Canon EOS 10D - Is This 6MP DSLR from 2003 Good Enough for 2023?

- Time to try out the an early Canon DSLR, the Canon EOS 10D from 2003! The 10D features a 6.3 mp CMOS sensor and is quite well equipped when it comes to features. The strange thing about the camera is that it can't mount EF-S lenses even though it uses an APS-C sized sensor. This is simply because it was released before this mount was available and the camera also has an APS-H sized mirror.

I went from shooting weddings with film to the 10D as my first digital camera. When it came out, it was amazing to be able to actually see an image on the back instead of waiting a week for the proofs to come back. I still have that camera and still take it out occasionally.....some of my best images came from that camera.

For my opinion the most important benefit is, that power-management is such economical you are able taking hundreds of pictures using a little "bad" batteries other cameras (such as EOS 5D classic) will quit very soon. I've done about 300 pictures using 2 of them in battery-grip without any problems.
Still using that over 20 years old tank for private use on good weather-conditions up to ISO 800.

Hi! The easiest way to get the photos of the camera is a USB card reader which supports compact flash.
