They did this with a lot of unreleased material. Typically what happens is the producer or the band feels the song doesn’t stand out, doesn’t do much or repeats something that another song did already and for time, they trim it then release it as a B-side, single or for a soundtrack. This is what happened to: ‘Alive’, which was Korn’s first demo song, scrapped and later used on the ‘Take A Look In The Mirror’ record, ‘Sean Olson’, recorded for Life Is Peachy and ended up on The Crow: City of Angels soundtrack, ‘Camel Song’ which was recorded for the Follow The Leader sessions, went to the End Of Days Soundtrack, ‘I Can Remember’ recorded for Follow The Leader, released as a single with 2 remix tracks, ‘Kick The PA’ which was a Jonathan Davis solo effort that KoRn took over, was used for the ‘Spawn’ soundtrack and ‘Layla’ became the most infamous B-side in my opinion. Though it is from the original Demo they gave to Ross Robinson, and became other songs, I still am completely perplexed as to why they wouldn’t use it.
