@@JMEAUS22 you do what you gotta do to win. If something or someone is holding you back from being the best person can be you remove that thing from your life simple as that
Jamie deserves everything he has achieved, without doubt the best in the current field of V8 drivers and certainly one of the best of all time. With the competition as close as its ever been he is still the person to beat week in week out and gives it 100% every time he sits behind the wheel. I don't understand why he has so many haters, I cant see what it is he does wrong to deserve it, I don't know the bloke but he seems down to earth and level headed to me and has no problem expressing his views. It does get a bit boring watching him win all the time but what is he to do. I'm not his biggest fan but I do respect him and what he has achieved.
Cheers mate, a year on and my opinion hasn't changed he is till one of the best, sure he has had some controversial moments but that's the way it goes. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. There is one thing that Aussies are good at and that is trying to drag people down from the top, we do it all the time and really it is not justified. People get to the top of their game through a lot of hard work and dedication and don't deserve it at all.
You know you are going to be successful when your last name is Whincup. He is arguably the GOAT of our game. Sits with 106 wins, 70 odd poles, 430 races and an amazing winning percentage. Onya mate!!!
With no doubt, the 5 best we have ever had in Australian Touring Car Racing I'd say are Peter Brock, Mark Skaife, Dick Johnson, Craig Lowndes, and Without question.... Jamie Whincup!
I'm an FPR man but have nothing but respect for Jaime's accomplishments. I really would love to see him in a smaller team like Erebus and see how talented he really is.
I think that Jamie Whincup has a place in Australia's best V8 drivers of all time. I am and always will be a huge fan of Whincup😆😆😆😀😀 I am hoping this year he will win his seventh championship
Jamie Wincup is abosultley ridiculous amazing super plus totally awesome driver so coolest I respect him anyway he works really hard and lots of success
I respect Jamie a lot and he has proved that he can drive without a doubt but I wonder what he would be like in a smaller less funded team. Vodafone and red have bought that extra 100th of a second in my opinion. Not hating he's a remarkable driver but the money invested into the team is insane compared to some of the others
Love the supercars always been a fan. Always had a love for this motorsport. Only ever been to 2 races in real life one at pukekohe quite a few years back now and the hamilton 400. But i love these cars they are well crafted they look amazing they sound wickid to put it lightly. Always sit there and watch the bathurst have done since 2003 when i was a kid i would sit there for 6hrs with the olds and watch it. Always been a dream of mine to drive one of these although thatl never happen haha
I never understand why people say his a cry baby he cops at lot on his chin . I never heard him say we have been hard then by it's always been it's happened move on or we was just out beat . I think his the best of this time in these cars in his own way . I think he is one of them guys what u see it's what U get
Reminds us a lot of Michael Schumacher. Steely, focused, non emotional but just gets the job done. Lives, breathes, and performs efficient. You either hate them or love them. Both 7x World Champions. Can't be coincidence.
Say what you want about this guy, he might be a massive douche to some fans, ignorant etc, but I really like his very humble attitude. And regardless, he's a bloody good V8 racer and a true winner.
The one thing about whincup he never challenge himself and change teams he should of. then will see if he is as good as he thinks he is but he didn't stayed were it was safe legend maybe but tested in other teams and cars
He won triple 8 their first 6 championships and helped win their first 3 bathursts. He joined triple 8 and became team mate to Craig Lowndes as a young guy with potential and within 18 months turned the tables started dominating him. He narrowly missed the title in 2007 to Tander who's HSV dealer team car was the class of the field, then won in 2008 against Tander in a massively competitive HRT car and at the peak of his powers. His demolition of Lowndes is enough to justify his talent in my, opinion.
Bathurst 2014 what a joke! Jamie thumbs his nose at Holden fans, his co driver, his team and makes a complete idiot of himself by ignoring orders leaving just one Holden on the podium. The only 'champion' to ever get booed by his teams supporters. The guy is a dirty grub of a driver who makes me ashamed to be a Holden fan.
Absolute Legend, love the way he respects his parents for allowing him to be in this situation, especially his Dad.
you don't have to like Jamie Whincup but you have to respect him.
yes yes yes yes! agreed 100%
After the way he walked out on his fiancé, no, no I don’t.

Well said mate.
Best thing I've read for a while, I guess people don't like him because he wins alot. We are incredibly fortunate to have him in the series

At the moment I'd probably Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes, Mark Winterbottom, Scott McLaughlin and James Courtney.
+Morgan Davie What about Chaz Mostert?
+XxSCaaRyFiEnDxX not really because his kinda still a rookie ya know? But I still gotta give it to him, his pretty good.

Brad Williams Pretty deep for a ford fan ! jk my family are ford fans
Great Driver of all time. 2009, 2012, 2014 completely untouchable in those years
This guy reminds me a lot of Jimmie Johnson of NASCAR, love it!
