Spoiler: The main characters Lu han and Guan xiaotong actually developed feelings for each other in real life through this C-drama in 2017 ( I think that's when it was released?) which lead to them to start dating. Later on they revealed their relationship through Weibo (an online platform that is hugely popular mostly in China and South-Eastern countries) and in fact according to netizens just got their offical wedding license on Feb 22 this year! Best wishes to the couple and hope they stay with each other for a long time💕

As a guy this reminds me of my college days. My school was formerly an all girls college. My batch was the 3rd batch after the shool open it's doors for boys. There were only 20 of us guys among the 150 students in our batch for our course. And in one of the class I signed up to I was the only guy of the 30 students. The problem with the school for me other than almost all the buildings are colored pink, was there were only few male toilets and some buildings don't even have one so I sometimes ran to the other building.

This drama had such a big impact on me, it was so inspirational and it made me feel so secure and validated while doing sports and heavy training as a girl !
I'm sure the story got somewhat based or inspired on the Korean webcomic "Girls of the wilds", where a boy taking care of his two younger siblings since his mother abandoned them, went unknowingly to an all-girls school, which is famous for its martial arts competitions. There are a lot of similarities.
Ming Tian's life was so tough with all of that responsibility and work

Um, It's a movie... I have great difficulty in giving 'great respect' to a fictitious character in a drama. Weird ... Sorry.
This was the first Chinese drama that I finished. He only really summed up the first 10 episodes or so and didn't introduce my favorite character, but this was still done really well for a 12-minute summary! Luhan is amazing! I didn't get to know him until after he left EXO, but I'm glad he's doing well for himself away from SM.

Reading through the comments, I feel alive knowing that Girls of the Wild is so popular! It was the first manhwa that I picked up, and I loved it! The re-cap leaves a lot out, and some things were definitely changed, over all the drama looks good! Would have to check if they continued, cause I would be interested in how well they captured Ming Tian's transformation as well as all the drama in the series!

A boy in an all girl school is a paradise but also a death sentence. A all girl school holds up to 80 female students at a time, of course the main boy is the main attraction. Believe me, these girls are going to be at war with each other for him. I've seen it too many times in anime.
Anime wise but in real life, it’s unspoken knowledge that no one gets out of an all girls school without at least having a fling with another student there. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve seen two legs in a bathroom stall.
also usually the teachers and possibly the principal in an all girls school were biased towards girls like when they asked for a leave absence for a day its an immediate sign than when a straight boy did it then they would need a formal letter and approval of parents with their letter confirming your formal letter or something like that or else they could get the boy jailed or something BS like that. How did I know? Well that was what my GF told me when she attended to an all girls school. They do bare their fangs on girls who break the rules tho but sharper on boys thats for sure.

This drama is very complex and has a nice storyline and the female lead is very strong. It's not your typical stereotypical story. It's actually very inspirational realistically. I have so many dialogues written in my dairy from this drama, and i still follow all the things i leart from it.

The reason I got away is because my masculine phisyic which is rare, but make no mistake when I got away I was battered, hungry, and terrified. I've had flashbacks since and I still shiver about what happened. Please avoid what I've experienced.

i have to say as a Chinese person, and drama lover, and have watched this show multiple times before, the overall is nice, but some elements were not translated correctly, again i'm just speaking of facts and knowledge, not trying to be mean , but next time i think if you did more translation it would be better.

At first, thinking about being the only guy at an all girls college seems amazing. But, upon further review, I don't think it would be as great as it seems.
#1 You're always going to be the center of attention.
This means the most alpha chicks are the ones likely to present themselves. Masculine alpha energy is a major turn-off to most straight guys, but the one you're actually interested in would probably be too intimidated by the other girls to get into a relationship with you.
#2 Never-ending drama
You're going to be constantly at the center of lies and exaggerations.
#3 Whomever you show attention to, is likely to become a target.
Jealousy is a strong emotion, especially among women.
#4 Never being able to fade into the background.
Imagine everywhere you go, everyone would notice you were there. It seems trivial, but would get annoying very quickly. Not everyone wants fame.
And that's just 4 reasons off the top of my head.
