As the growing global population threatens more and more species with extinction, how can photographers get more people to care about the animals who share our Earth? Joel Sartore, who has spent 25 years travelling the world for National Geographic, has set out to document all of the planet’s 12,000 captive species with studio lighting. In this presentation for the World Economic Forum, he introduces images from this multi-year “Photo Ark” project.
