It happens unfortunately. I was talking to a lady on Thursday and she told me that someone stole all of the pots from outside her neighbour's house during the night. Disgusting. Thanks for watching.
It's ok, they'll grow back haha. Most of the time I can't give spare plants away so if someone wants a plant that bad I'd happily sort one for them. Such is life. Shame they don't steal the weeds and slugs :)
It is sad to hear that, especially with the effort, time, and money you put in. You'd be surprised if you did catch them who might it be, it's probably some supposedly respectable older person? I worked for the council a while back on a refurbished old Japanese garden, someone kept stealing plants and trees, and luckily once a ranger caught a supposedly retired person with a Japanese Maple tree in their possession.
Yes, they knew what plants to take, particularly the Strawberries, so it's likely to be someone who knows gardening. It's just annoying because I've given plants to strangers who stop and talk when they see me out in the garden. There's no need to steal them and make a mess. Thanks for watching.
