That’s great to hear! You’ll be happy with the improvements. I’m on mile 2000 of a 3000 mile trip for the holidays and cruising at highway speeds was incredible with the tune. No more gear hunting and cruise control is happy.
Hey man love your videos. I was wondering how your Tesla screen was holding up. I’ve wanted to put one in mine for a while, but the amount of mix reviews online had me worried. Do you think I should make the switch? I have the Nav version of a 2003.
Thanks Tanner! It's great to hear that feedback! It's been holding up great and I really want to install the updated software from the guy on the GXOR facebook group so I can have an even nicer interface look. I would definitely still suggest it over all the other options out there. The massive screen size is great.
Just installed the android 13 version in mine. Just be prepaired to research setting it up right after you get it installed.Love it now but had to use Phoenix Automotive tech support to get there.
No you don’t have to run premium going forward, but the tune was created using higher octane fuel so it runs best on premium. I can’t speak exactly to what the difference would be, but I know that it won’t hurt anything.
Hey Daniel! I actually designed that and cut it on a vinyl cutter. I had considered adding it to the Awesomoto store as a product, but wasn't sure if anyone would be interested.
Premium fuel burns slower and in general cleaner. The main reason is that Phil recommended the premium tune as it is a more noticeable difference in performance.
Great question! I went with the 93 octane tune and its his tune that is for drivability. So it is not an aggressive HP gainer, just make a smooth driving experience.
These tunes is not mainly a performance tune. It is more to better drivability when adding weight and bigger tires. Just because a company has a dyno sheet means anything. If I hit performance headers I def would run a dyno with the tune and that when it really matters
I wish I knew a shop local to have gotten before dyno numbers, but I could do an after…not sure how much value it has if we don’t have the before to compare. I guess if someone else has stock numbers we could roughly compare.
I'm looking for a CA emissions compatable tune for my 05 GX. Better performance and +2 mpg definitely worth it.
Booking appointment today. Thanks this was perfect review.

Do you have put Premium Gas going forward, after the tune ?

Where did you get the sticker on your windshield?

@@Awesomoto I’d take one!
What was your process on deciding to do the premium fuel tune vs regular?
Premium fuel burns slower and in general cleaner. The main reason is that Phil recommended the premium tune as it is a more noticeable difference in performance.
Which tune did you end up getting?
Great question! I went with the 93 octane tune and its his tune that is for drivability. So it is not an aggressive HP gainer, just make a smooth driving experience.
how much does his tunes go for? Im debating on doing this too
nvm, didnt get to the part where you said the price lol
Great question! I paid $425 at the event for the tune.
Dyno numbers by chance?

Are you still happy with your tune? Does your gx perform better... how about mpg?
Absolutely still happy! It drives much smoother now and a 2mpg increase.
@@Awesomoto sounds good. Might have to get one.
Do you have a link to order this type of tune?
@@jasonmears4393 I got this tune in person in the video. I believe you send your ECU to him and then he ships it back tuned.
@@Awesomoto ok, thanks.
