Great video I really enjoyed it! As a resident of Saint-Petersburg I just want to add a few things. 1. City is perfectly safe much safer than most European capitals nowadays. 2. The information about possibility to get a car just by paying to a random driver is incorrect. For several years now its illegal in Russia to take passengers without a license so it will be pretty hard to find one. Just use Uber or taxi its very cheap. Your average ride in downtown will cost you from 5 to 10$. 3. Best time to visit Saint-Petersburg is late June that is the time of White Nights and Scarlet Sails festival. 4. You dont need a Russian visa if you come on a cruise ship and can stay for up to 3 days in the city. Most Baltic and Scandinavian cruises have Saint-Petersburg on their route. Do visit our city it is really wonderful!
Thank you very much for the information amigo, I'm from Argentina and I will b in your beautiful city on the 13th of June for a few days, your information is very helpful. Good luck with your national football team. LG
I live in Saint-Pete's more than 9 years now, and it's absolutely one of the best places to visit, especially if this is your first time in Russia. People are friendly, English-speakers are abundant (most of the youth speaks English, to some extent), city is safe, and service is generally at pretty high level. Bunch of good places to eat, drink or just chill with a hookah. Lots and lots of city parks and lakes, and don't forget about all the fountains, museums and galleries. Wild parks on the outskirts are a must see too! Thank you for such a comprehensive city guide, I'll definitely recommend to my friends abroad!
Russia looks like a really interesting place to visit, and one that I've never even considered as a legitimate tourist destination until after this video! Great work, as usual - these episodes get better and better. Thanks for once again allowing us to live vicariously through your videos... I personally hope to one day use the information you guys provide in my own travels.

St.Petersburg is a magical city. Home of White Nights by Dostoyevsky! This is THE place I want to see in Europe before any other. But to be honest your video is more of an advertisement of hotels and restaurants then touching the spirit of St. Petersburg. I used to enjoy your videos a lot. This one was a little bit- how do I put this- shallow-ish?? Sorry guys:(
Hi: I'm Kevin Hill: I want to thank you guys at Attache (my keyboard will not allow me to put the grav over the `e' - sorry) for, without doubt, the very best travel guides / Vlogs, whatever you want to call them, on the internet: always insightful, concise, accurate and honest, with no flannel or missing the point or going to the wrong places. I have been to St. Petersburg 17 times and I could not have said anything better than you guys did. I continually watch your guides and, as always, will be looking out for the next ones, although, in this insane world we all live in at the moment, I would expect that for the next few weeks or months, your chances of travelling will be somewhat restricted, which is a cause of great regret for all of us with wanderlust. I wish you well with your future, hopefully sooner rather than later, endeavours. Yours sincerely, Kevin Hill from England in the United Kingdom.

It's important for us to use local music wherever we can - brings the whole episode to life. We spend hours and hours researching the music for each episode.
I didn't really expect it, but the shoegaze-y, dreamy sound really fits with the city of St. Petersburg. One of my favorite things about this channel is about how... un-touristy it is? I mean, you're still a tourist, but you seem to go the length to cover local life and stuff that locals would do, rather than the obvious stuff a travel guide would tell you. So keep it up, it goes without saying that I love this channel.
Excellent guide video. The voice and the body language; professional and welcoming to the watched like me. Hope to see more of Russia from your amazing intelligence-guiding skills.- from the Philippines🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
What a huge city as in scale. My late Italian husband was assigned in Vyborg, went to visit him there in summer. Wow, the water smelled petrol and there were plenty of mosquitos. Went back and forth to St. Petersburgh. I loved their mushoom soup and all the savoury pastries. I even bought some to bring back to Italy. We didn't have a chance to visit the Peterhof Palace though. The bus left by the time we arrived at the bus terminal,
addicted to this travelling channel ..videos are very crisp & on to the point on how to enter the city..about food..transport..mode of payment...bla...bla..keep up superb work..very informative..kudos
Amazing travel guide! I lived, studied and worked in St.P. for six years. But it was more than 18 years ago. And this guide was very interesting and informative for me, even for me, who is Russian and lived in that city of my student period of life. And I was very surprised how many things are changed during that period of time. But I found, actually, this short guide is very good introduction to that great city. Of course, you need to spend at least one year in St.P. to see and understand 'the soul of the city'. It is so many absolutely unique places to visit! A huge number! You simply will need a lot of time just to reach them around the city.
Another amazing video. Have been watching your videos since the Hong Kong one last year! Your travel guide's have influenced a few of my trips (Amsterdam and Berlin for example). Love what you do; your book is on my Christmas list this year! Hope this comment reaches you!
Best time to visit: end of May - mid-June, September, early October to avoid crowds. November-through April - not recommended because of poor weather and lack of sunshine especially November-December unless you want to experience Russian winter ??
5:40 the concept of this restaurant is still extraordinary: remember the Soviet era in Russia today ... one wonders what it would serve but in fact it establishes a continuity that makes the break between the two periods less traumatic it is not necessary to make the mistake of rejecting everything in bulk because the perfection in bad or good is surely not the proper of the man
I'm from Poland and I would never say Russia is a save place. Especially when it comes to Moscow. But your video encouraged me somehow to make one of my dreams come true and visit St Petersburg. BTW I found your channel yesterday and I feel it's really awesome - all thanks to your commentary and personality :)
Modern Moscow and Saint Petersburg are absolutely safe unless you hit a bar, get drunk and start to grab somebody’s girlfriend. The level of security in Moscow is even better. I live in Saint Petersburg. My underage daughters are roaming freely about the city packed with gadgets. I even would have not considered it like 15 years ago.
Ahh Iove Dostoevsky and St Pete. The last time I went we took a special Dostoevsky cruise around all the important spots, where he lived, where the characters from Crime and Punishment lived etc. St Pete is the most amazing city on earth.
I have been a great fun of your videos, you are incredibly thorough, your videos are actually helpful, I have used your videos to travel to 3 cities and it was great 👌 thank you for the great work. Next destination St.Pet

Was in LED back in 2012 and had a blast. It was December, so very cold and dark, but I loved it. We hit up the Vodka Museum and I loved seeing that segment in this video. Hopefully will get back in the future. Great work!

Just a friendly advice: I would only add that probably best time to come to Petersburg is late May ~ June. First of all it's not too hot yet and the weather is not all slushy like it is in late September and umm the rest of fall, and winter, and spring.... And it's also the time of White Nights! Another good time is late summer ~ first half of September, it's pretty in city gardens because of all fallen leaves and still not that cold.
Your videos are great! I used your Paris one before I went and it was extremely helpful. Because of this video, I am definitely going to Russia next summer

addicted to this travelling channel ..videos are very crisp & on to the point on how to enter the city..about food..transport..mode of payment...bla...bla..keep up superb work..very informative..kudos
Thanks so much, really appreciate that!
One of the best tours. Thanks for sharing. Great! Cant wait to go back to St. Petersburg
Saint Petersburg is my favorite city in the world! Great video!
Best time to visit: end of May - mid-June, September, early October to avoid crowds. November-through April - not recommended because of poor weather and lack of sunshine especially November-December unless you want to experience Russian winter ??
5:40 the concept of this restaurant is still extraordinary: remember the Soviet era in Russia today ... one wonders what it would serve but in fact it establishes a continuity that makes the break
between the two periods less traumatic
it is not necessary to make the mistake of rejecting everything in bulk because the perfection in bad or good is surely not the proper of the man
I'm from Poland and I would never say Russia is a save place. Especially when it comes to Moscow. But your video encouraged me somehow to make one of my dreams come true and visit St Petersburg. BTW I found your channel yesterday and I feel it's really awesome - all thanks to your commentary and personality :)
There are 40000 Poles living in Russia
Modern Moscow and Saint Petersburg are absolutely safe unless you hit a bar, get drunk and start to grab somebody’s girlfriend. The level of security in Moscow is even better.
I live in Saint Petersburg. My underage daughters are roaming freely about the city packed with gadgets. I even would have not considered it like 15 years ago.
Kamila, you need to go to Russia, StPetersburg, Moskow, another places, and you will change your mind about us
The crime rate and murder rate(+unemployment) in moscow and saint petersburg are below 1%...
Stop your propaganda, ROUGH POLISH!
I'm from Saint - Petersburg. Nice video and welcome to our wonderful city. Any time.
I love your video, thanks for sharing it. It was fascinating to learn a little more about St. Petersburg!
I want to live there because of Dostoevsky's novels.
Ahh Iove Dostoevsky and St Pete. The last time I went we took a special Dostoevsky cruise around all the important spots, where he lived, where the characters from Crime and Punishment lived etc. St Pete is the most amazing city on earth.
@@Nana-os2mp that is so cool!
Beautifully crafted video, it teased me to visit there there next summer.
Thanks! You should definitely visit, it's a fascinating city.
Great video, love your humour. Oh, inhaling out is often referred to as exhaling.

Great city I was there back in 1943 it looks so different now wow !!
I was in St Petersburg in Sept 2019. Beautiful city and so clean. Moscow was also a great adventure. First world cities.
Best time to visit: end of May - mid-June, September, early October to avoid crowds. November-through April - not recommended because of poor weather and lack of sunshine especially November-December unless you want to experience Russian winter ??
Was in LED back in 2012 and had a blast. It was December, so very cold and dark, but I loved it. We hit up the Vodka Museum and I loved seeing that segment in this video. Hopefully will get back in the future. Great work!
The new terminal was built in 2013. Now LED is much more comfortable.

Really great video. We'll be there in a month or so. This video got us pumped!
beautiful city, great to visit in winter times
Would you guys recommend St. Petersburg as a good place for solo travel? Asking for myself as a single gal!
Definitely
MissCofia33 yes I would.
Thanks for all the responses!
You will love it :)
I think this is by far your best work yet Alex. An absolute pleasure to watch. Still waiting on an Auckland episode though! ;)
