  • The Kia Ceed Sportwagon has plenty of space and bags of room, plus it comes stacked with tech even on your entry level car.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, practical and well-equipped estate car, then the Kia Ceed Sportswagon is well worth a test drive. Compared with some equally practical but more imposing-looking SUVs, the Ceed Sportswagon will definitely offer a lot more bang for your buck.
The Kia’s focus on value for money is especially obvious when you consider just how much equipment you get as standard. Even entry-level 2 Ceed Sportswagons get an 8'' TFT touchscreen with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, a six speaker sound system as well as sat nav, air con and a DAB radio.
The Ceed Sportwagon’s boot is big enough to take four large suitcases or a baby buggy and plenty of soft bags. There’s more than enough space for a massive weekly shop and the wide, square opening and flat loading lip makes it easy to load heavy items.
Currently, the Ceed Sportwagon is only available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor. It’s a decent engine that combines strong performance with good fuel economy. A six-speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard on the entry level car with manual and auto boxes available on level 3 trim cars.
The Ceed Sportswagon comes with lots of high-tech safety kit including autonomous emergency braking, cruise control and lane-keeping assist as well as parking sensors and a reverse camera to help you park.
The Kia Ceed Sportswagon has a RRP from £23k for level 2 models and level 3 models start from £28k

Cracking review but that car really would be better as a hybrid using Kia/Hyundai 1600 engine

I have a 2013 one that the 1.4 diesel and it’s incredible. My family and I drove around 2000 km’s and it cost us in fuel around €160 for all this. We had the air conditioning on a lot and the car was filled with stuff for our holiday. Honestly there great and the car has sailed past the 140,000 mile mark and it’s so reliable.
I got it in 2014 and it was £13,000. Can’t understand how the cost has jumped £10,000 in a decade for the newer model?

We drive 2013 1.6 CRDI Kia ceed SW with 248.000km. Car runs like a clock for the past 7 years. Never had any problems with it. Changing oil myself every 10.000km instead 30.000km recommended by the factory. Engine don't burn any oil. It's solid. I Installed webasto diesel parking heater on it, new large screen android navigation, new speakers in all doors. Car is fantastic. When we change the car one day I will get the same model only newer. Thanks for the great video! Too bad that diesel is not available CRDI is really good and reliable engine.

Hi AJ Does the kia ceed sportwagon have a spare wheel or a repair kit?

Pretty sure it's repair kit as standard these days...although I'm sure you could get aftermarket spacesaver

Hey AJ, not sure if you can answer this, but I'm curious if the seats go all the way back if using rear facing child seats? It looks tight on the passenger seat that you have fully rolled back.

I have the 2018 version and use a rear facing child seat in the back behind the passenger seat...The front seat nearly goes back as far as possible but not quite...but that may be particular to the type of child car seat I use.
