  • I put a trail cam on a narrow, remote finger ridge top in Southern Vermont at the beginning of June and just pulled it a week ago. I was actually a little surprised at how much activity it got! There's some cool footage here of several different species!

Insanely wonderful footage. I watch UA-cam often for years, all kinds of stupid stuff. Ive sat in the woods and listened to the calm of leaves hitting the ground. The activity on the ridge is incredible. Keep posting... Watching this video was so calming, in the woods. I live in Houston Texas. Thank you, Bob.

Yes it is amazing. Especially when they see it at nighttime.
Videos at night are cool and can be kinda spooky. Sometimes you will see a pair of glowing eyes but too far away to tell what kind of animal it is....then you realize that whatever it is.... it's looking at you.... 😵

It sounded like that one bear was going to take your camera apart. Great footage. It's too bad the city people only get to look at cars and buildings most of the time. I grew up in the country, I will always be country. One great thing country and city don't mix very well together. Kind of like water and gasoline mix, after all the shaking they will separate sooner or later. One thing I enjoy most, getting away from all of the road noise and sounds of the city. Get me into the country and I'm right at home with nature. I need to put up my trail camera.

Really enjoyed that! Was surprised there wasn't any humans out there on your camera. There was a time that it was like that here in north Idaho. You can't go anywhere now without people scouting for deer in the woods. Once a quaint population, no more though. We got Cali-bombed. Small town are now spreading metropilous. Big game poached and run into Canada. Too many people now with lots of money and can work from home. They even poach the little herd of deer off the golf courses! Sometimes I just don't like people!

Nice footage, when I find good game trails crossing Quad trails or old logging trails, I now hike in anywhere from 200 yards to a mile. I do this because I have had 5 cameras stolen when they are too close to any well used trails. I found it interesting that only one bear took an interest in your camera. It looked like it was getting dark early at the end of June as your IR was triggered.
where I go in northern Canada, it is light until 10:30pm in June.

Curious what attracts the deer and the bear to these trail cams? They always find them, and sniff them, maybe it's the scent of the plastic or rubber on the camera, or maybe they see the infra red at night? Whatever it is, it's the same for Sasquatch. They know when the camera is there or not.

I see lots of trail cam footage but never see any bigfeet. Gee, they must not exist! Also interesting is the fact the animals are very aware of the game cam's presence. Both a deer buck and a big black bear sniffed it. I also have always wondered how many game cameras are simply stolen by folks that walk by and see them, since they are so easy to see, like a sore thumb. I'd think that trespassers especially would steal them, since that would eliminate evidence of their trespassing. Then they can always use the cam themselves or even sell it.
