals Dwayne Johnson has a new song he did for Moana 2 and it sounds like it's gonna be interesting with the 1st movie and those catchy tunes! So we'll see with Moana 2 & it's Musical Sequel
I think Moana isn’t going to have as much buzz and it might win one or two weekends, but Wicked is THE movie to see and it’s family friendly. It’s viral, the characters are pretty, the songs will be everywhere. Moana doesn’t really stand a chance. Edit: Uhhhhh… please don’t sing OR slap people with dicks at musicals.
What are your thoughts on a visually impaired individual who has someone by their side to describe specific scenes in a film? Rather than narrating the whole movie, this person shares details only when asked, providing insight into what's unfolding on screen. How do you feel about this approach, and what would you do in a similar situation?
I haven't got this this point in the show where something of the nature is discussed. And I dont want to speak for John. But I'd take a guess to say he wouldn't have an issue with it as long as they aren't screaming it and are being respectful as much as possible to those around them and in the theater as a whole. Its basically my opinion on the subject as well.
Many theaters have a device for some movies to do this so guests don't have to do it themselves. Otherwise, it seems like picking a less crowded spot and doing it quietly shouldn't be a problem. You could also inform the people around you so they can decide if they want to move.
The rocks been hella cringey the last couple years..hell he even came back to wrestling which u KNOW would never have happened if his star power wasnt noticably shrinking in terms of "leading man rock". As far as his movie etiquette comments go, it's EXACTLY what I see a entitled dude like the rock would say so I'm not the least bit surprised the rock said something cringey n out of touch.
I do like people enjoying and singing if they know the words in the cinema.... this could also be because I watch a lot of Indian and Pakistani movies and in those cinema screenings, that builds atmosphere. That being said, I get the point about being considerate! Anyways - BOTF
I agree that you should respect the audience 100% - but the recent show I went to a Jimmy Buffet stage show (live performance) the whole audience sang along and once the cast saw it they encouraged us lol
Good afternoon Mr John Campea. I want to wish you and your co-stars a great week! Also, I want to remind you that Dwayne the Rock johnson, is today's version of Mr.T! Please beware of this! That is all!
I just think the Rock is layering his history as a wrestler over the movie-going experience. After all, in a wrestling audience, that kind of behavior would be encouraged.
Everything about The Rock discussion, is why I hate going to the theaters. It's like fighting against digital because you like DVD. It's time to do simultaneous releases on digital, for everything.
I am hyped for Skeleton Crew. Simple as that. The directing talent tells me they arent half-assing it. Beef was so good. Speaking of. Cant wait for season 2 with a new cast. Secondly. I hate musicals. They just arent for me. Actually, hate is a strong word. They just arent for me. And thats okay. Still hope they do well. Wishing for failure is absurd. Anywho, point is. I saw Wicked based on what John said regarding the actual filmmaking of it. And yes right. Its great. Will i watch it again? Yeah, maybe not in theater. But it impressed me alot.

Dwayne Johnson dreaming people are singing the dialog to Red One

Peacemaker has been overtaken by The Penguin as the best DC related show.
"He's not a Jedi, He's a very naughty boy!"
Lmao Jonathan with the beat it joke made me crack up at work

Rock vs Campea at Wrestlemania
Hmmm, John's solution may work well against annoying people in the theater
Wish I was excited about Skeleton Crew but i'm not... probably won't even watch it
I haven’t even watched The Alcolyte yet and I try to stay on top of SW content
Cuase u think it’s targeted at kids it’s not it’s for everyone

You know....I saw that Rock comment and thought....No way John takes the bait on that....Read the title...Boy was I wrong.
underrated performance- David Oyelowo in selma.
Best episode ever

Apropo sing along during screening,I don't think anybody would sing Moana 2 songs in theater.
This is a fun episode…! 😂

I just saw it it’s a worthy sequel but not as good as the original

No one will sing a long cos the new songs suck

That's different if they encouraged it but if you go to a movie or a stage show where it isn't encouraged don't sing
A movie and a concert are different mate.
Spoiler alert. Neel dies.
