  • Jesse Krentz, 12, lives in Seattle. He loves sports, exotic sports cars and video games. His teachers Kevin and Haeyoon Krentz are also his accompanists in the video and his Dad and Stepmother. His Dad made the video.

    Do you use Krentz Cellos in this performance? It would be very interesting if you made a comparison with a normal instrument! By the way, your son is doing very well!

      All the cellos are indeed at least using interesting tech. They all have bass bars that are about 40% lighter than typical bass bars, use carbon fiber in their bridges and have Krentz endpins. Jesse's cello was made in Cremona in 2015. Haeyoon's cello is one of our great Chinese models and Dad is playing a great cello by Robert Brewer Young.

      @@krentzcellostudio Carbon fiber in the bridge, huh? I assume this is to lower the mass of the bridge? Is this a krentz invention as well? Do you sell these kinds of bridges?

      @@LittleHarryBrother1 it's for stiffness and thus, efficiency in a particular dimension. We don't sell them yet, but we have plans in our new video information series to let people know how to add the mod to their current bridges.
