One thing you might try next time is to get each shoe in place and held tightly to the backing plate with a C-clamp. After the shoes are solid install any springs that you already haven't. You need a set of brake spring pliers if you're going to be fixing drum brakes. Also don't short yourself on buying the correct tools, and the best you can afford. Cheap tools may get the job done, but you'll cuss them out each time you use them. I'm not saying buy Snap On or nothing, but buy quality.
This is what happens nearly any time I touch anything with a car. Our old F150 just had a check engine light, and some missing. And it was a pain to replace the spark plugs, but we did. It took over 20 hours of work for us to do it.. And it still ran bad. So we replaced the fuel injectors, and it still runs bad, then we replaced the fuel pump, and now it sounds like it's got a loud rod knock, and it doesn't idle. But the fuel pump is giving the correct pressure. And the oxygen sensors where stuck on, so we had to get a special tool, and that got them off, though breaking the old sensor, and then we lost the tool we rented. So overall, not a good experience. Trying to get a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage as soon as possible, so we have something reliable, and also practical, that sips gas, and is more easy to fix.
Yeah, there is a solenoid in the shifter. It’s called a shift interlock solenoid. It actuates whenever you press the brake pedal while in park. If the car is in park it will prevent you from shifting (e.g knee hitting shifter) without first pressing the brake pedal. If you look closely at the shifter there is a small plastic square that can be removed to allow you to bypass the solenoid. You would do this if it jams or if the car battery dies and you need to shift into neutral. (On other cars some people remove this bypass to make the car harder to steal via towing)
Im replacing my miss my15 mirage sedan rear brakes. Rear 30mil nut won't come off. It's soo tight that $36 brand new wrench won't budge it loose. Don't think it has enough torque. So I think I have to spend about $100 wrench with the long handle to loosen the 30mil nut of the wheel. Hope it works out
I used a literal pipe on the wrench to make the handle longer and give me more leverage. Aside from using wd40 I don’t have much advice to give. I don’t generally recommend using heat as it can mess with the hardness of the metal but it could help
I listed to the song and agree it would be appropriate 😂. Unfortunately it does not appear to be royalty free, UA-cam would likely give me a copyright strike if I used the song. Thank you for watching!
I also had a lot of rubbing noises when I had new shoes and drums installed but they went away when I had the seasonal tire swap done. Maybe they drove the car with the ebrake up.

Thank you so much for doing this video.
Trick I used is to grid both shoes where they touch the wheel cylinder and where they touch the bottom anchor point.
Lol this is why I hate Drums. First realistic video I've seen, bleeding, frustrated and exhausted, missing parts 😄

Hey when your car is in park and turned on and you press the break do you hear a click sound coming from the gear shifter box?

you cant insert the drum bcoz the handbrake cable was realy need to release first,
You should play "bound for the floor " in the background of your videos
