Tonight I tried to do a motionlapse with the ronin s just bought. The problem is that it is jerky, the video is not as soft as yours
    I don't know if it's broken ...

Did you do the motion lapse in still mode? Not video mode

So I just bought the ronin s today to use with my Sony a7riii. When I try to do the motionlapse the ronin goes through all the motions but my camera shutter isn't actuating. Any idea why? Do you know if there are any specific settings I need my camera on? I changed the USB input to pc control and set the destination to pc and memory card, but still no shutter actuation. I've been trying to figure it out for hours now.

It might be that your camera is set on video and not in Photo. Make sure you have the nob on the top of the camera on M and not on the film icon. Also, the ronin s has some limitations with most of the Sony cameras unfortunately. Hopefully DJI will update the firmware; therefore, we can fully use the Ronin S with a Sony camera. Also, the USB has to be on PC Remote. Please let us know if that helps.

Thanks for replying. Seriously not trying to be rude, but yeah I know what the "knob" on top of my camera does 🤣 been a photographer for a few years now and have had every iteration of the A7R series. I'm really interested in the motion lapse capability of the ronin and wanting to get into videography. But from what I've gathered, the cable that comes with the ronin for Sony isn't fully compatible as a shutter release. I bought a separate cable from B&H, hopefully it works.

@@ipg_rentals the cable from B&H came in the mail today and it does work as a shutter release. Sony users that buy the Ronin will need to be aware that they will need to purchase this cable separately. The cable that comes with the Ronin is a mcc-b. The mcc-multi is the one that works for shutter release, if the user wants to do any kind of time-lapse /motionlapse.

Do you need to Mcc-c cable to operate this?

Yes you do. Do shutter matches movement

@@ipg_rentalsThanks for the reply. What's the difference between the RRS and the Mcc-c hearing I need both?

Cool. Mine is "jumping" verticaly or horizontaly about 3-4 time in a 12-16s motionlapse. DJI won't repair it al tho I bought it not long ago...piece of crap.
