I haven’t been able to get excited by this for more than a few seconds.. I just feel like it’s going to be broken and ruin a lot of gameplay by having ALL sims forget home boundaries 😭

I've been working on 4 townhouses on the big lot in newcrest... I'm almost done with making the rooms most of them are identical but it's been fun making sure I have enough room for multiple bedrooms and I even have a basement for all of them
I made a seven unit apartment building with a bar/game room connected to a laundry room. I hope there won't be clothes all over the building and they took that into consideration
The more I hear about For Rent the more it seems in will be a must buy pack. We just need to see it work in real time, and the pack will sell like gangbusters.
The moment I saw the "rice cooker" I said instant pot (other brands are available!), which is a multi functional pot, steam, slow cook, pressure cook etc, which makes sense to me, esp with the steam animation in the trailer as thats what it is like when you release the pressure from the pot when using that function. I was surprised when people though it was just a rice cooker!
I am picturing the Wise trait will work a lot like the extra infant/toddler/child traits. You can unlock them when sims age up, depending on the quality of their life/upbringing.
I don’t believe there will be. They said you can have up to 8 sim families on one lot (and lots don’t have loading screens to get around them). Also, I feel they don’t want to anger the simmers after getting everyone excited and prepared.

No I don't think so. Its all on one lot, what would you load into? They're most likely doing the sims 2 approach where sims and their furniture will fade in when you knock on their door
I might be weird but I cook things other than rice in my rice cooker. I'm just gonna try to stay over on this side of caution and say that I hope it won't have game breaking bugs for all those that pre-order.
I think that’s only weird for people who don’t really cook! Rice cookers can do so much. I can’t think of a reason to preorder since you can still get the extra digital content if you buy after waiting for the first LPs and patches. There is just always something with new releases

I always look forward to your uploads when new packs come out. Its been almost a year since I have played. This makes me want to play again and catch up on the other packs released this year. Customizable apartments have been on my list for years. Giving up on cars aside, if this is a segway to hotels, I am all in!
The dabbing is the least "cringe" thing I have seen sims doing. I am still wondering how it's going to work, because most sims animations can be called "cringe" (I personally believe that "cringeness" does not exist, but many people would call sims animations cringe)
I am very excited for this. I have missed this type of apartment play since I moved on from Sims 2. This is what I was hoping City Living would be like but I'm SO glad we at least get this now! Can't wait!

Wow, I've never been this early before! I'm super excited for this pack, and I've been looking at/updating a bunch of the apartments I've made over the years because I'm so excited. Also, I just love all of the new small appliances we've been getting, and as for the "Cringe" trait, is it weird that I find the dab animation oddly cute?
Same, I really really really really want to make occult specific apartments, with a functional graveyard basement for vampire tenants and a spell casting room for spell castor tenants
That’s a cool idea, but since you can’t have the high school on the same lot, you can always build an off-campus dorm in Copperdale, and just move a bunch of independent teens into it! The landlord can be the… dorm… chaperone? I dunno what it’s called lol. But anyway, you can make your teen sim visit their old house on the weekends, and just stay there until Sunday night! Sounds like a lot of fun!

You said we hadn’t heard of it yet, but I’m pretty sure we were already told. EDIT they did mention it in the blog. It’s Jason Chuu! So that makes at least two southeast Asians on this project, one Sim Guru and this guy.

Im worried they will forget crosspack compatibility with Cats and dogs. Can we have pet friendly/no pets or even dogs/cats only? Wat about small dogs only?? These are very common things u encounter while renting and i havent heard anything about it ..
That depends on your country (in mine it's illegal to stop tenants from having pets apart from specific categories like dangerous dogs) so I don't know if that is a thing in the asian country inspiring this pack ?
I'm really excited for this pack I'm happy that Elders seem to be getting some attention ❤ . I can't wait to play around with it already starting to pre-build stuff and revamping some older builds I've been waiting to become functional for a while . The funny thing about the slow cooker I'm probably one of the only people that knew what it was immediately it looks exactly like my IRL slow cooker which I use to cook rice 😂

EA is based in Palo Alto. There are SO many South and Southeast Asians working there. I've been to their campus and have seen it just walking around. Part of why I'm not worried about how they manage representation here, despite being South Asian myself.
I don't know if you noticed but, @6:20 you show a woman in an apartment bedroom laughing then, the camera moves to the girl discovering the mold in the bathroom. But, as the camera moves, the laughing woman in one apartment goes dark as the woman in the bathroom comes to light. I think this proves that only the apartment you are playing can be seen at one time.
I feel like the livestream is going to be either the 28th or 30th since the pack comes out the week after. I am also predicting that the gameplay trailer will either be realized this week or next. I am so hyped for this pack!
The “fortnight dance” won’t be in it as they were stolen original dances sped up a little and fortnight have supposedly copyrighted them Small rant which is also y I hate fortnight since they are thieves who throw daddies money and lawyers at the problem
I hope these things come with the Base Game Update ATLEAST😅: Ability to build all 6 units (Most of the decor and maintenance items related to Apartments come in pack) At least a new mailbox since base game doesn't have very many lol And possibly sim Count increase with the lots 👀🏃💨
So… as I’ve been building prior to this pack launching, one thing keeps striking me as obvious - we need more than 4 “floors”. We need more than 3 stories and a roof. Maybe 6-8?
I actually hate the fact that the wise trait is locked for the elder stage specifically… i wish it was available for adults too, not young adults though.
I think the potluck gathering will be a mess, but the ability to live in the multi-family dwellings will be fine. I think they have more of an issue programming sims to follow directions, not necessarily with anything related to lot mechanics.
Im hyped for this pack but also trying not to get my hoped up. Knowing the sims track record itll be broken to start with in some way. Gonna wait for reviews to even consider buying it. And even then I'm still gonna wait until it goes on sale
I know this pack will give multi apartments, but how about when it comes to retail.. can I have multi retail stores like a mall? Can I build multiple restaurants, retail stores, spa, bars ect all on the same lot? Or perhaps a combination of apartments like above a bar? Kind of what you might actually find in Thailand?

You can have a maximum of 48 people living in an apartment... my question is; what happens if you throw a fifteen guest, 1 cook, 1 entertainer and a mixologist party in a full apartment? x) How bad will the melt on my processor be?
There’s only one household per ‘unit’ (of 1-8 sims). You still only control one household at a time. The other six units would basically be NPCs doing there own thing. Assuming all rules about households hold, unless you invite the whole building there is no reason for the uncontrolled households to come to your party.!

I wonder if you can make different townhomes or apartments different rent as one with 3 bedrooms will cost more than a one bedroom are one has nice view so it should cost more or the one with a dog will cost more then someone without pets?
Oh my gosh!! Lol.. It’s NOT a RICE COOKER or a SLOW COOKER!!! It’s an INSTANT POT!!!! You can see the steam he’s letting out in the background of the trailer!! This has been driving me crazy!!!! 😂 You can cook soo many things in an instant pot.. That’s exactly what it looks like to me!!! Plus it was a huge fad the past few years, and still is a little I think!! Please check it out and let me know what you think?
Hi Pixelade! I was wondering if you are going to make a video on the new life sim called inzoi? They have a gameplay trailer out now and a few UA-camrs got access to the game and we’re able to play it and their thoughts. I thought it looked pretty interesting.
I kinda hope there are some nice hairs for male sims. NGL, I often times just put female hairs on my males because there are so little good options (plus I like long haired men). I saw only two male hairs, but I could just be not seeing the others. Also, I saw a new-ish looking hair on the little boy sim that looks cute with bangs and I hope that it will be available for adult males too… (I don’t use CC anymore since the infant update, so my sims rely completely on hairs available in game.)
You can see the hair I’m referring to at 7:55 It could also appear sooner and later in the video, that’s just one of the instances I found fastest. (I’m referring to the little boy’s hair)
I’ve already started building an apartment! It has 15 units and it is California inspired! Super excited for this one, been wanting to build apartments for a while, but never did because it wouldn’t function as one.
I need cars now, Sims 4 don't listen. I think we should see sims should do a Transportation game pack where you drive in neighborhoods like open world, but if they change to a different world then be like the sims 2 transitioning, but they are getting on my nerves, like just give us cars, rideshare, bus, trains etc. we already have bikes.
I haven't been so hyped for a pack since cottage living. It just sounds so cool, I'm even excited for the multi cooker (I will call it that way, because it sounds like exactly the thing). I just hope it will work without many bugs and we won't have to use 10 mods for months to be able to play it normally, because if it won't work, console players should burn their headquarters down, and we (as PC players) will probably be willing to help them 😂

You can do a functional elevator with the realm of magic portals but I hope we can use the elevators tho

I finished building my starter home with a walk out basement that I’ll rent out. My next build on my list is a family home with an in-law suite. 😊😊

It sounds like rental apartments are a lot type, so you couldn't combine it with the high school lot.

Hi Pixelade! I was wondering if you are going to make a video on the new life sim called inzoi? They have a gameplay trailer out now and a few UA-camrs got access to the game and we’re able to play it and their thoughts. I thought it looked pretty interesting.

I kinda hope there are some nice hairs for male sims. NGL, I often times just put female hairs on my males because there are so little good options (plus I like long haired men). I saw only two male hairs, but I could just be not seeing the others. Also, I saw a new-ish looking hair on the little boy sim that looks cute with bangs and I hope that it will be available for adult males too… (I don’t use CC anymore since the infant update, so my sims rely completely on hairs available in game.)

It could also appear sooner and later in the video, that’s just one of the instances I found fastest. (I’m referring to the little boy’s hair)

I need cars now, Sims 4 don't listen. I think we should see sims should do a Transportation game pack where you drive in neighborhoods like open world, but if they change to a different world then be like the sims 2 transitioning, but they are getting on my nerves, like just give us cars, rideshare, bus, trains etc. we already have bikes.

I haven't been so hyped for a pack since cottage living. It just sounds so cool, I'm even excited for the multi cooker (I will call it that way, because it sounds like exactly the thing). I just hope it will work without many bugs and we won't have to use 10 mods for months to be able to play it normally, because if it won't work, console players should burn their headquarters down, and we (as PC players) will probably be willing to help them 😂
