This design was inspired by these beautiful sweet Williams - they have such a rich colour and would look great in the house. And just as many gardens are beginning to come into their own, you come up with this charming arrangement. I agree, John, that the color of the Sweet William is just gorgeous! Thank you!
Thank you! I find in the garden you just come across little gems now and then, so to use a few and bring them inside is a good way to really appreciate them. Hope you have a great week! 🌼🌼🌼
So very cute.
Beautiful, nice technique.
Once again, John, simple but exquisite. 👏👏👏
😊 Thank you
Absolutely gorgeous 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks John - looks great
Thank you 😊
Fantastic!! I love using the cross-fix technique that I learned from a previous video.
😊 Thank you - it’s a handy way to support flowers and is totally natural as well. 😀
Muy chulo
Thank you John. This is so pretty. I am very fond of Sweet Williams--I have some in the vase on our table. I like the simple arrangement, because the SW are so pretty already. Here they are with a lovely background--I think the unknown white flowers are the perfect secondary flower. I also love the line and the vase. Sweet Williams mean June. xo
This little vase I bought for maybe £1.50 or just £2 in a second hand shop and it is really beautiful, handmade and rustic. I think this makes the perfect type of vase for the SW 😊 they also are growing under my sour cherry tree which I just harvested! 😋
@@FlowerJoos Yum!!
Cross fix is going to take me some practice! But I can’t wait to try. Beautiful arrangement 🌺
Oh and splitting that stem was awesome
Thank you! These are good little techniques to know for the moment you need them 🌼 and they are easy with practise.
This video was so informative and especially using the crossing twigs. It is much harder to do than one would imagine and it was wonderful to see a technique to keep cutting until it fits!
I think one of the great mysteries of ikebana is knowing which branches/flowers should be removed. Are there any guidelines or rules for this that you could share? Actually, you could do an entire video on this subject!
Thank you for explaining the rationale of why you place the flower/branches where you do. It is very informative and helps when trying to apply this technique…a great verbal guideline.
Thank you so much. That’s a great suggestion for a video, and it’s something that’s useful to know and can be used in western styles as well. It’s like a final check, refinement 🙂
Thank you for the lovely feedback 🌼🌼🌼
😍😍😍😍😍
