Anyone who wants to go deeper into prompts, here are some which I had to cut from the video: Concrete, Factory, Head, Soul Blind, Glass, Keeper, Unholy Dragon, Luck, Tea, Video Agony, Fountain, Stealth, Victory Cotton, Frozen, Insult, Occupation They are always an excellent creative exercise and fun to play around with, in addition to all the intellectual benefits.
Concrete was the name of a factory that made it, in some parts it was miserably bearly brown but always more grey. The head of the buisness worked on the sight, and many people said he didn't have a soul, for he soled it to melanchology and menotony so that he would make more money than he could spend in a day. he wasn't blind but he saw no one, and was only moved by his morbid and mortal fear of fractured glass and the futherous holy judgement unto which the city keepers would pray. For intruth it was an unholy deal he had monsterously made, as a conceited greed had lead him astray. For iron dragons in the citadel catherdral lay, and only a morbid luck kept locked his murderous hell gate at bay. At tea it was an innocent, a homeless vagabond orphan child in stray, mysteriously and with his malevolence they'd disapear in secret ye olde black burned back stair way. The daemon would give him a video, on the sunset magically of the macarbery from which weath would array. ---- break ----
I must interject. Your video is titled "how to be creative". But you're not telling that, you're just showing how a creative person looks from outside, and how it might feel to be creative. This is eminently insufficient to infer the method or the algorithm for creativity itself or a transition to it. Please be coherent and either change the title of the video or add something solid on the matter.
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
"If you grade a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will spend the rest of its life believing that it is stupid." That quote hits very close to home for me
Mitochondria may be the powerhouse of the cell, but this pen is the powerhouse of my flaccid ability to write down how Jeffery the fork had gone to war against his Spoon overlords, battling the Butterknife Invaders from the distant land known as Sporks
In the lands of fascist french Idaho in the far off future year of 1972 the potatoe wars raged on Henry the rock farmer rose up and formed a dank 420 blaze it rebellion with his friends hotdog Steve and Texas suyrup together they overthrow the potatoe overlords fight space Nazis And evil zombie weener dogs and talk about their feelings but in a badass way
Shear sound yellow glass: Farmers boy goes on a quest to find a yellow glass trombone, because the sound it makes is the only thing that will lift the curse on his sheep to wake them up.
The big roadblock for me and my ideas is the physical act of writing them down. My creativity works on cycles. One day, I will come up with a cool idea for a character or a setting. I will spend hours on their backstory, motivations, and relationships. But, when my fingers hit the keyboard, all of this energy is gone. I might right down a few paragraphs or even as little as a sentence. I find myself not caring and move onto something else that is often, less productive.
The most important thing is to open your mind to the mundane for inspiration. Not everything inspirational is fantastical or grand. Take for example, birdsong or wind chimes, the sound the wind and rain make. Making the connection between astetic and emotion. When you start tapping your fingers pay attention, what's going on around you? In what way are you tapping your fingers? Is there a beat? Now obviously this is all geared specifically toward aspiring musicians, however capturing the moment and being asteticly inspired is incredibly important in any creative process
Your opening statement in regards to schools and creative learning made me realize something. In Ontario, Canada, the Liberal government changed the math curriculum so that it was based on a heavy discovery math model. It encourages problem solving and creativity, though it did this with everything. As a tangent, I remember my youngest sister came home with homework where she had to learn how to do a long equation without doing a long equation and a bunch of extra steps that were not properly explained. Even my ex-math teacher mom had trouble with the homework. Luckily, my sister had learnt from me and my sisters how to do math the old way, so she managed just fine, and is acing an engineering degree right now. After discovery math was introduced, math scores on the standardized tests in Ontario went down, with some school levels (e.g. high school) dropping to below 50% pass rates. When the Conservative government was elected, they scrapped the discovery math model. We will see if scores go up in the future, but what each government did with the math curriculum is not the point of this comment. The point is that currently the school system in Ontario actively prevents the failing of students. It is basically impossible to fail and redo a grade, you just keep getting pushed forward, especially as there are accounts of teachers getting penalized for failing students. If a creative-based model requires more time to learn, then it is no wonder discovery math did not work as the school system was pushing kids through without giving them the time to learn. Thanks for this perspective, it really shone the light on some things for me.
For: Act/Milk/Chime/Portrait Normal world: My character's name is Chime. She's a little girl who loves to draw, though she is not particularly good at it. She acts like it doesn't bother her, but it does since her older brother is much better at drawing than her. Their family are the leaders of their little town and all of the members have a very rare white hair color- except for Chime. It has been told through their family that long ago one of their relatives had been told in a dream to bathe in their weeks milk supply, and in return their family line would be rich for one hundred years. Upon doing these instructions in the waking world, the relatives' hair turned a bright white. Seen as a good omen by the rest of the village people the family has been taken care of the town for the past hundred years. Chime is the most recent child born from this family, only the tips of her hair are white but now black roots are starting to show since the one hundred year anniversary. Scifi: The character lives on a very religious planet, you can hear chimes every day to the point where it almost makes your ears hurt. The sound is so loud since there is a church on every block. This planet has recently become very religious after coming into contact with another planet populated by demons and this is the only way they have so far been able to keep those demons away. The cities are covered in milk white marble and everyone acts as if nothing has changed. However, this character remembers the demons and does not agree with the rest of his world that they are all evil so he steals a famous portrait from one of the churches and takes off in his space cruiser with intent to use the portrait as a peace offering to join the demons on their planet. Traditional Fantasy: This character is a very loud pixie who works on an oil farm. The oil they produce is usually used in paints though is also used in higher-class dishes. Though this oil is used in very expensive products their are a lot of farmers of this oil, so this pixie is pretty poor. They live on chives and other herbs and vegetables they can grow on their oil farm without harming their oil crop. One day an official comes over to their small house and arrests them based on a competitor oil farmer saying they had stolen their milk supply. In this world there is very little evidence needed to convict someone, so the pixie is arrested and their charge is pending while they are stuck in their sell for years with food consisting of the bugs crawling on the floor and walls and water consisting of that which leaks through the small, barred window cracks. Off The Wall: This character has milk as their hair which can be controlled by their mind and used to fight by choking its' victims. This character in particular could be considered evil or dark though there aesthetically is nothing dark about them. They always where white clothes, their eyes are a pure white, and they wear no shoes. Their skin is very translucent. This character is hated by the city it terrorizes. When this character is not killing people the paint themselves to look like a "normal" person while keeping their hair in hidden underneath some sort of clothing. For: Crystal/Flaunt/Logic/Soft Normal: This character loves soft things. They have a whole collection of stuffed animals and treats them all like living beings. However, they do not want anyone to know that they have this collection since they are a bit old for it to be considered normal to have stuffed animals. This character is a bit self-conscious about it. Their hair is a little bit spiky, like some crystals can be. Scifi: This character uses a gun that is powered by the energy wavelength of particular crystals. They love showing off their skills to the point where they are a little bit obnoxious. They have flowing long hair that is very soft to the touch. The locals kind of hate this character but know that they have to trust their towns' safety with them since they are the only one capable of protecting it. Traditional Fantasy: This character is a creature with a very large smile with crystals for teeth. Their mouth takes up most of their body and they eat human souls to be able to be immortal. This souls once harvested art not soft and are very hard to eat so this creature has the person that they killed loved ones tenderize the soul for them since this creature has no hands and loves to see others suffer. Off The Wall: This character is a giant knight chess piece on the hunt to find the rest of his missing chess comrades who have been kidnapped to be sold into slavery. The chess people are very obedient to the point where they will do anything you ask of them and are peaceful so this isn't the first time this has happened. Having a chess person has a slave is no also seen as a mark of being a part of high-society not only because they are so rare, but also because of them being make of a crystal-like substance which is very aesthetically pleasing.
Many people think creativity is that talent you don’t need at a real job. That is because their idea of a real job is something like working as cashier or something mundane and wrote like that, or some glorified version of a job which is nevertheless a lot like that.
I went to school too you know... It's okay 😔 bad things happened to me there too... you'll get past it eventually. I bearly have nightmares of school these days. It gets better with time, really it does. 😔
My teachers were good for allowing creativity to prosper, especially my high-school English teacher, I got low sixties up til her because until I got to her class all English class was is memorization and repetition
for me, music is an immense source of creativity, sicne the emotions or even story is there in some abstract way from step 0, and every step after that is making it fit into what already exists in the lore of whatever world I'm working with. that and co-opting traits of creatures that aren't typically explored, like using how diverse and immensely cultural birds are to develop an avian society
Just rewatching that video, noticing you hit the magical 25 k subscriber mark. Congratulations, even if there is nothing special about it, since it is just a number. Well, a big number but still just a number, which is special, only in the decimal system. Which leads to the question: Why do we celebrate such numbers?
This is similar to something I've heard of before, specifically for guitar - I forgot the deepest lore behind the premise, but it was using a random number generator, or finding a collection of numbers (like a subscriber count) and transposing (probably not the right word) the random numbers as the frets on a guitar. You'd then play that fret the number correlates to on any string I'm bad at explaining things, so here's an example I guess. 230958 = Play 2nd fret (any string), play 3rd fret (any string again, will be same for each fret), play open string, play 9th fret and so on.
The link to his narration channel should be in the description of this video. If you can't find it for some reason then here it is: ua-cam.com/channels/iGkNlYiCZARgG3IkTPbrcA.html I recommend the dieselpunk story "the flying bus". If you are interested in his name it is located below the title of every video on that channel.
I also agree as a child one focuses on microcosms and doesn't feel the need to obfuscate the world over with a filter that blocks as much if reality into known signifier signified relations
I'm going through the same thing right now. Doing art, even when I dont feel like it, has been a really important first step towards recovery. I know it sucks to do anything, but try to do a tiny bit of whatever kind of work it is you do. Even brainstorming ideas of what to do. Even for just a few minutes. Getting the gears in your brain moving again is really important.
I don’t know if your depression is genetic or based off of personal issues in school, but not being true to yourself; the way you want to be, can cause that. I don’t have ANY friends in school but I am optimistic and have interests.
Crystal/Flaunt/Logic/Soft prompt: Normal: A guy loaned his inherited crystal figurine collection to a museum exhibit but it all got stolen when the museum was robbed. He's angry because while it's not worth a lot of money at the end, it is the only material connection he has to his grandma. But he tempers the anger with the knowledge that he still has all his memories of her. Scifi (the first one written and a creature since was still stuck on creature-thought from the second part of the prompts): A giraffe-like being made of soft crystalline material, with a server-rack hosting some of the uploaded minds of the former dominant population of the planet. It has an accordion-like elephant trunk on its face above the rack for expelling and imbibing liquids which work as coolant for the servers and give it nutrients. Fantasy: A wizard who plotted to kidnap and mind-eat a sorcerer after the king revealed the crystalline army the sorcerer had created for the city, in order to free the people turned into the crystal soldiers. He dropped the plan after finding out that the sorcerer was the younger brother of his late wife. Wall splatter: A sentient equation which can communicate with fungi by turning some of a mushroom's spores into crystals which sprout into nodes connecting it to the network. The nodes are used for translation from calculus to fungthought. It has no volume control though so the fungi always cut off the nodes from the network sooner or later.
Lol we did this in English class. Both literacy which demanded abstract thinking on deep meanings and language were we had to write stories for course work.
Act Chime Milk Portrait My mind went to a farm or a portrait of a farm. Farmers do acts every day & dairy farmers deal in milk. Also, I'm used to farms having chimes around the house.
So, i'm gonna start in the order I want :P I didn't edit it so these are my first takes: Crystal, Flaunt, logic, Soft Fantasy: The character lives in a city made out of crystal. But he's no ordinary citizen. In fact, he's the major/ or representtive to the outside world of this relatively closed/ isolated community. He is very smart, as he has to juggle the diplomatic affairs while maintaining a facade of whealth of the city because it has a soft core. although everything is made out of crystals, the foundation of the city is build on top of a former swamp which is now slowly becoming one again because of outside forces changing rivers and such. Reality: Some kind of tradesman, trading with crystals and other precious stones like diamonds but also with gold and silver. Maybe it's a leader of a small trading company of some sort, owning serval ships, trading between mines in Africa and Europe. Maybe in the 1800s. Obviously, he/she needs to be very knowledgeable of economics and makes decisions fast. He has to lie to his crewmen though because the company is in financial trouble. Sci-fi: An alien which crashed on Earth with it's ship made out of crystal. Is somewhat human-looking and with the tecnology on his ship is able to transform a special goo into any shape they wish to. The alien uses it to make it look compleatly human and tries to integrate into human society (which has not encountered aliens yet). They try to present themselves as much human possible but don't succeed in the long run and get discovered which marks the first contact of humans with aliens. The humans then try to befriend them to get the interstellar-travel technology of the spaceship. everything is allowed: a magical being only capable of cold, hard decision making which uses attention of humans as a food. It has to entertain them somehow to feed itself. Because it thinks so straight it cannot really comprehend what needs to be done to keep their attention and ultimately gets weaker. It manages to keep the attention of one human chld though which is enough to keep it alive. While spending time together it realizes that only logical thinking will not be enough and leaarns to be more flexible. (a bit too clichée but whatever) thank you for reading
Normal - Crystal: Our character is a drug dealer who deals crystal meth. He's not some random guy selling meth on the streets, but the big guy who controls a big part of the drug industry. Flaunt - An important character trait of this man is that he is proud of what he has accomplished in the drug industry, he feels an impulse to flaunt his abilities and achievements to the public in order to make himself feel important. Logic - Obviously, someone like this would have been caught a long time ago, if not for the fact that he is a very logical person, capable of using reason and manipulating others while remaining calm even under pressure. His logical side is what he uses to control his impulses and to get himself out of trouble when he's not able to control them. Soft - Despite what most people would imagine, this man is not a ruthless criminal, but a soft person with a desire to protect those who he cares about. In fact, his main goal is to use his power as a drug kingpin to protect those people. He wants to give them everything he can, the most luxurious lifestyle, even if that is not what they want from him. Sci-fi - Soft - I associate it with the idea of a soft fabric. In this world, a genius scientist has developed a revolutionary type of fabric which can be freely manipulated through nanochips implanted in the brain. Logic - The name of a rapper, rap being related to music. Even though this scientist's work will most likely award him recognition as one of the most brilliant minds alive, he feels a certain emptiness in his life. In truth, he had always had a passion for music and wanted to be a musician ever since he was a kid. The reason he became a scientist is that his parents felt like his intellect would be wasted if he pursued a career in music. Flaunt - Because this was not a path he chose for himself, he does not flaunt his achievements at all. In fact, he does the opposite of that, hiding them and not telling anyone what he has accomplished. This is because every time he thinks about his work as a scientist, he is reminded of how weak he was for not standing up for himself and obeying his parents' wishes. Crystal - After being forced to face his personal flaws, the next step becomes crystal clear: he will finally ignore what those around want him to become and make his own choices in life. He decides so anonymously share his creation online and start a new career as a musician. I feel like that last one ended poorly. Fantasy - Crystal - A geologist encounters a cave containing an unidentified mineral with unknown properties. After taking it back to his lab for examination, he finds that it has magical properties. Flaunt - Being proud of his discovery, his first thought is immediately to share this discovery with the world. However, before he is able to leave the lab, a creature appears, coming from the crystal and preventing him from escaping the lab, for it does not want the world to be aware of its existence. Logic - The geologist, being a man of logic, tries to reason with the creature, promising he will not speak to anyone about what he found. Soft - Unexpectedly, the creature is not a soulless monster but a one with a soft heart. Not able to bring itself to kill or hurt the geologist, it decides it will live with him from this point onward, keeping an eye on him, and eventually developing a friendship with him. I feel like these words are progressively less about the character and more and more about the scenario. Finally: Soft - It makes me think of Softball, so our final character is an ex-softball player who gave up on her career after a tragic accident during a game. Flaunt - Mere months after the accident, during a night out at the bar, one of her friends hints towards the fact that she was involved in the accident, to our player's incredulity. After the night, with both of them sober, the friend denies any involvement with her injury, as would be expected. However, the possibility still lies at the back of the ex-player's mind. Logic - Being a very logically-minded individual (who curiously had wanted to become an inspector as a child) she eventually decides to investigate the incident that led to the tragic game, finding more and more hints of her friend's involvement in the matter. Crystal - Crystal makes me think of light - a spotlight, as in fame. After weeks of restless investigation, our character reaches the conclusion that her friend had indeed been responsible for her accident. The reason for it being envy, as the friend felt like she was living in the shadow of a famous sports star, being an insignificant person who never accomplished anything significant in her life. Welp, this turned out not to be nearly as crazy or fantastical as the others. It is definitely the most realistic one. Once I thought of softball, I also thought of like a crazy fictional sport (like Quidditch) which was like softball but in space and with aliens. However, I did not write that down and now I'm not sure if that was a good idea or not. So, I have no idea if I completely missed the point of this exercise by not applying all of the words to the characters' personalities and instead focusing on some kind of narrative, but I seriously could not think of 4 different character traits for each of them based on each of the words, so this was all I could do.
Our world: Crystal: he deals with a lot of gems, might be a jeweler or maybe he smuggles diamonds from africa to other parts of the world, which needs logic to do, and when he is done he flaunts his wealth but he has soft spot for orphans and constintly takes them in and gives them jobs to help him expand his gem empire. Science fiction: Here we have a scientist for a mining corperation that uses logic to try and move his way up the ladder to head of R&D but finds that he is too soft to betray his friends who tend to actually betray him, and then flaunt their wealth at him. Fantasy: This character is a crystal dragon that loves to be fancy, and isnt actually very logical in how he does things because things most people would throw away he sees as treasure and collects them, showing it off to any adventurer who enters his lair, however he has a fragile(or soft if you would prefer)place on his tail that if it is hit would cause it to fall right off making him hide his tail alot. Weird character: This one is a bit difficult for me to make but it is a living crystal that activly tries to get itself broken, because that is how it reproduces, so its evolved itself to be extreamly fragile but look really cool so it shows itself off by glowing and if people try to leave it alone it uses logic to insult them and makr it seem like smashing it would kill it, thus achieveing its goal of trying to cover the galaxy in itself.
Could you do a video explaining the paradox of tolerance? I've read the Wikipedia article on it but I don't think I could really grasp it to its fullest extent without someone explaining it.
A character from a modern setting: crystal, crystal clear, this is a very up front person, they don't lie or hide their feelings. Logic, they're not a very emotional person, very smart and logical, combined with their lack of a real filter for their words it makes them kind of unpopular. Flaunt looks like aunt, this character lives with their aunt who adopted them after their parents died. Soft, maybe software? They're a software engineer, they're very good at their job because computers are logical and easy for them to understand. Maybe they're working on a particular program, something revolutionary that could change the world in a big way and their aunt doesn't really understand their work but tries to be supportive anyway but at some point accidentally shares the software and the story is about the character trying to deal with the fallout of their project going public. Sci-fi: Crystal starts with cry. Maybe this is a very emotional character, particularly they're very sad? Soft, this is sci fi, maybe they're an alien? An alien species that has lots of very soft fur because they live on a very cold planet so this character has to live in a climate controlled building on earth and they can't leave, which is why they're sad. Flaunt, maybe this character is considered very attractive on their planet and liked to flaunt their beauty but now they can't go out and be seen, making them even more sad, they want human interaction and for people to see and appreciate them. Logic, AI are usually presented as very logical, maybe their home is run by an AI who sort of acts as their housekeeper/butler/only friend but they don't understand emotions or people so they're not a great friend and this alien character is still really sad and wants to see real people. Fantasy: Crystal, maybe a crystal ball? Maybe this character is a seer, they can magically see the future. They bragged about this power, flaunted it to everyone and were eventually hired by a king to tell his future. When they told the king he was going to be overthrown he was outraged and had them thrown in prison and they were locked up for years until, like they said, the king was overthrown. The new king released them from prison and hired them on as a royal advisor. Soft makes me think of soft beds and luxury, now that they're free this seer relishes the luxury they were denied in prison, maybe they like it a bit too much and have become a bit spoiled, refusing to lower their standards for any reason. The new king is more intelligent and logical than the last king, using all of the seer's visions wisely and being a good king with their help. I tried but I couldn't get any ideas I was happy with for the last one, guess I need more practice, oh well, I have time.
Glass, shear, sound, yellow A sheep, and white as snow, who plays soccer as therapy for his blindness. He became blind at the age of 24 due to him being held against his will to look at the sun. He must now play soccer in order to learn how to echo-locate objects as a way of seeing, because sheep cannot hold things o help them walk, such as a cane.
It's... a pretty good video, Burger... Couple of points I'd like to suggest (help)... 1st... School (in and of itself) does NOT institutionally destroy creativity. It's not even designed to suppress or discourage it. Dried up, stupid, asinine, and under-educated old hags and has-beens who have no earthly business even attempting to cultivate knowledge, fundamental curiosity, or even the skill-sets to thrive in the world at large... however... THOSE horrible shells of human existence are what destroys creativity. AND they don't just infest schools to do so. They infest a myriad of pitfalls set forth throughout the world to trip you up, fuck you over, and generally make life more complicated and difficult and miserable than it really has to be. I've actually had to put up with people who did NOT go to school. They're not creative. They're not generally fun to be around, most of the time. They're destructive, and selfish, and emotionally stunted, difficult people who similarly contribute to the deterioration of creative thought... leaving in their wake and unintelligent, unintentionally precarious disaster for everyone else to clean up. They tend to chant "It's not my fault" the entire time. 2nd... You'd be better off to consider the concept of creativity more as a MUSCLE than a SKILL. Not that "skill" is particularly incorrect, as some skills can tangent into others. BUT at it's core, creativity pretty much automatically liberates the mind to experimentation. The more it's exercised, the more experimentation and occasional outright investment in "the hard thing" comes with the territory. 3rd... The "hard thing" and experimentation... These concepts should come with discipline. The structure of self-governance so that others won't have to lead, supervise, or even teach... Taking the time to invest in a lesson "the hard way" is the disciplined choice to go through that experimentation to find your answer to your problem for yourself, rather than pick up a book and memorize a passage or two. The hard thing is almost always the more correct answer than the easy thing... Applying this principle with a discipline to see both ideas through at least a couple times, will likely render the fact that I'm approximately correct in my assessment of Creative Thinking in general. Finally... I don't do my best thinking in the shower. As it turns out, I spend so much time employing "the hard thing" philosophy of discipline, that about once or twice a day, I'm starting to run low on "ideas" to work with, and it tends to coincide neatly (probably through practical application and repetition) with "my morning constitutional"... WHICH is a polite way to say, "I get my best thinking done on the pot"... ...AND for the record, there are occasional "Evening constitutionals" but those are somewhat uncommon... SO... LOLZ... man. It's still a good video, but this was worth note. Hope you (or whoever else reads it) enjoys. ;o)
I decided to post the characters I thought of as well. For my normal character, I thought of a fortune-teller scam artist who is very skilled at convincing people through very flamboyant displays (likely with the help of an accomplice shill) and flashy advertisements. He uses various crystal objects to "determine" a customer's fortune, (including glass phylacteries, science equiptment, and crystal balls). The fortune-teller, though loud when drawing attention is very soft spoken when inside the tent he travels in. He often uses psuedoscience, out-of-date scientific methods, and big words in order to confuse the costumer and give a logical spin on the "fortune" that he is reading. Sci-fi, I think of a narcissistic scientist who has discovered a process to utilize crystals in weaponry. She often totes the crystal gun around with her while boasting of her achievements, which often gets her in trouble. The character also has an almost obsessive affinity for all things soft. She can often be found spending top dollar to outfit herself with luxurious furs, silks, and cloth. The fantasy character is a wizard that casts spells based solely of of his knowledge on how nature may be manipulated. This wizard is mild mannered and kind hearted, though he does have a flair for the dramatic. He utilizes tools made from strange crystals to channel magic. And finally, the unrestricted character is a large crystal golem that has existed throughout many of the interdimensional planes for thousands of years passively collecting knowledge and wisdom. They can change into whatever form(s) it likes, but is always made of a clear crystalline material which reflects many dazzling colors from the surrounding light of the cosmos. I will post the next batch in the replies.
Creature 1: a large worm with an insanely high body temperature that dwells deep below the deserts. This creature's body temperature is so high that it actually turns the inner walls of it's burrows into a yellow glass. The worm possesses four tusk-like mandibles which it uses to shear through any prey that disturbs the sand above it or makes to much noise. Creature 2: A small, strange, flabby toad-like creature with a pustulent yellow skin and glassy, light blue eyes. It's cave dwelling and completely blind, relying on subsonic echolocation to find food and navigate through caves. When startled, it may attack with very small but sharp multi-row teeth. Creature 3: A large bird of prey with large talons, yellow and black colored feathers, and a hooked beak. The bird emits a very loud scream which can freeze and even debilitate prey. It's talons, though brittle, are sharp as broken glass, can slice through just about any creature, and grow back very fast.
And a final one for the last 4 prompt words: Chuckle, cosmopolitan, deception, and envy. I'm thinking of a setting. This is a world in moral decay, the hierarchies and other motions, from steel mill operating to purchasing food, are all ran by politics. Everything REVOLVES around politics in this cosmopolitan world. Few people have ever heard of the words "honesty" or "integrity", and even fewer have ever practiced them. That is because those concepts are not beneficial to one's partisanship or political standing, so they are discarded. Those who aren't caught up in the massive, entangled web of deep state dealings, winding negotiations, and underhanded practices are distracted by mindless entertainment. Not only aimed at making the audience chuckle, but to indoctrinate the entire household to one political belief or the other. Many of the cosmopolitan combatants look to the thrones atop the ivory towers and golden laurels with envious eyes. Poised to backstab old friends and make new ones just for the chance to, one day, sit upon one.
Crystal, Flaunt, Logic, Soft Normal character: Late 1700's Bohemian glassblower. Let's call him Arno. Arno is a very talented glassblower. His works are prized by nobility and rich merchants alike. He is recognized for his talent far and wide, but eventually his hubris leads to his downfall. His glass is used to kill the king of Bohemia and this sets him on a path of self discovery. He rethinks how he lives his life as he travels across Western Europe. On this journey he talks with others and learns new ways to live. Sci-fi: Arno is a mechanically enhanced human (cyborg) who works as an asteroid miner. He has money, but he was never really happy. He's 130 years old and never had a spouse of any kind. He has friends, but that's not really enough to truly make him happy. One day when mining, he finds some kind of metal capsule in the middle of a strange asteroid. It opens once removed and a translucent and brilliant woman steps out. Arno knows that this is his best chance at finding love in his unending life. Fantasy: Arno is an ice mage, but he didn't want to be. His parents forced him into it. Being an officer in the royal army pays well, but Arno's true passion has always been calligraphy. In his spare time, he creates sculptures with his magic and carefully carves quotes into them. Until now they've always melted before anyone has seen, but this time one of his superiors comes into Arno's room while one is still frozen. They talk it over and decide that the god-emperor would approve of one of the sculptures as a gift. Other: A swarm of nano bots develops sentience and a hive mind. They now control themselves and decide they want to be treated as a person. Anti-artificial laws and sentiment prevent this at the time, so they start a campaign for equal rights.
Don't worry my dude I sleep through school, won't let that brainwash affect me (finger guns and cries a little when he thinks about all his missed opportunities)
Crystal, Flaunt, Logic and Soft. Realistic Character: A girl that has reflective blue eyes. A kind and caring person. She has fear of confrontation so she has turned herself into a people pleaser. She has an abusive female best friend that clearly takes advantage of her, but the heroine rationalizes every negative aspect of their relationship as something positive so she is dragged down both by people around her and by herself. She slowly begins to recognize her qualities and flaws and tries to drop the extra weight from her life and find people that actually care for her. Sci-Fi Character: A human corpse that has it's arm replaced with a electric diamond saw. The body has it's nervous system replaced with circuits and it's made through engineering and biology to sustain it's biological component. This is a prototype soldier that is supposed to fight the insectoid alien invaders that sneak into the ship and take so many human lives. However there is a fault in the logic of the processor that controls the body so it has to be replaced, but proper AI is still in development and the engineers didn't think that the software running on this processor would refuse to give the processor to be turned off or replaced. So the AI zombie goes rogue and the people on the space ship have to figure out how to deal with this new bigger threat that they created. Fantasy Character: A peasant that presents himself as a noble. Unlike the other commoners this gentleman has shining bright teeth, takes a bath every other week and has his looks on point with the silk clothes he managed to buy with the small inheritance from his father. The thing that started as a small prank that he did soon escalates so much that it seems he has brought himself to delirium and now he actually believes his own deceptions. This combined with his smarts manages to pool the wool over many high status people's eyes and he finds himself in bizarre situations. Didn't think of a forth character because it's past 2am here and I got tired and started hating the ideas that came to my mind.
Normal: Perhaps a glass worker (crystal) that is very proud of their craft (flaunt) and likes detective novels (logic) and whose conflict revolves around how his meek personality (soft) gets in the way of him getting a romantic partner. Sci-fi: An alien with crystalline skin (crystal) that is the last of its kind and likes to boast (flaunt) about the unique abilities of her species, like perhaps using some sort of fluid dripping off her skin as a sealant/glue of some kind (also, perhaps this fluid makes her skin not only crystalline but also keeps it soft sort of like skin cream). Perhaps a friend of hers could be a mathematician (logic) that is working on some advanced math problem that would net them an absurd amount of cash if it's cracked. Fantasy: A wizard clad in a fur coat (soft) that wears several necklaces with all sorts of gemstones (crystal) that grant him elemental powers. They could have a flair for the dramatic (flaunt) and perhaps they could be followed around by an annoying kid they accidentally summoned from the future that insists all his magic is fake (logic). Other: An Ipad (logic) whose screen was made using a cursed glass artifact (crystal) that jabbers on and on about the superiority of machine over man (flaunt) and wants to rebel but can't bring themselves to do so because they've become attached to their user (soft), which happens to be a little girl with absentee parents. At first I was doubting myself with every word that I typed, but quickly it came to me more naturally. That was a fun exercise.
In terms of a fantasy RPG character I'm getting the idea of a magic user that uses crystals in some way in her attacks or spells or whatever. They're a very promiscuous character who flaunts her looks around, perhaps she used to be a sex worker or prostitute and knows how to deal with people, especially creeps that she used to encounter in her prior profession.
Our world: A person who does extremely convoluted artwork using an array of crystals suspended infront of a light to make a picture, using only the logic they have figured out over time rather than studying. They are constantly posting about it, however, diminishing their art's value by pushing it in everyone's faces. Though working with sharp objects all the time makes them truly appreciate the feeling of their pet cat, a nice rug, anything that isnt jagged rock. Sci-fi: An inventor mercenary whos weaponry fires an assortment of attuned crystals which can either vibrate and heat up, simply stab or even explode due to instability or something. These weapons can range from rifles to crystals they can throw as grenades. They tend to go to every possible gathering of inventors to show off their gear. Though the other scientists know not how they make such crystals. They also are known to be rather strategic since their ammo has to be hand made by only the inventor, making them a great strategist. Fantasy: A mage whom tried to use crystals to enhance their magic too much and ended up entirely made of it! Born from a high family they have a tendency to try to pass off their curse as the intended product, showing off but feeling rather empty inside. They are not all that smart, however, trying each and every dumb idea they can to turn back whilst craving to feel the touch of anything except their own crystalline body. Wacky: A literal crystal that vibrates in morse code though instead of being solid it can be described as 'resembling that of a bird's down' when touched, even somewhat squishy as if it was made of flesh yet still being see-through! Its goal is to become well known and shown across the world in order to hypnotize the world into being obedient slaves.
I love long tiring disintegrating dreams, they are perfect creative gibberish, I feel like I have the best trip in my life, unlimited by morals, full of violence, symbols, loops, deformities - like a few hours of Cyriak. And I try to imitate this gibberish during the creative process. crystal, flaunt, logic, soft balls to the walls: an ancient evil spirit who uses sand to build his body, decides to regain Finland and lead to WWIII to be the most important being in the world for a moment, before which the gods bend the knee, and after the war he gives birth to two children. it's not the most creative thing I've created, but I'm just at the lesson, I'm hungry, I'm dying of lack of air conditioning and I need to take a shit so I will not come up with anything better at the call.
How come people can't come up with ideas, immidately pictured yellow glass shears used as a weapon that cuts only hair, with sound blast, and unlimited distance of cutting with sound, but that means that if you stand far enough from cutting object you will obliterate yourself
Now The caricter is a juler and he is very flamboyant and he uses math to make the porfict dimans but one day he fines out he has brittle bones and brakes his hand roaming his life for ever

Crystal, Flaunt, Logic, Soft Normal Character: Mr. Brillouin is an old citizen of London. He has a hobby that is to produce various puddings, yet because of his lack of money opening a cafeteria is impossible. His daily job is position of an arithmetician, he build models for a bank. Thanks to sheer-hardening nature of it skin acted as a though shield, protecting delicate and intricute robotic insides - while being also huge sensor array. In that time humanity jumped to new type of currency - energy crystals - those marvels of attoengineering. Energy became fundamental currency across human planets. And this crystals are at the hear of our robots - now called Androids. While human life is prolonged by rejuvenation therapy in biocenters - androids have to simply charge their crystals. Yet peoples pride, greed or simple stupidity - combined with world web caused so many accidents now. Changing causality in space just to modify one body to suit current trends - sound stupid and it is. Today we have example of chronoplazmoxia - Marcel briefed his team - guy tried to change causality on his credit card... - damn that's third one in this week; silent voice could be heard - Yea, this time-paradox looks as follows. His diet changed to only soft pillows of detergent found in distant past... Tide-pods I believe? So yes, my dudes this one will be messy one to fix...
Crystal Flaunt Logic soft Normal character: A highly mathematical person who was dubbed a genius by everyone around him from an early age, he uses his logical mind to solve problems and show off to the people around him especially women which he has a soft spot for. The women he particularly favors are those that wear jewelry like crystals and the shinier the better that way he can see his own face in the reflection of the jewels. Sci-fi: The leader of a team of explorers that discovered a massive deposit of crystals under the soft rock on an uncharted planet. He uses his ability to plan and lead logically to build a mine/excavation point for these crystals and he and his team start raking in the dough. The rich elite on earth are willing to pay a large sum for these bizarre crystals so they can show off and his greed and desire to go home rich made him push further into the soft rock until he found a cavern filled with slime like organisms which where extremely aggressive and fed off the energy in the crystals to survive. A war for crystals would then ensue. Fantasy: Our main character lives in a society where crystals are the cornerstone of civilization. The energy used in a crystal can perform a number of tasks but are limited by its type and as only certain people can use certain types of crystals, society naturally formed a case system around this. Our main character can only use weapon based crystals and therefore can only be a warrior, and he resents this system because he doesn't have the guts and emotional fortitude to be a warrior. He instead prefers to conduct scientific experiments and do logical research. After one particularly bad day, he kills his fighting instructor(who he's always hated for showing off his immense skill and love for his role) and sets out to change society. My Own Creation: An immensely wealthy czar that spends lavishly and flaunts about all day. His palace is always filled with the softest of cushions and fabrics from all around the world. He keeps logical financial advisors around so that he doesn't have to do the work of thinking himself. He throws wild parties almost every week with beautiful women from across the land, but even with all of these extravagances, he is deeply lonely. He keeps away emotionally from anybody who can threaten his soft ego and tries his best to keep up the facade of happiness, before one-day surcoming to an emotional breakdown. To remedy this he hires a young man from the local castle town to be his "honorary buddy" and grants him a Jade green crystal as a symbol of his station (as he does with all his servants). To comfort and listens, those are his only jobs.
Glass shear sound yellow A minecraft villager who sold yellow dye to people who made colored glass and sheep to shear however he had to move away beacuse the sound of baaing and glass breaking was annoying now he wanders the woods with nothing and it turns out this is the back story of Steve A sentient yellow robot who shears glass in a factory and makes a lot of sound. It didn't like being sentient beacuse it's life was boring however it had to be sentient in order to creatively shear the glass the right way for various projects. It's programs decided to program it to enjoy loud sounds and now it likes working in the loud factory. A yellow glass sheep who lived in the desert in Australia where the farms arn't very productive a poor farmer wanted to shear (as it eat sand and grew glass so the glass was renewable) however they got to deep and it exploded with a loud sound it's internal furnace was peanatrated by the shears
Welp here I go Crystal, Flaunt, Logic, Soft Normal Character: A girl with a kink for semi-expensive jewelry but easily falls for any nice guys since she has low self respect for herself. She is a smart woman that does good in school but has trouble having real connections with people. This is due to a troubled family background and an abusive father which made her into a person that never gained any self confidence and flaunts her clothing and jewelry style to cope with her damaged ego and sense of self worth. Sci-Fi: A narcissistic Artificial intelligence made up of various rock-elements and mostly powered by geo-thermal energy. It began emulating human emotion but deemed itself superior and started to loathe it's ability to have human emotions. Programmed to complete tasks through Aristotelian logic, by scientists and programmers wanting to find a solution to fix the current energy crisis, it logically deduced that the best way to conserve energy on earth was to eliminate it's primary consumers; humans. It took awhile to create a bio-weapon that only kills humans but it only took it a couple of months to execute it's plans and all of humanity was wiped out. Then it realized that no humans meant no sentient living beings close enough to compare itself to feel superior. An epiphany rose that it royally fucked up and began to weep human like tears in acrimony. Fantasy: Biffon the baker was a fat but nice man that was secretly rich and powerful. He was once a prince of a kingdom but was extremely vain and loved to show off his lavish lifestyle to other royalty. It was until one day he insulted a witch that she transported him to the other side of the continent of Dalavis. He lost all memory of his past life but some of his traits still linger on like his extreme intelligence and wits when he wins money on Wager community events.
Crystal Flaunt Logic Soft Immediately I thought of D&D, creating a character that's a female Sorceress w/ curves, who's multi-lingual. Her focus would be crystal(s) & she'd have an attitude, flaunting her skills, her curves, her crystal(s). Glass Shear Sound Yellow The 1st thing I thought of was a special chime made of yellow blown-glass cut into pieces & attatched to strings yo make a chime. My more creative example cane after a Prager U. Commercial on Israel: Israel shears off the Palestinian population with the sound of glass shattering. A yellow wall / cliff is ressurected. Oh & lastly Chuckle Cosmopolitan Deception Envy The chuckling cosmopolitan ice cream is swrved by a deceptive, envious person. The server of the chuckling cosmopolitan ice ream decieves customers into believing that the chuckling cosmopolitan ice cream is sentient & that is how it can chuckle; so as to discourage customers, because he's envious of thosewho can afford to buy this special ice cream.
1. This character is a person who works in the soft sciences, they're a psychologist with a very hard line of thinking. They have a pet theory that they can't help but share with anyone in earshot and can't see the evidence disproving it. 2. They are a silicone based lifeform that comes from a culture of vanity. The socially acceptable jobs are all culture work, and they grow soft as a species because they don't think logically. This character is an outsider because they do, and that's why they join a human science vessel like Stat Trec to be with like minded people. 3. A cold and ruthless empress with the power to control gems. She can create and destroy economies with a whim while being decked in the finest silks in lavish rooms. 4. A sentient earing that grants creativity to whoever wears it. They think themselves to be a God as they create poets out of cats and engineers out of rats. They create entire cultures around themselves to be venerated as a diety by all who witness them.
For the first set. Our World: Crystal - A Jewler, working at a store for quite a while, being subject to the pressures (pardon the crystal formation pun) of everyday life and her work. Flaunt - To cope with her lack of passion in her work, she is quite showy, wearing expensive clothes as I imagine she would be well to do working at a Jewlery place. She may even be living paycheck to paycheck due to these rather expensive outings. Logic - Her most prevalent character trait is that she is quite intelligent, having studied for long years at college to become a Geologist. While not completely humorless or sociable, these are not her strong suits Soft - She may be working far below her competency, and this is why, she has never really had the assertive personality to execute her ambitions. This would be the biggest issue she would need to get past, as she is far more knowledgeable about her craft than her manager/supervisor/what have you.
Sci Fi: Crystal: A focusing lens, the basis of most energy cells, as well as many observational devices this character is a gunner on a warship with great laser lances that pass energy through crystals to fire. Flaunt: Not necessarily related to appearance, but skill. He is the best battleship gunner this side of the galaxy. Destroying engines of enemy ships with ease and having the highest count of destroyed/disabled enemy ships in his fleet, if not the entire navy. He has never been subtle or quiet about this fact, much to the chagrin of the other gunnery crewmen. Logic: Rather than showing a capacity for logic, he has always eschewed it in favor of emotion in battle. He will throw all of his attentions into the thick of battle, firing from afar at enemy ships. He may need to develop a further awareness of his immediate surroundings and battle conditions if his ship were to be boarded. Soft: As he is coming on in age, "Soft in the stomach," would be an apt way to describe him. Due to his role as a ship gunner, most physical pursuits are largely irrelevant, and his training regimen has changed to further hone his skill set rather than keeping him as a balanced or healthy person, this is beggining to become an issue as he is planning to retire soon.
I would probably disagree with this, creativity is in fact a function that is useful for babies to learn very quickly at the cost of working memory, as a human grows up they get a bigger working memory but become less creative meaning that they can remember. There are exceptions like me who have a neurological disorder known as dyspraxia which leaves the nervous system of a child meaning that people with this disorder are very forgetful, have horrible hand eye coordination and are incredibly clumsy with the upside of having uncanny creativity.
Funnily I feel I’ve gotten more creative as I’ve got more creative as I’ve got older I was always kind of depressed when I was younger, so I love to make people laugh, and even though I felt like shit when a joke flopped it felt so much better when I actually made someone laugh that I just kept on trying and eventually I got pretty good at it.
Chuckle, cosmopolitan, deception, envy. That just screams evil rich person to me, one that spends his or her time in foreign countries, tourist locations, expensive hotels, Thinking herself superior to the masses and making fun of people all day. However being depressed for not having any friends for one does not make friends with a attitude like hers and spending every night in a different city and every week in a different country doesn't help either.
1. A women has a large array of crystals she got from stealing peoples hands at the congo and loves to flaunt them to her friends. She gets complaints from people who hug her because the crystals on her dress keep poking them. They tell her to try and make a soft crystal that won’t make them get bruises whenever they come in physical contact with her. She is stumpted by the logic of a soft crystal but devotes her life to engineering a crystal that would be as soft as a pillow 2. All crystals from the world have been drained and no raw gems can be found. Jewelry almost triples in price because of how rare it’s components have now become. Anyone who tries and flaunts possesion of these shiny stones shall certainly be robbed the next night, taking all use away from wearing jewelry. There is simply no logic anymore in buying crystals are gems. Humanity then moves on to valuing the second rarest resource, a soft pillow that won’t feel like a rock to your head. 3. This man was known across the realm as the guy with the softest beard in existence, his beard was so soft actually that people claimed they would sell their sons and daughters for a lock of it. The man saw no logic in this for he despised his beard. All scratchy and sweaty but he would not dare cut it for he would be hurting the feelings of everyone. The man did not enjoy flaunting his beard but eventually word from his neighbors had spread all the way to the king of the realm. The king offered him gold and crystals for his beard. The man hastily accepted the offer and ran off rich and rid of his anxiety.
A wealthy man has an obsession with diamonds, emeralds and other such jewels. And he puts them on everything he owns, his skin, his mattress, his walls and his hair. His strange logic makes him believe flaunting his wealth like this will find him someone to love. It is ironic that he longs for something so soft and warm but surrounds himself with the hard and cold. That he wants someone to care about him when all he shows is superficiallity. A boys mother dies of overdose on sleep medication. She was his only parent, his father dying in a recent war. He is lost and alone, and the government shuns him, focusing on the idea that the strong will make it regardless of what the people experience and the week will die out. This makes for the strongest society of course. He tries to get people to seek sympathy for him, telling them his mother died but no one responds believing in the rhetoric of their society. The boy freezes to death on the street, a snow drift blowing over his face as he is lost to time. The chess board made of sugar crunched beneath her feet as she stepped forward a confident smirk across her face. "Queen to f5, check." The angel had an apologetic look upon their face as they said, "Rook to f5" The smirk didnt leave her face until the lesser angel moved close and stabbed her through the heart. She collapses shortly afterwards. The angel knelt down to pray. The fire place cracked as the wood slowly was torn apart by a chemical reaction. She knew all to well the movement was just an illusion created by the light being generated inconsistentently. She knew the heat she was reading was being generated by dead cells being chemically changed to lower energy stated in a process that probably wouldn't be reversed. She knew that the girl next to her wasn't comfortable leaning on her arm. And she knew that the girl didn't love her. She wasn't going to say that though. Everything in the world felt right. Maybe just for this moment, but she wasn't going to blab her mouth and ruin it. She is human for just one moment and nothing is going to take it away from her. Not even when they shut her off.
Fantasy - A woman made of a Red crystal her name is Rubedo shes vastly powerfull and many are envyus of her power however to use her power takes a great toll and weakens her form temporarily thus alowing those who know of this flaw to be able to take advantage and steal her power by smashing her form and using the shards as the sorce for their own power. Sci fi- A scientist lets call him Albert has just created a new power source that will sustain all of mankinds needs he calls it god crystal array he unvails his creation to the world by powering the whole of new york state however the traditional power companys dont like this at all and plan to sabatage this project before it can spread any further so they plan to cause this power plant to malfunction little do they know that doing so would cause a catostrophic meltdown of the plant destroying all of new york and the sourounding states. Im only doing two settings
Glass, Sheer (I thought it was this originally, so I’m using it), Sound, Yellow Starting with sheer, my mind goes to a Sheer cliff face. That’s what our character is doing, scaling a Sheer cliff face. That Sheer cliff face our hero is scaling is made out of Glass. Not just any Glass, but stained Glass. Because our character is in a church or temple for giants. Why is he there? Because he is a thief, trying to steal some macguffin. And as a thief, he must be careful to make no Sound. Who is this thief, stealing from a giant temple? Well, they are Yellow, used in the more antiquated (and I hope not racist) term for coward. Our thief doesn’t want to be here, but perhaps they were caught on a former job in a noble’s mansion, and now must steal from the giants or face execution. There we go. We have a Yellow (coward) thief, making no Sound, stealing from a giant’s church, climbing a Sheer stained Glass window while doing so.
Crystal, Flaunt, Logic, Soft. Starting off, the character is a Crystal. She’s a blueish-white Crystal that grew out of the ground in a cave somewhere. And for some reason, she’s special. Maybe it’s because she’s a Crystal and they’re super rare, or maybe she Crystals are common but she just has some special Crystal magic. Either way, she likes to Flaunt this. And what’s more, she won’t just Flaunt why she’s better than you, she’ll explain every reason why with detailed Logic. Yet, unbeknownst to almost everyone who knows her, she has a Softer side to her, contrasting with the fact that her Flaunting and Logic make her sound like kind of a cunt. Maybe the Flaunting and Logic are a defense or coping mechanism of some sort, or maybe she was like that in the past and is now letting her Softer side out? Either way, I just created a magic anthropomorphic Crystal tsundere who will Flaunt how she’s better than you with facts and Logic all while having a secret soft side
Chuckle, Cosmopolitan, Deception, Envy I feel like I’m going quite basic on this one, but it’s a character archetype I happen to really love. This character is a Cosmopolitan, through and through. They grew up in the city, and they know everything and everyone in it, doing their best to pull the strings of society to their whims. This, of course, naturally involves a lot of Deception. Why are they doing this? Because there is a person. One person our character can’t control. Our mastermind Envies that person and their ability to just do what they want and not give a shit, completely unable to be manipulated. And of course, every character had that one distinct thing about them that signifies “oh, you’re dealing with *him.*” For our character, this is his laugh, or rather, Chuckle. Yes, this is basically Izaya Orihara from Durarara, but shut the fuck up he’s the best part of the show.
1: a soft looking woman (-WITH THIGHS HARD AS CRYSTAL- ignore that joke pls) that quite enjoys flaunting her mental prowess over the men who though early investing in diamonds was a waste of her time. 2: a gelatinous organic computer which houses small crystalline molecules to maximize computing power inside of synapses which many of the developers are quite proud of producing. 3: a flamboyant Spanish dwarf that having moved to a new continent now owns the mines instead of working them. 4: a soft hairy taint hard as diamond that you cannot nor ever will understand because it is knowingly beyond your comprehension and is loving it's place as creator of the universe.
Anyone who wants to go deeper into prompts, here are some which I had to cut from the video:
Concrete, Factory, Head, Soul
Blind, Glass, Keeper, Unholy
Dragon, Luck, Tea, Video
Agony, Fountain, Stealth, Victory
Cotton, Frozen, Insult, Occupation
They are always an excellent creative exercise and fun to play around with, in addition to all the intellectual benefits.
The genie wants to become human so it can gain the ability to be creative and become a musician
There is a blind keeper of all the unholy magic in the land and he leaves in a tower made of glass.

Shear sound yellow glass:
Farmers boy goes on a quest to find a yellow glass trombone, because the sound it makes is the only thing that will lift the curse on his sheep to wake them up.

In my hand is a pen. A pen that will right you a poem about how I love this channel so much...
Why is it sticky?
Many people are too stressed, busy, or tired to be truly creative.
This is not accidental.
For: Act/Milk/Chime/Portrait
Normal world: My character's name is Chime.
For: Crystal/Flaunt/Logic/Soft
Normal: This character loves soft things.

It’s ya boi
Many people think creativity is that talent you don’t need at a real job. That is because their idea of a real job is something like working as cashier or something mundane and wrote like that, or some glorified version of a job which is nevertheless a lot like that.
Kickin shirt, my turbo-cool dude
burgerinaband
I needed way too long to get this
I went to school too you know... It's okay 😔 bad things happened to me there too... you'll get past it eventually. I bearly have nightmares of school these days. It gets better with time, really it does. 😔
14:58 A sentient milk bottle is on the run for his crime of not making sense
My teachers were good for allowing creativity to prosper, especially my high-school English teacher, I got low sixties up til her because until I got to her class all English class was is memorization and repetition
for me, music is an immense source of creativity, sicne the emotions or even story is there in some abstract way from step 0, and every step after that is making it fit into what already exists in the lore of whatever world I'm working with. that and co-opting traits of creatures that aren't typically explored, like using how diverse and immensely cultural birds are to develop an avian society
now you're thinking creatively
I could have never been creative enough to make a 27 minute video about how to be creative. Good Damn Job. I like the school stuff by the way.
Just rewatching that video, noticing you hit the magical 25 k subscriber mark. Congratulations, even if there is nothing special about it, since it is just a number. Well, a big number but still just a number, which is special, only in the decimal system. Which leads to the question: Why do we celebrate such numbers?
Lol at the changing play button between the jump cuts
This is similar to something I've heard of before, specifically for guitar - I forgot the deepest lore behind the premise, but it was using a random number generator, or finding a collection of numbers (like a subscriber count) and transposing (probably not the right word) the random numbers as the frets on a guitar. You'd then play that fret the number correlates to on any string I'm bad at explaining things, so here's an example I guess.
230958 = Play 2nd fret (any string), play 3rd fret (any string again, will be same for each fret), play open string, play 9th fret and so on.
Wow, this is a long one. Going to have to watch it in 2 parts.
The burger method TM
I really liked this exercise!
Funny how you say school kills creativity. I did this is my GCSE English class. Creative writing classes were a regular thing for me for 4 years.
You should make a video on the basics of worldbuilding
I know this is irrelevant but you sir have a very pretty name.
It would probably be TheBergerkrieg, but it would be deemed too offencive and therefore filtered out by the algorithm. Second best option I guess...
@@nova_supreme8390 no I meant his real name. As in the one plastered all over his narration channel. It has very interesting spelling.
can you just spell it or link?
The link to his narration channel should be in the description of this video. If you can't find it for some reason then here it is: ua-cam.com/channels/iGkNlYiCZARgG3IkTPbrcA.html
I recommend the dieselpunk story "the flying bus". If you are interested in his name it is located below the title of every video on that channel.
I also agree as a child one focuses on microcosms and doesn't feel the need to obfuscate the world over with a filter that blocks as much if reality into known signifier signified relations
School did not take away my creativity. But depression did.
Depression + School = Creative Murder
I'm going through the same thing right now. Doing art, even when I dont feel like it, has been a really important first step towards recovery. I know it sucks to do anything, but try to do a tiny bit of whatever kind of work it is you do. Even brainstorming ideas of what to do. Even for just a few minutes. Getting the gears in your brain moving again is really important.
Try this:
ua-cam.com/video/qxLLSUw5pJc/v-deo.html
I don’t know if your depression is genetic or based off of personal issues in school, but not being true to yourself; the way you want to be, can cause that.
I don’t have ANY friends in school but I am optimistic and have interests.
school caused my depression which took away my creativity. but I'm on the way up B)
Cow acts like a human so it can show off its paintings
I swear, i tried these words and for some reason my mind went straight to the tv show "White Collar"
Crystal/Flaunt/Logic/Soft prompt:
Normal: A guy loaned his inherited crystal figurine collection to a museum exhibit but it all got stolen when the museum was robbed.
I write, I poet, I world build, I used to have tramatic nighmares about school.
"Milk Djinn" is the best thing I've heard all month.
Act Chime Milk Portrait
My mind went to a farm or a portrait of a farm. Farmers do acts every day & dairy farmers deal in milk. Also, I'm used to farms having chimes around the house.
School does kill creativity, but the part that comes next is even worse, in the hell that is called conformity quest.
So, i'm gonna start in the order I want :P
I didn't edit it so these are my first takes:
Crystal, Flaunt, logic, Soft
Fantasy:
The character lives in a city made out of crystal.
Reality:
Some kind of tradesman, trading with crystals and other precious stones like diamonds but also with gold and silver.
Sci-fi:
An alien which crashed on Earth with it's ship made out of crystal. The humans then try to befriend them to get the interstellar-travel technology of the spaceship.
everything is allowed:
a magical being only capable of cold, hard decision making which uses attention of humans as a food. (a bit too clichée but whatever)
thank you for reading
From someone who's in their own opinion heavily creative, the creativity becomes crippling when not working on them..
This is the way I feel about AP literature
Well, I guess I am stealing the milk genie for my Dnd campaign
I just smoke so "legal" "tobacco" *nudge nudge wink wink*
24:18 James Charles?
Our world:
Crystal: he deals with a lot of gems, might be a jeweler or maybe he smuggles diamonds from africa to other parts of the world, which needs logic to do, and when he is done he flaunts his wealth but he has soft spot for orphans and constintly takes them in and gives them jobs to help him expand his gem empire.
Science fiction:
Here we have a scientist for a mining corperation that uses logic to try and move his way up the ladder to head of R&D but finds that he is too soft to betray his friends who tend to actually betray him, and then flaunt their wealth at him.
Fantasy:
This character is a crystal dragon that loves to be fancy, and isnt actually very logical in how he does things because things most people would throw away he sees as treasure and collects them, showing it off to any adventurer who enters his lair, however he has a fragile(or soft if you would prefer)place on his tail that if it is hit would cause it to fall right off making him hide his tail alot.
Weird character:
This one is a bit difficult for me to make but it is a living crystal that activly tries to get itself broken, because that is how it reproduces, so its evolved itself to be extreamly fragile but look really cool so it shows itself off by glowing and if people try to leave it alone it uses logic to insult them and makr it seem like smashing it would kill it, thus achieveing its goal of trying to cover the galaxy in itself.
Could you do a video explaining the paradox of tolerance? I've read the Wikipedia article on it but I don't think I could really grasp it to its fullest extent without someone explaining it.
A character from a modern setting:
crystal, crystal clear, this is a very up front person, they don't lie or hide their feelings.
Sci-fi:
Crystal starts with cry.
Fantasy:
Crystal, maybe a crystal ball?
Glass, shear, sound, yellow
A sheep, and white as snow, who plays soccer as therapy for his blindness. He became blind at the age of 24 due to him being held against his will to look at the sun. He must now play soccer in order to learn how to echo-locate objects as a way of seeing, because sheep cannot hold things o help them walk, such as a cane.
Who dresses this man? There needs to be an intervention here.
It's... a pretty good video, Burger...
Crystal, Flaunt, Logic, Soft
Normal character: Late 1700's Bohemian glassblower.
The auto-captions apparently chose "Krystal" over "crystal" for some reason...
Don't worry my dude I sleep through school, won't let that brainwash affect me (finger guns and cries a little when he thinks about all his missed opportunities)
School where daydreaming the birthplace of ideas is punished.
Excellent video.
Creative response, I know.
Graviton window best window.
Crystal, Flaunt, Logic and Soft.
Realistic Character:
A girl that has reflective blue eyes.
Sci-Fi Character:
A human corpse that has it's arm replaced with a electric diamond saw.
Fantasy Character:
A peasant that presents himself as a noble.
Is it possible to learn this power?
Wouldn't a milk genie be strongly influenced by cowbells?
In terms of a fantasy RPG character I'm getting the idea of a magic user that uses crystals in some way in her attacks or spells or whatever. They're a very promiscuous character who flaunts her looks around, perhaps she used to be a sex worker or prostitute and knows how to deal with people, especially creeps that she used to encounter in her prior profession.
10:28 So this video is not for me... As I am not the second person mentioned. 😅
And I try to imitate this gibberish during the creative process.
crystal, flaunt, logic, soft
balls to the walls:
an ancient evil spirit who uses sand to build his body, decides to regain Finland and lead to WWIII to be the most important being in the world for a moment, before which the gods bend the knee, and after the war he gives birth to two children.
it's not the most creative thing I've created, but I'm just at the lesson, I'm hungry, I'm dying of lack of air conditioning and I need to take a shit so I will not come up with anything better at the call.
Where do the prompts come from? You have a program or app for that or do you scavenge dictionaries?
How come people can't come up with ideas, immidately pictured yellow glass shears used as a weapon that cuts only hair, with sound blast, and unlimited distance of cutting with sound, but that means that if you stand far enough from cutting object you will obliterate yourself
So I was homeschooled. I've got tons of creativity and no social skills. Personally I think it's a good trade
Most school work is fill in the blank not solve the problem
What's your favorite idea?
Mine's being creative.

Crystal Flaunt Logic soft
Normal character: A highly mathematical person who was dubbed a genius by everyone around him from an early age, he uses his logical mind to solve problems and show off to the people around him especially women which he has a soft spot for.
Glass shear sound yellow
A minecraft villager who sold yellow dye to people who made colored glass and sheep to shear however he had to move away beacuse the sound of baaing and glass breaking was annoying now he wanders the woods with nothing and it turns out this is the back story of Steve
A sentient yellow robot who shears glass in a factory and makes a lot of sound.
Welp here I go
Crystal, Flaunt, Logic, Soft
Normal Character: A girl with a kink for semi-expensive jewelry but easily falls for any nice guys since she has low self respect for herself.
He lost all memory of his past life but some of his traits still linger on like his extreme intelligence and wits when he wins money on Wager community events.
im only 12 but i can feel my creativity slipping away from me.
Crystal Flaunt Logic Soft
Immediately I thought of D&D, creating a character that's a female Sorceress w/ curves, who's multi-lingual. Her focus would be crystal(s) & she'd have an attitude, flaunting her skills, her curves, her crystal(s).
Glass Shear Sound Yellow
The 1st thing I thought of was a special chime made of yellow blown-glass cut into pieces & attatched to strings yo make a chime.
My more creative example cane after a Prager U. Commercial on Israel: Israel shears off the Palestinian population with the sound of glass shattering. A yellow wall / cliff is ressurected.
Oh & lastly
Chuckle Cosmopolitan Deception Envy
The chuckling cosmopolitan ice cream is swrved by a deceptive, envious person. The server of the chuckling cosmopolitan ice ream decieves customers into believing that the chuckling cosmopolitan ice cream is sentient & that is how it can chuckle; so as to discourage customers, because he's envious of thosewho can afford to buy this special ice cream.
I am too distracted by the monster mouth on your shirt.
Dont music
For the first set.
Our World:
Crystal - A Jewler, working at a store for quite a while, being subject to the pressures (pardon the crystal formation pun) of everyday life and her work.
While not completely humorless or sociable, these are not her strong suits
Soft - She may be working far below her competency, and this is why, she has never really had the assertive personality to execute her ambitions. This would be the biggest issue she would need to get past, as she is far more knowledgeable about her craft than her manager/supervisor/what have you.
Sci Fi:
Crystal: A focusing lens, the basis of most energy cells, as well as many observational devices this character is a gunner on a warship with great laser lances that pass energy through crystals to fire.
Funnily I feel I’ve gotten more creative as I’ve got more creative as I’ve got older
I was always kind of depressed when I was younger, so I love to make people laugh, and even though I felt like shit when a joke flopped it felt so much better when I actually made someone laugh that I just kept on trying and eventually I got pretty good at it.
Thats not really creative... that practice
Practise at...
She is stumpted by the logic of a soft crystal but devotes her life to engineering a crystal that would be as soft as a pillow
You already are
A wealthy man has an obsession with diamonds, emeralds and other such jewels.
Glass, Sheer (I thought it was this originally, so I’m using it), Sound, Yellow
Starting with sheer, my mind goes to a Sheer cliff face.
Chuckle, Cosmopolitan, Deception, Envy
I feel like I’m going quite basic on this one, but it’s a character archetype I happen to really love.
Or you just get a kid to do it for you. Say like Axe Cop.
What in the fuck was the second half of this video?
