This track reminds me of a time when my whole life was crumbling. A point that I’d lost a great deal that was so very important to me. For those who are here because of doctor who well done you discovered a banger
I have a question and hopefully I won’t sound ignorant. I’m a mid 40s Black American, and was exposed to British culture in the 90s My cousin who briefly lived in Bristol put me on to trip hop and DnB in late 90s, but I’m a casual listener. My question when I watched that scene was do the younger generation of Brits listen to a lot of DnB?
@@johnpollard7329 i honestly couldn't say if the younger generation listens to DnB these days when i was a teenager all me and my mates loved a bit of DnB but i can honestly listen to most music love all kinds of genres we usually have quite a lot of illeagal raves here too or at least used to
I would say yes. There’s a thriving D&B scene in the UK which has spread throughout Europe. Its popularity now spans several generations. There are die hard ravers in their 40’s like myself who got into it when it began in the early 90’s but there are also younger generations right down to the current crop of teenagers. I would say there are different nights which tend to appeal more to the different age bands. For example a Metal Headz night would appeal to me more than a jump up do would (but that would attract more younguns). There are fewer small clubs around the UK now and so a lot of the dos are more like festivals and day-time events have become popular (check out Hospitality or Let it Roll).
@@johnpollard7329 Like any demographic it's heavily mixed, but as a Brit I can easily say DnB has been a heavy staple in many communities and cultures here. I think Drill and UK Rap have been big for awhile now - But DnB has always been a huge thing here that never died out. I'm young (was born in the 90s.) Grew up on Aphex Twin, Prodigy, Pendulum. Drum and Bass continues to evolve and captivate young people. God bless the personal expression that is music. One love🤘
