It's too bad that only a tiny percentage of people will get the reference to the movie. Apparently both Brando and Schneider were traumatized by filming the scene, more so for her of course because Bertolucci didn't give her any pre-warning on it.
@@dlxmarks well that's because he was a dick. I mean it's a way to add surprise shock and a genuine reaction to the shot but all in all it was still a dick move. That definitely should have been a harassment suite. Which I think it was but it's been for ever since I looked it up.

Sky Pilot crashed intentionally. He had to shut Hunter up before he gave the game away too soon.
I love how this reveal reframes 'The Lepidopterists'. They were the Guild punishing the Monarch for killing too many of his protagonists (something DMTM mentioned!) while making it look like the OSI had manipulated JJ into killing him. A great plan. And it explained why DMTM was able to get arching rights so easily. AND why the Guild left him alone afterwards. He's too much trouble and he's already back to the guy he hates but doesn't kill.
Maybe the Missus shouldn't have kept telling the man to "pretend they were Dr Venture". Given the Wide Whale situation later, she unintentionally signed her husband's death warrant (and that's regardless of the fish cells regenerating Dr. Dougong's head back)

That is because someone who was noble in a normal way would have just reassured Treister that he can still have a respectable dignified death, even if its from prostate cancer. Or made the other agents promise to never discuss it unless Treister brings it up. Coming up with elaborate deceptions for the sake of your dying superior is weird. But its also noble in a Bushido way, because it shows loyalty and concern for the honor of your superior and the organization. Hence, weirdly noble.

Looking back was it really smart to tell them their little plan was also a power grab against treister? I’m hazzy if it was also a part of a plan to mess with Sphinx, but still they’re the best former / returned OSI agents so was letting in it their best move?
Hunter would have been content letting them trick Treister into thinking he was a hulk rather then dying of cancer.

1. Because the audience wouldn't know otherwise.
2. They want Hunter to die knowing what will become of his organization, and that there was nothing he could do about it. Its their way of taunting him.

Kinda don't like this tbh, the idea is great, but they screwed up the execution at the end. They give the agents a seemingly smart plot, and they win Colonel Transvestite (CT) over, them reveal it for no reason? They should have done a more convincing reveal with either an accidental reveal, or a reason for them to think CT was on their side.
