I remember that video of the Daytona 675R with the Arrow exhaust. It was so iconic! But now its just a namesake. Can definitely feel the pain in Sarge's voice. Farewell dear Dayton 675R for now.😢
From watching Sagar’s Daytona 675R video to watching this, you have come a long way! Your Daytona 675R video is still my favourite and whenever I watch it, I get goosebumps.
22 Oct 2014 to 13 Dec 2024. . . It has been quite some journey Sarge. So plus 10 years, minus 15 cc and a few grey hair later, here we are. Here's to next 10 years, CHEERS!!!
OMG this means I've been following you for well over a decade. You, Shumi and Kartik were responsibe for my choice of first ever motorcycle and a decade later, still shaping my choices. Great journey Sarge. Not regretted then and m pretty sure I won't regret in future too. Cheers brother you held yourself to highest of standards possible in entire automotive journalism with such a grace. Lots of love.
I could tell you what i would prefer Daytona 660 if budget is a constraint but, you need to fulfill that superbike dream And, *let me clear my throat Zx6r the 👑 if you can afford the 20000 approx service cost along with insurance and fuel@@souravroy3259
Really loved the intro with the post-apocalyptic vibe, referencing the state of the town, the man and the bike. The videos are a work of art in themselves, unkile on any other bike channel. Hats off to the team, the writers and Sarge! May the tribe grow to a million and beyond!
Love it! Amazing, spot on review as always Sagar... This Daytona certainly looks the part (thanks to your team, truly amazing cinematography ❤) , probably better looking that the CBR650r. And I agree, it doesn't deserve the "Daytona" badge, but would probably sell more numbers with that brand name (probably why they named it a "Daytona"). And uncles working in IT (ahem ahem.) would probably buy this and reminisce their 20's during their weekend 2 hr long rides, lol! Love the channel, love your content, keep on keeping on Sarge!
It's only a matter of chance that I too was looking for my first big bike almost 10 years ago at the same time :). I test-rode a couple of HD bikes and Triumphs as well... Both the Daytona and Street Triple. I still remember how trigger-happy both were, and just felt way way out my league. So like a noob, I bought the Iron. Been looking to get a "good" bike for some time now, and have been consistently divided between the Trident and RS... Until I found out that the Daytona was back. Back then, even the small test ride of the Daytona had left such an amazing impression on me, I WAS hoping it was the same one. Unfortunately, not to be. I genuinely agree with the Cardinal Sin. Some names matter :) Thank you Sarge for this review
10 years down the line. World has come a full circle for Sarge. The emotions it evoked in him were noticeable as it seems like a part of his core memories. Keep up the good work Sir.
What a review! It covers all aspects and even expresses the pain of not being able to experience the true essence of a supersport the way the Daytona 675R did..
Hey Sarge, i hope you continue to do reviews and educate us for next 50 years. Always gets excited seeing you coming up with a new review..more power to you and love from us.
For all the enthusiasts crying, you'll should have bought the original Daytona and given Triumph money, now they will only make bikes that actually sell.
I did buy the original daytona. So it hurts to see it reduced to this. I'm sure this is a great bike. Like sagar said, they could have called it the trident sport or the sprint or whatever. And kept the daytona badge for a racing special. The name has done more damage to this bike than the bike itself.
Such uninformed comments can only come from someone naive to the industry. Race specials very rarely earn the manufacturers much money. They are a showcase of what that brand can do. KTM RC8, DAYTONA 675, etc were all in that breed of muscle flex sportsbikes. And it's not that they won't sell in okay numbers. Daytona 675 was supposed to be a 4000 unit limited run model. The bike was so good (taking the fight to the Japanese 600s and all that) that not only did it put triumph right in the middle of the map for fast bikes to buy (the street based street 675 and Daytona practically did a resurgence of the triumph brand in the sportsbike world). So yeah. It was a roaring success for triumph. The lack of buyers didn't kill the Daytona. The amount of R and D needed to stick to emission norms not being worth the profit did. Tiger advs were the new hot selling cakes. And triumph is a for profit organisation. It saw more profit in tigers and street triples. Daytona never was a loss making product. If triumph cared about enthusiasts it would have easily kept the original Daytona alive. Especially because their 765 are being run in all moto 2 bikes. It would have easily sustained the whole effort with some profit, if not minted them money Like tigers do, coz they can be sold at a premium to 40 year olds who have a much higher spending capacity but can't ride daytonas. So your logic that Daytona didn't sell well or enthusiasts didn't buy it (there was always a waiting list for it in fact) is a premise that can be conjured up by someone who has only 2 active brain cells who are fighting ober who gets the Friday night shift.
That Daytona video back in time you did Sarge, me and so many of my friends were in awe of it. I remember we sitting and used to watch it on repeat and dream that one day we gonna buy that mean machine and take it to Lavasa. Till now when I see Older Daytona on road, my face has a big smile and back of my mind comes your picture riding it with that pretty sweet exhaust note. Daytona was always my first love in motorcycles and Sarge thanks for making me and others see her that way.
ur video on 675r was the first video of urs ive seen. god the sound on that was pure heaven. ntng can come close to that. they shouldnt have used daytona name for it. thankfully they didnt downgrade the street triple. the fact that 765daytona lives on as street triple 765rs still keeps my hope for a powerful middle weight alive
Man, I could feel the pain in your eyes. 😢 I still watch your 10 year old video of the Daytona and feel proud that I had an opportunity to see you riding that beast on the ghats of Lavasa. Lots of love to you.❤ Anyway, you are aging like fine wine. ❤
Just like always your videos are sublime Sagar. I'm a trident owner myself and I wish the trident was like the new daytona , least triumph could have done was to change the name of this Supersport machine.
Wow, this was incredibly emotional and truly one of the best videos of 2024. Your storytelling and passion for bikes shine through every second. A huge amount of respect for the effort and heart you put into your content. Hats off to you, and sending lots of love and admiration your way!

Can feel ur pain sarge, I recall ur review of Daytona on PD, man I immediately got hooked and hit subscribe, TBH after watching that review only started following you, I got excited again after new Daytona video alert but it rather made me sad.
Hi Sagar ! Your verdict is out of the box ❤ That's why I always recommend Bike Enthusiasts to watch your video. In maximum cases I realized that the Older Version of many Iconic Bikes were way more aggressive and well connected with the Rider. The absence of Analog Rev Counter has broken many hearts, the heart which used to match it's beat with increasing RPM.....
U r still rhe best sagar sir.. Be it the hair is white or black❤ Those hair shows u more experienced n u r gettin better by every day.... Can't express how big a fan I am of u SIR....
When I watched your that videos, that old videos that time I was a young boy now I have turned into a grown man my hair has also turned into white and now I am still your fan but one thing that is common that time I don't got a motorcycle and now I have not got one. But I am chasing the dream of buying one. Love you my big brother 💕.
It is true though .... the Daytona has been reduced to this !!! As a rider owning triples for almost two decades ... I was disappointed. It was your old video which gave me the confidence to buy the Striple 675 and all in love with the Daytona.
Once i saw the video of you riding Daytona 675r back in 2014 i was fan of that bike and you, the way you have the control on a bike 🤩 Amazing... But from now owning a Triumph Trident 660 i very well know the bike can be named Daytona but it can never be the legendary 675 r...😞
Man this is just so so sad. More than anything, you made me fall in love with the Daytona brand, dreamt of owning the 675r one day since your video came out. Used to close my eyes and hear it sing and motivate myself even to this day. Now when I can finally buy it, it no longer exists 💔
Haven't had a chance to see one of these on the road yet, but I've experienced the Trident 660 and Daytona 675R. The Trident somehow looks like a CB300R XL and while it does sound good when revved up, the 675 makes the hair on my neck stand.
At least one guy understood my feelings for the Daytona... Really hard to accept this as the Daytona man... Hurts to see that 675R go away. I just hope i get enough money to buy it in second hand real soon... i absolutely dont mind it!
Triumph should have just named this the Trident Sport. The name Daytona holds a far more infinite amount of power and legacy. You spoke my heart out on this one Sarge🤌🏼
We grown up by watching the love of sarge to Daytona. So we carry the same emotion as you brother. The new daytona 660 is a good bike, but the issue what we have is using the legendary name of "Daytona" in it.We would have happily accepted the name Trident RS ,or anything but Daytona. Daytona deserved a better farewell
Well done mate ..... amazing story line in this one ❤, emotional & soulful like the blues song 'thrill is gone' 😊! Hell yeah, Triumph really screwed up with the model name n the unmatched specs.... 😢...... !
Man the pain in his voice in the end, i can feel it 😭,maybe for non enthusiast this might not be big deal but for the enthusiast it hurts brands like Triumph naming their average sports bike after the legendary bike (daytona).
Man what a video 😍. Will surely miss the OG 675r. Sad to see it face the axe. Speaking of Lavasa, is it open? I heard the road after Temghar dam has been closed. With the winter setting in I'm eager to hit the twisties on my Duke 390 gen 3
The daytona 675 review where sarge says something like as the rev climbs it lights like Christmas tree from power drift was the first video i watched now again with this video brings back old sweet memories
Sweet memories of sarge riding the daytona 675 makes me feel nostalgic 😢❤😊and want to go and see that video again. Our feelings are the same about the current Daytona 660 , Sarge 😅🤌🙌.
Dear Sarge, I didn’t know I can miss a bike that I don’t even know very well about but when you explained about DT675, it did hurt that Triumph went ahead to play with enthusiasts’ emotions. I’ve a request, can you please share the music you used while talking about DT675 towards the end? (6:50)
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial Thank you Mr. Legend! Every time I’ll listen to it I’m going to think about this video. I also wanted to say thank you for treating us with your videos Sarge, they are seriously a delight to watch, always makes my day better ❤
There was a bike at store called roaring toys at dahisar kandarpada metro station , that Daytona 2016 model had sc exhaust, it was stage 2 track tuned , even the fresh tires would loose grip it had mad power , installed accesories 5 lakhs to be precise , it also had stabilizer used for wobbling, better everything suspension all low down and hard .
Thank you Sarge, You made my day❤ I had been requesting a review on this from a long time and oh boy you made my buying decision abundantly clear. Thank you so much really appreciate it🙏 I might prefer going with ZX4RR or ZX6R. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. Thank you again😄🙌
Thanks for the review. Just like the new Yamaha R7, watering down of the legacy names is not a good idea. May be they'll bring out a true Daytona at a later time. Until then its a Trident Sports Tourer.
2:47 Who did the colour grading it looks like an over saturated rural C grade movie or music video where they blast saturation to a 100 percent prolly.
1st felt this new daytona was good machine after felting your pain comparing to older 1 is a missed opertunity for triumph, even though i haven't riden both the bikes but we can feel them.
Hi, I am confused between this and zx6r as my first superbike. Not a daily rider but need something which is really fun to ride along with bit comfortable ergonomics. 6r has very committed posture and may be back breaking post 1 hour ride(weekend trips) Wanted a supersport and big bike feeling since childhood but now at 32 confused between them 😅.
Hello Sarge, one small question. Which one would be a genuine pick for daily drives. The Daytona 660 or Street Triple 765R. BTW this is the nth time watching this and 2nd time commenting on this as wanted to be really clear on which one to pick as my first superbike.
I remember that video of the Daytona 675R with the Arrow exhaust. It was so iconic! But now its just a namesake. Can definitely feel the pain in Sarge's voice. Farewell dear Dayton 675R for now.😢

💯
Well done mate ..... amazing story line in this one ❤, emotional & soulful like the blues song 'thrill is gone' 😊!
Hell yeah, Triumph really screwed up with the model name n the unmatched specs.... 😢...... !
🥲
I remember the old video every bit. And the first time I watched you then
Good to see you here
Sagar dada ❤😊....love the way u pop those long wheelies 😊
Cheers bud. Do like and share the love
I became fan of you from your last daytona video 🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate your support. Do like and share the love
That white daytona with arrow exhaust left a deep mark in all our hearts😪
💯
Man the pain in his voice in the end, i can feel it 😭,maybe for non enthusiast this might not be big deal but for the enthusiast it hurts brands like Triumph naming their average sports bike after the legendary bike (daytona).
😭😭
You made me emotional in the end
🥲 the Daytona deserves no less
Man what a video 😍. Will surely miss the OG 675r. Sad to see it face the axe. Speaking of Lavasa, is it open? I heard the road after Temghar dam has been closed. With the winter setting in I'm eager to hit the twisties on my Duke 390 gen 3
Yes it’s open now
@SagarSheldekarOfficial thanks for the update 👍
The daytona 675 review where sarge says something like as the rev climbs it lights like Christmas tree from power drift was the first video i watched now again with this video brings back old sweet memories
Good old days. Do like and share the love
@SagarSheldekarOfficial overwhelmed by ur response ty sarge
Ouch that felt painful coming frim Sarge!
😢
Sweet memories of sarge riding the daytona 675 makes me feel nostalgic 😢❤😊and want to go and see that video again.
Our feelings are the same about the current Daytona 660 , Sarge 😅🤌🙌.
Cheers. Do like and share the love
Dear Sarge, I didn’t know I can miss a bike that I don’t even know very well about but when you explained about DT675, it did hurt that Triumph went ahead to play with enthusiasts’ emotions. I’ve a request, can you please share the music you used while talking about DT675 towards the end? (6:50)
Cheers mate. It is called gentle impulsions by Andreas boldt
Sweet bike
Already Waiting Bro😮❤🎉
Less than 5 mins
Thank you Sarge, You made my day❤
I had been requesting a review on this from a long time and oh boy you made my buying decision abundantly clear. Thank you so much really appreciate it🙏
I might prefer going with ZX4RR or ZX6R. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. Thank you again😄🙌
Most welcome am yet to ride the zx4rr but you can see my review of the zx6r.
Sarge, honest review again! How would you compare this to Kawasaki ZX4RR?
Yet to ride the zx4rr but am sure that will be more super sport than this
@ thank you taking the time out to reply, hopefully we soon get to see you riding the zx4rr
They should have made a Faired version of The 765 Specifically the RS trim it would have worked for the daytona name The DAYTONA 765 ❣️❣️
I so wish
Hello Sarge, loved the video. Just one question: Daytona 660 or CBR 650R. Planning to buy one. So if you could help it would be great.
This
@SagarSheldekarOfficial Thank you, Sarge. Much appreciated.
A very emotional video for all the daytona lovers!
🥲
Thanks for the review. Just like the new Yamaha R7, watering down of the legacy names is not a good idea. May be they'll bring out a true Daytona at a later time. Until then its a Trident Sports Tourer.
Sigh
@SagarSheldekarOfficial Which Bike do you recommend on Kawasaki Zx6r or Daytona 660 ??
If you want a super sport get the kawa. If you want any everyday bike get this
Good looking machine 🤩
Sure is
2:47 Who did the colour grading it looks like an over saturated rural C grade movie or music video where they blast saturation to a 100 percent prolly.
Remembering your og 675R while watching this
We all are
The old daytona with arrow exhaust was one of best bike in the segment...
Sure was
1st felt this new daytona was good machine after felting your pain comparing to older 1 is a missed opertunity for triumph, even though i haven't riden both the bikes but we can feel them.
Good bike wrong name
Hi, I am confused between this and zx6r as my first superbike. Not a daily rider but need something which is really fun to ride along with bit comfortable ergonomics. 6r has very committed posture and may be back breaking post 1 hour ride(weekend trips) Wanted a supersport and big bike feeling since childhood but now at 32 confused between them 😅.
I think this makes more sense for you as the zx6r is a proper super sport and not the most comfortable
Hello Sarge, one small question. Which one would be a genuine pick for daily drives. The Daytona 660 or Street Triple 765R. BTW this is the nth time watching this and 2nd time commenting on this as wanted to be really clear on which one to pick as my first superbike.
