Maybe I ought to have put an emoji next to the comment below. It's a joke... really. He (whoever actually said it) was clearly kidding. Actually probably adored Vivaldi. Nearly everybody who is in this thread seems to get the tone of light-hearted admiration for the joyous genius of the Red Priest. I mean we're not talking about war, pestilence, and tragedy. It's really sort of a bunch of folks around a campfire all extolling the delights of baroque music, the vitality, ingenuity, and charming harmonies that enrich our lives. In my case I adore the guy. In fact when you realize he could write the autograph we see above faster than most of us can write a letter it enhances one's admiration for his output. You know, "two men walked into a bar..."(humor.. does it really need annotation?)
This puts the lie to the assertion that Vivaldi did not write 600 concerti, but one concerto 600 times. (I think it was claimed by Luigi Dallipicola.) But you must listen to the Oistrakh-Stern pairing of a whole album of double concerti. There really was something about the extraordinary combination of their sound, thick fingers, heavy arm weight on the bow, and the crisp playing. that said, Mullova, Carmignola et al play beautifully. And I never saw the autograph, so thanks so much for a special treat!
That you had to bring light to that claim only gives it more impetus. Its the kind of put down someone would make trying to make themself feel more important than they really are
It's the nicest of the unpublished concerti for 2 violins.
Happy to hear it posted again.
Wholeheartedly agree. So joyous and the dialogue between the violins is just magical!
Beautiful music like this, when beautifully played, is overwhelming.
Я лично ,после 50 ти лет прослушивания концертов Вивальди,склоняюсь к мысли,что он написал всетаки один ,и 600 раз его мастерски перерабатывал

Correction: I meant to comment on my 8 mo prior joke about Vivaldi.

I listen to each Vivaldi concerto 600 times! This is an exaggeration but it reflects how much I enjoy listening to Vivaldi's music! 🎵 🎶
Not Dallapiccola, Stravinsky said this assful phrase. Well, Venice is not rancunière, it simply buried Stravinsky.
@@antonmartynov8370 Who cares about Stravinsky? On UA-cam, Vivaldi, MORE views than Stravinsky.
Dallapiccola's orchestral arrangements of Vivaldi's cello sonatas are terrible.
That you had to bring light to that claim only gives it more impetus. Its the kind of put down someone would make trying to make themself feel more important than they really are
Vivaldi unico e grande interpretazione, da parte.di... incredibili virtuosi!
Vivaldi is so sublime and deeply delicate that no word is enough to describe the thrill of hearing it. Thank you very much! 🥰😍💓
Vivaldi logro plasmar la escénica misma del sentimiento más profundo del alma en su música, fue un iluminado
Thanks so much for posting this
I first learned about this concerto through the performance of Oistrach and Stern.
Stern considered Vivaldi the greatest violinist of all time for the advancements in technique and creativity in composing.
Pará Vivaldi. ¿No ves que no podés ser tan bueno? Cada obra es mejor que la otra, si es que eso es posible.
Thanks
Una meraviglia!.fantastico!
This is beyond awesome. Thanks for sharing!!!
Curiously the third movement reminds me of the songs from soviet cartoons😂
Love this concerto so much

Wish the top and bottom were not chopped off so I see the whole score.
It is the whole score. There are two systems per page. "Chopped off" parts are the previous/next system...
