If someone doesn’t get it. It is like completing all the quest in an rpg game or simply achieving all your goals then suddenly you lost interest because you already got all what you wanted and there’s no more things to do. It happens to all the gamer when they got what they want to achieve in game.
TI8 / TI9 OG squad was best dota team ever, they made a new way to playing dota and ana was part of that movement, from IO carry, invoker urn metheor or gyro diff and other unique builds, ceb strategies and micros, smart playstyle and roamings of jerax, draftings that notail did, honestly i saw nothing that i can call special from any other player or team since i saw that squad of OG.
Passion is what us drive for more and hunger for victory. Ana seems lost of it. He already proved his achivements from b2b ti champion. Now, its time to loosen up and face the real world. There's so much out there! We will miss you, Ana.
This is probably some wild theorycrafting but I think it may be plausible. Ana hated the community backlash during TI7 and walked away from pro DoTA. OG are in the same kind of community pressure thanks to Ceb. Also Ceb isn't that good of an offlaner now a days. Specially when your offlaner does so much for the team in the game(See: MC, Faith, iceiceicezz) in this meta. But Ceb was the guy who was the source of motivation during his and OGs greatest triumphs. He cant say that Ceb is the reason why they are losing to Ceb's face. Also being an introvert , he can't even say that he doesn't want to play with them or join another team. Considering the success that he had, retirement isn't a bad option for him. This is all speculation on my part but seeing him in DPC, he could've easily slotted in a more well organized and skilled team than OG as a pos 1. He played pretty good considering the break he took from pro dota.
Pretty sure it's not but rather the issue with not having the drive to achieve more like Jerax, when you have achieved the single most thing every dota 2 player wished they can achieve and not to mention 2 times back to back, the drive to win more is just not there. Also rumors has it he would be joining OG's Valorant team. So, keep an eye on that. 👀
