- "I Never Thought My Love Would Leave Me" is a song from the (sold-out!) 10" Tip the Glass and Feel the Bottom -recorded in Utrecht by the lovely Aldwin Markanovic for Serpentine Records (serpentine-records.nl).
Please support my Kickstarter campaign for the The Royal Dutch Tour Documentary, an 84-minute film on Bonnie Prince Billy and The Cairo Gang's week-long tour in the Netherlands which happened in September 2014. The film touches both cultural/geographical aspects of the Netherlands, and also the musical side of the tour.
It's a fusion film, which features an episode for each town visited during the tour, with an interview with one local and one song from the concert that was played in that town.

Perfect song for the voice - perfect voice for the song.
I’m still amazed how Will was able to suddenly transition from a creaky, cracky, everyman voice to something so warm, comforting and controlled. It’s like as soon as he dropped the “Palace” moniker, he somehow figured out how to play to the strengths of his voice and make it work perfectly for him.
Love your shirt, too ❤
Great accompaniment...!.. they could be playing in your backyard... No BS.. just soulfulness.. magnifique 🇦🇺👍
How Im Feeling on this Beautiful and Blessed Morning.
Thank You, Will.
Born, torn from unity, we spend our lives alone, all connections fleeting, an illusionary distraction, merely to die in our own arms only.
As a songwriter that touches the soul, he can't be beat.
That’s not his song, although I wish it was
I can tell he's very tuned in to the songs he's singing, serious, focused.
Brilliant
This is as I would always love my bonnie to be.
I've been listening to this nonstop lately, so good!
Thanks ❤ .
I wish my father had never whistled
I wish my mother had never sung
I wish the cradle had never rocked me
I wish I'd died, love, when I was young
@Mister Christopher nowhere near the views Bieber gets, true.
Will has such subtle strengths as a songwriter. He writes such plainspoken, unfussy songs, but then he’ll suddenly throw out some lines like this that just knock you out. It never fails to amaze me.
@@crescentfreshbret He did not write this, this was written by June Tabor.
The images on this video are outstanding. Nice production! Nice photography. All very romantic.
Thank you
So beautiful
Well if that isn't one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.
Well, you clearly haven’t heard Shangshangrilang by The Bay City Rollers, then
Happy new year
you did it! cool!!!congrats!
+Jonathan Meyer Thank you!!
Great job!! I watched the film at Doc'N Roll film festival in London a while back. Really enjoyed it! I hope you're keeping well!
One person's love left them.
this guy makes the chair he's sitting in interesting
someone tab this!!!!
I never thought that my love would leave me
Until that morning when he came in
He sat down and I sat beside him
'Twas then our troubles they did begin
…
Oh love is pleasing and love is teasing
And love is a pleasure when first it's new
But love grows older and grows quite colder
And fades away like the morning dew
…
There is a tavern in yon town
And there my love goes and he sits down
He takes a dark girl on his knee
And tells her what he once told me
…
There is a blackbird sits on yon tree
Some say he's blind and cannot see
Some say he's blind and cannot see
And so is my false love to me
…
I wish my father had never whistled
I wish my mother had never sung
I wish the cradle had never rocked me
I wish I'd died, love, when I was young
ちょうどいい🎵

👍👍👍
when oedipus and elektra are mutually exclusive? fuck 'em
Looks more like Amsterdam and the Waterlands than Cairo. Nice song though.
