Space Engineers | Swordcutter - Class | Railgun Corvette

This is a showcase of my fastest corvette class ship the swordcutter. While not as heavily armed as a battlecruiser this ship can accelerate to an impressive speed in the shortest amount of time. Tho it does come with a reasonable complement of cannons and pdcs as well as a powerful railgun.

All it takes is 1 or 2 railgun shots at the huge tanks in the back and you lose propulsion

True, but its a corvette, not much size to have armor. Speed is its protection. Although Space Engineers being Space Engineers you are capped unfortunately.

I love the fact that the Railgun gives me the reason to make all my stupid halo “the ship is also a gun” models

with its size and likely survivability and power plant, (I'm guessing primary hydrogen power) fixed artillery would probably work better than the rail gun,
edit rail gun makes more sense on larger multi person crew ships
