    Wow, seeing those rare tractors like the Northrop 5006 and the Fordson Major conversion is such a treat! The attention to detail in the restorations is incredible. It’s inspiring to see how much effort enthusiasts put into preserving these gems. Can't wait for the next video!

    Loved this vlog you have made a great effort. Having sold farm machinery all my life firstly for Cripps at Nottingham IHC dealers east. 1891. This brought back memories. We’ve come along way in technology but thoroughly enjoyed seeing vintage and classic models - thank you.

    Wow, I haven't seen so many Masseys in one place since I left the Banner Lane factory in Coventry in the late 1980s. Great video - thanks.

    Thanks again Casterton, I couldnt make it, luckily you did, and you brought it to many who missed out, and all I want for xmas is a couple or 3 acres of land and a massey 135 to play with, how you fixed , no need to put a bow on it,😀😜

    Another great video thanks. Loads of interesting and rare tractors there. You have even filmed a 135 built into a sugar beet harvester like ours would have been many years ago

    I worked for an agricultural contractor in the late 60's through the 1970's, we hada second hand Northrop 5004T in about 1970-1971, it had tremendous grip, the turbo whistled very loudly when accelerating , ours had a Fritzmier cab and was good fun to drive for the short time we had it.

    Great video 👍 and while I appreciate the skills dedication and time involved in these total restorations, I'm afraid a well used original still working tractor with it showing its years of hard work gets my vote every time 👌

    My son is wiring a Farmall 100 for a fella. 100’s are kinda rare.
    Thanks and have a great week. 👍🏻👍🏻

    There is some thing not right about a Too shiny tractor and shiny tyres ,better a worn but working tractor than all these shiny things,wast of tractors purpose.

      The paint work on tractors,cars and trucks was pretty crap from factory, after spending a lot of hours and a lot of money restoring them,a decent paint job is a belt and braces approach to keeping them looking fresh

    • @Casterton-Vintage
      @Casterton-Vintage  Місяць тому

      I think it's important to appreciate oily rag as well as shiny paint. I fully understand where you are coming from but if it's rough when you start it's difficult not to over restore. It's an art that we can appreciate.

    If my memory serves me right, then I would say a Northrop 5004T was a 4 cylinder turbo engined model, and the 5006 was a straight 6-cylinder engine model. I have some old Northrop sales literature somewhere, so I can double-check those facts.

    • @Casterton-Vintage
      @Casterton-Vintage  Місяць тому

      I would think you are correct but the internet didn't have confirmation when I tried to find it.

      @DonaldFraser-c9v Місяць тому

      @Casterton-Vintage I saw a video of a Northrop 5006 at an indoor show featured on the Incredible Ford Tractors UA-cam page the other day and it clearly showed 6 individual fuel pipes coming out of the fuel injection pump confirming it to be a 6 cylinder engine tractor.
