Finally.....i'm back!
my word.....its been a while hasn't it!
Thank you all for sticking around, and being patient.
i've had a lot going on recently and just haven't had the time to get some hours in on the computer.
But we're back, and i hope you enjoy this 2nd look at our kvik up machine in action :)

I’m so happy I’ve come across your videos, I come from a farm, but that was many many years ago, on our farm we only had a old Massey Ferguson 135. The farm my Dad managed had a Massey Ferguson 165 and a Fiat 90-90dt witch I thought was the bees knees, but it’s a far cry from the stuff your using. I remember my Dad paying me to clean and polish the tractors, all the others that worked on the property laughed at Dad and me. I watch you and the way you care for the machinery you use and think about those days and don’t feel so embarrassed about those days.
I really love your videos, the info you give is so good and the chuckles all the time make them such a pleasure to watch. I’m almost as hooked on your videos as the latest series on Netflix and the like! Trust me you have your new number 1 Aussie fan! I’m on the way over to your merch site to get some gear!

Brilliant Jonny - really enjoyed the drone footage and your explanation of the machine! We conventional farmers will have to start taking a close look at how you organic farmers control the weeds mechanically with resistance to chemicals and potentially losing chemicals in the future. P.S. Sounded like a lapwing in the background at around 21:25..

We uses one these get rid crap and it works as good ridge marker for planting potatoes. It's amazing what unrelated kit can benefit in all different ways? Oh well Jonny it's GENUINELY good to see you back. When I can't switch off because that thing wrong with this machine or fitting in time get that job in is niggling my mind I puts UA-cam on and chill out watching one your vids.

Thanks for the explanation on the kvik up it’s a tool that looks like it should be more popular but I suppose the non organic guys would just spray instead
Also got myself a pixel 3 last thursday and so far its absolutely brilliant, especially the camera its almost scary how Good it is
Glad to see you back! Long time no see, busy time of the year so understandable enough! Just a quick one. Not organic ourselves, however we do try to keep chemical spray controls to a minimum and only use what we really need too, how effective would you say your machine is at killing weeds such as docks and couch grass? Interesting bit of kit!

Hi Jonny 1388, just gone with your recommendation about the Chrome products, I have brought the cleaning kit and tried it on my Diahatsu fourtrack as I have a Jack Russel and he climbs all over it with cowshit paws the Chrome stuff cleaned it off no problem so thanks for recommending it. Bernard.
I think the reason it goes faster than the set speed is because it’s in eco pto mode. So engine is running a bit slower. I have a New Holland T7 260 (so basically same gearbox) and I run everything in eco mode (power harrow, baler, muck spreader) and mine does the same thing.

Ive never really thought about it to be honest lee, I don't think I'd get past the qualification stage lol personally I don't think I'm good enough or know enough to consider something like that, even though I like to explain things in my videos, I don't like to over estimate myself.
I'm sure it would be a MASSIVELY rewarding job. My other half is actually training to be a school teacher and she's a lot more intelligent than me 😂

Great video mate, we have the docs here to and they are a bleeping bleep bleep !!!! But we aint organic so can spray but you got to do it at the right time to work. Life takes priority over videos mate and im sure i speak for us all when i say that we are delighted with a video a week, a month or even quarterly if thats what you have time for, all the best mate and best regards to you and the family.

Seems like glyphosate treatment would be a lot easier, faster and more effective. It’s pretty easy to see why organic is, by nature more labor intensive, less effective and therefore more expensive. It would be interesting to hear from commercial farmers on use of glyphosate. I’m a small grower of organic produce and utilize flame and hand-weeding only. It’s the largest cost I have.
With this particular machine you have to bear in mind that some fields will only get this treatment once in my lifetime and other fields may never get a treatment with it.
It's something we use when traditional methods are ineffective or on land that has been laid fallow for years. With the price of chemical costs these days I don't know how much difference there would be when the two operations are compared, it would be interesting to know.
We have a multitude of different types of weeding machines for each crop type also.
It certainly is a big challenge for organic farmers, and one that cannot be achieved over night, but I do feel as though it is a future proof way of farming. managing/building soil fertility. With no artificial/ temporary inputs. Working on the method that you must put back in what you take out.
I would like to think in the future long term organic farmers will be matching the yields and effectiveness of conventional cropping.
Jonny 1388 I sure hope the world’ farmers can change to self-sustaining methods but it would take one hell of a turn around especially here in California. I’ve watched carrot production in the Imperial Valley and strawberries in Ventura County and it’s all about chemicals for weed and disease eradication and chemical fertilizers. Everything is done based on a schedule and the crop yields are pretty amazing. If the consumer demand chemical-free though the farmers will follow suit. The ball is in the consumer’s court!
