If you're nearsighted or farsighted and want a bit more realism, adjust the shape of the eye.
Nearsighted: longer shape
Farsighted: shorter shape

I love how she knew the water was exactly 62 degrees just by dipping her finger into it. 😂😂😂 brilliant tutorial though, I used a small Christmas bauble instead and spray painted it gloss white.

Most of the time they are hollow is they aren't, it isn't a ping pong ball.
emerson rice no you can't Polly morph is plastic that turns really hard and a ping pong ball is super light Polly morph isn't
Mermaid Lydia Ping pong balls are almost always hollow.

At this point, should the eye be waterproof? For a scene I have planned for an upcoming movie I'm working on, it involves jars of medical oddities--like collected teeth and eyes, and I know the eyes would be suspended in some kind of solution.
Yes, as it is covered in nailpolish it is waterproof :)

Instead of nail polish you could have used gum spree
If you have a small egg cup and gelatine, you can do this, then build the other side up with liquid latex and set again in the mood.

Instead of clear nail polish can you use mod podge?
Does she have third degree burns on her finger? Because that's what would supposedly happen if you were to put your finger in water heated to 143 degrees (Fahrenheit).
