LOCKTITE in a SURRON VIDEO!!! My lanta you are the VERY FIRST out of alllllll the youtube videos on surrons.....99.9% of the smucks are wrenching in thier moms kitchen with $8 worth of tools. As a 20yr long bike tech its PAINFUL to watch surron builds....you do things rather well my friend. Good on you. Cheers.
Got mine in October, it’s a 2022, and it also doesn’t have the brake sensors engaged. Thought I was going crazy at first, but glad I’m not the only one! 😂🤙🏻
If you still got the little cable thing with a led on that come with the bike you can use it to disable the break sensor. You plug it in between the controller and the battery and turn on the bike it will blink then to turn the ebrake sensor off you do 8 short press and 1 long on the front break it will then do 8 blinks to confirm it is disabled. You can turn the ebrake sensor back on doing 9 short and 1long (9 blinks will confirm it). It can be used as well to change the level or the regen braking or disable it. Level one regen braking = 2 short 1 long (2 blinks), level two regen braking = 3 short 1 long (3 blinks), level three regen braking = 4 short 1 long (4 blinks), NO Regen = 7 short one long (7 blinks).
@origamimaster999 the Tilt sensor is a balance sensor that shuts the bike off if you crash or lean the bike too far over. It is a safety feature that usually causes more issues then anything. If your planning on any rough riding you will usually have to remove the tilt sensor
If I just cut the kickstand wire, should the bike work if that was really the issue? Or do I need to actually unplug it to see if that was the problem?
Cutting the wire would do the same thing as unplugging it, i just didn't want random dangly wires everywhere! Make sure you cap the ends off of the wires, so they can't touch!
No issues after removing the kickstand sensor? I just got a lowering bracket and pegs, spacer, the works, but I’m noticing my new kickstand is gonna require the removal of the sensor.
Good video do you recall if the tilt sensor would make a rattle noise when you shake it? My bike acts like it’s over heating or like I’m almost dropping it and it shuts off and only goes for a second before stoping again hope that fixes it👌
@@KGRowlo yea I took them out and gave it a good rip and looks like it’s the battery or controller! Speed dash/display turns on and throttle moves for split second but no display on the battery or front light witch is wired😂sounds like battery now
Surron randomly powered off while riding, I just finished removing the tip over & kick stand sensor but still not getting any power 🥲 I’m gussing my controller is just shorted out
my 2023 has got break sensors turned off, only kickstand is on but I have no problem with that (no need to cut green wire because speed is unlocked also)
I slammed hard for the first time with only 500 miles on the bike and broke my right footpeg mount. ( i was doing wheelies knowing i needed to bleed my rear brake, but i learned a good lesson) After i assessed the road rash on my ass cheek, i tried riding back home. The bike turns on normally, but when i use the throttle, it jolts the tire once but thats it. Will removing these sensors possibly fix this? Im at work rn. I'll try later, though
@KGRowlo update: Think I found out what happened. I got home and noticed that the right side of the motor got pierced by the foot peg, and I think it smashed the hall sensor.
@@HowTeq did u ever fix this? ihave same issue, turn bike on , hit throttle it moves for a milisecond then wont anymore... throttle or hall sensor issue??
Picked up a brand new surron 2024 light bee x a few days ago. All was fine until i was playing with my kid in the garden and hitting his MTB hopper jumps. Soon as i land off the jump the bike cuts out and i have to switch it off and back on again. Any idea why this is? Thanks
@oscarmayer3000 I did the front brake thing and disabled the engage, the brake sensor and then did same with the kick start and bike works perfectly now 👌
@@davidf0711how exactly did you do it? I have a surron that will cut out randomly after deleting all the sensors, do I have to do the disable thing after to make it work without cutting out?
@christianhansen909 hi mate, this guy explains most of it. (Link below). There's also a chart online with all the different things you can do and I have it saved to my phone but UA-cam doesn't let me upload images. Search Google for surron override codes via brake lever and you should be able to find it. I have everything disabled on mine now so it never cuts out. ua-cam.com/video/3UzXmrdZA5c/v-deo.htmlsi=trDWLpeXspgiMJ5X
I'm not sure removing the kickstand sensor is such a hot idea... The accidents I've seen due to lowered kickstand are some of the most horrific... And you DO forget it from time to time, I don't care how diligent you are... Your pulling off, made it all the way up to 50+kph, now lets go for a left turn! *goes flying* If you HAVE to remove it: Always put the stand up, BEFORE you get on the bike and do it that way every single time, until it's totally second nature!
all brakes sensors and tilt sensors are gone on mine, but you will never see me remove my kickstand sensor. No need to ride with kickstand down and curious idiots will grab the throttle when i’m parked
hey man I have a surron that I got rid of all the sensors on but it will randomly cut out. I have replaced the circuit breaker, voltage converter, throttle tube and wire assembly and still does it. Can anyone help?
could just be that one off wire short you have somewhere, maybe pinched or rubbed against something? But first check your main fuse and make sure the connectors are tight!
This should have been easy, BUT, the right top bolt holding in the controller was way over-torqued! The bolts should come out pretty easily just like in this video. But if you run into problems with any bolts, you can get stubborn ones out using what some people call "easy outs". In the store they are called a "max impact screw extractor set". Here is a video that shows what they look like and how to use them: ua-cam.com/video/e71YwP9NWYM/v-deo.html In any case, I fixed my son's bike. He wheelies it all the time, and the tilt sensor must have got stuck and the bike wouldn't go. I removed the tilt sensor, and just got the cable for the kickstand sensor, and we're back in business.
@KGRowlo wierd! Your nit the first person I've heard say this. I'm in Canada mind you so maybe they come tuned differently. Mine 100% does 80kph out the box green wire in tact. I'm wondering what'd happen if I do cut the wire LOL
I have heard other people say the 23 don't need unlocked too, Maybe Canada is different🤷♂️might be worth the cut to see what it does lol you can always re attach it !
@KGRowlo I'm actually planning on doing that exact thing next time I get it out! I figured the same too, worste case it fcks something up and I gotta re solder it together lol
