yeah I think they've begun to realize ledgetrapping is just a normal part of the game and demonizing it as something 'lame' is like making fun of someone for jumping or shielding
For everybody who wondered why pirates actually wore eyes-patches: When boarding hostile ships, pirates wore eye-patches so that the covered eye could more easily adapt to the dark, and therefore be at less of an advantage when fighting below deck.
Fun fact, something similar was also part of USSR military or spy training (forgotten which one). It's better to miss depth perception for a minute than not see at all.
Pirates actually have eye patches to train one eye to see better in the dark, because there is no good lighting bellow deck. This means they do not need time to adjust and can just swap the patch over so the "dark eye" can see. (I think) [I know it's not because they lost their eye]
7:02 The real reason is because they have to go inside the ship and outside really quickly and the eye take time to adapt to obscurity. So when they go inside, they switch eyes and remove the eye pad. Once they go out, they put their eye pad back, so that eye stays in the dark.
My favourite time of the year is the brief period when the Underdogs bless us with a lot of content. Smash may be dying, but these videos will always be my favourite on UA-cam, and bring me so much comfort. I hope you guys keep doing them, even if they only come out every now and again
Shulk as one of the sleeper picks in the last two Smash videos and in the thumbnail of this video? When did these guys have such a change of heart with Shulk? 😆
Actually pirates wore eyepatches because they would fight in the bright light of day and the total dark of under deck. So they always had one eye adjusted for darkness incase of battle. 7:08 is what im referencing
Pirates wear the eye patches so then they will have an eye ready to see in the dark when they need it most. Most pirates that wore eye patches still had both eyes.
I totally relate to the thumbnail Shulk moment, I was once in the finals of a Smashdown, all stages on, random characters, 2 way tie. I don't play Shulk and I immediately use Backslash... off the spawn platform into the void
Apparently pirates wore eye patches so their eye is constantly adjusted to the dark causing their other eye to adjust faster so they could see better below the deck
Some pirates wore eyepatches so that if they were suddenly somewhere super dark, they could flip up the eyepatch and that eye would already be adjusted to the light :)
Fun fact: pirates wear eye patches to keep the covered eye dilated so when they go below deck and it's super dark that eye is already adjusted to the darkness
apparently the eyepatch was for keeping one eye adjusted to the dark so when you enter a dark space you can just take the eyepatch off and not have to adjust
After watching th pod and the real life videos for over a year its really fuckin weird them calling each other by their game tags instead of they real names
Day 48 of asking the underdogs to do 8 player smash where they team with thier gf, Perhaps just 8 player smash, reacting to them play or a tournement. Btw thx for the one guy who always likes this comment.
Hopcats arc from anti ledge trapping to head of team ledge trapping has been truly something
Villain arc
HopCat has always bullied Poppt1 for stuff that he himself does

And I'm all for it, love me a good ledgetrap

They'd move the eye patch over to the other eye when they went into another ship iirc

@@maratby4364or even went below deck! I remember the Mythbusters episode haha
or maybe they wore them cuz its cool
@@JLawLI did too… the nostalgia lol
11:02 that final spark was so beautiful!

We're getting 30 minutes foot videos and 12 minute smash videos at this point
new yt meta
It astounds me how much shorter this is than the foot simulator vid

7:10 pirates wear eye patches to keep one eye adjusted to the dark so when they need to go below deck and get something in a hurry they can see better
the very well cut hopcat yell got me
I think Zack’s record is 5 SDs in a row
I'm loving the consistent underdogs content
The best way to end a video with Little Z SD in the title is with a Hopcat SD
My favourite time of the year is the brief period when the Underdogs bless us with a lot of content.

Shulk as one of the sleeper picks in the last two Smash videos and in the thumbnail of this video?
When did these guys have such a change of heart with Shulk? 😆
They're REALLY FEELING IT recently.
SDing has always been in little z’s blood he’s to hype
It was on this day that the council of ledge trapping was formed xD
The outro ever
*That caught me off guard lol*

I cringed when I saw that down B off stage in the last second. I've done that too many times. Haha 😆
This one of the shortest videos on the channel, yet somehow the most time zack has SDed in a single video unirinically

New Underdogs Video: Can The Boss Falcon Win?

We are feasting with all this Underdogs Gaming content!
So this is the december video spam, definitely not complaining tho im eating this up

Alternate title: this video ends when someone other than Zack SDs
Falcon was not meant to be a boss character
7:03 so they could see below deck in almost complete darkness
At least little z wasn’t making excuses this time😂

NGL, I thought yellow paint covered king k rool was an electivire for a second, and I was like... MODS!?!?!
Two underdogs videos the same day? Good day today
Random fun fact-the pirates eye patches were so they could keep one eye adjusted to darkness (think below deck) and one to light (above deck)
I really needed this today.
apparently the eyepatch was for keeping one eye adjusted to the dark so when you enter a dark space you can just take the eyepatch off and not have to adjust

Say what you will Zack did well as Shulk for a moment there!
1:08 must’ve been a terrible match cuz they just cut the whole thing
I know I was so confused lol
Immediate flashbacks
that ending sent me
What an ending truly a underdogs ending
Can we point out that both todays releases combined are less time than the 1 video of the foot game
11:24
Why is this video like a third of the length of the foot video 💀
I so happy they made another boss video
Uploads are so lit
