Bravissimi complimenti OTTIMA rilettura!!!!!! Di EL&P i quali hanno a sua volta riletto questo autore classico credo spagnolo di epoca barocca !!!!! Joaquim Rodrigo.

Fantasy for a Gentleman is a concert for guitar and orchestra by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. It is their second most popular concert, after the Concert of Aranjuez. Its four movements are based on six short dances for solo guitar by the seventeenth-century Spanish composer Gaspar Sanz, taken from the work commonly known as Instrucción de Música sobre la Guitar española en tres volumes (1674, 1675, 1697) Instrucción de Música sobre la Spanish guitar.1 Most of the movements retain the original names of Sanz. Rodrigo expanded Sanz's themes to produce a work of more than 20 minutes. Joaquín Rodrigo was always clear about where to contribute with his work to keep Sanz's ideas and the very essence of these dances clear "A whole past of dances, in which old and new times end up connecting, revives in these titles. the harmonic language and the sound atmosphere will not disturb the spirit of those titles ". Rodrigo composed the concert in 1954 at the request of the guitarist Andrés Segovia, who was obviously the gentleman referred to in the title.2 Segovia performed the solo part at the premiere of the piece on March 5, 1958 in San Francisco.2 Did this page load fast enough? Without Greg rehashing the Love Beach story, I never got the chance to ask him, or Keith, why they never played this underrated, great album on tour. Was on my bucket list. Because every decade that went by, this album got better and better. Even the first 2 songs are great.
Well, the "Canario" has most of the time simultaneuosly 6 different Synth sounds. Keith was a genius, but he had only two hands. :-) So I think this title could not be played live by one keyboard player in the quality we got used to enjoy from ELP. That might be the answer, but not sure...
Dave I hope you’re doing well and I believe you move down south and you’re retired I just love to hear from you you’re a good friend James and I hope you’re getting through the pandemic God bless you and your family again James
I was just noodling around on the web, and (by accident) stopped on this video. This is an amazing rendition of an already amazing arrangement from Keith´s hands. Do you have the score of this already? I am planning to do a similar project like yours, and I have some another finished transcriptions made by myself if you are interested, of course. I hope my comment doesn´t sound offensive to you, we, ELP fans, are a huge and very special fraternity. Thank you for your work!!! PD: If you want some additional help, please ask me.
Hi, basically all the covers which we recorded, either with a virtual or a live band was learned by listening to the original (trascripting or just memorizing them by ear) and we did not create any notation of them. In this cover we recorded 17 different keyboards, at least 6 of them sounded at a time. Some help was taken also from the Orchestration of Rodrigo's "Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre". I have the midi trancription of those keyboards, but none of the guitars and the percussion have any transcription. This is valid for all the covers - more than hundreds of them on my channel. In case it helps you I can export these midi tracks for you.
@@emerson1978365 Hi, I've uploaded the midi trancriptions of all the keyboards and the lead Gt. I exported it from Cubase Pro 11. I made a check, everything was correct, even the continuously changing tempo was right. Of course you need to find-out the suitable synth presets in order to hear the song close to the original. Please reply me immediately when you've downloaded the file, because it is not public, I just made a courtesy for you. here is the link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PhauBG2IncOAUTuBHDpnJTn4LCQ5Ahk-?usp=sharing
@@mokusmisi dear friend: I recently downloaded your file. I will be trying to open it with Sibelius 7.5 (my usual software), but anyway I listened it from my Phone. It is a hell of a job!!! Well done!! I am finishing some other scores by now, and I will continue with your file next, adding the rest of the instruments. Thank you so much!!! If you need some help from me, please let me know it. Just a side note from ELP: this tune is amazing, despite many bad opinions about the "Love Beach" album. I like it, because the music content is of top level and deserves recognition. This tune is a clear example of this. My greetings to you and friends involved on this project, I love your work!!!

You are absolutelly right! But in the studio even Keith needed to record these masterpieces in 3-4 instances as having only two hands... 🙂 In concerts he needed to play simplified versions.
