David Robinson was the bridge of culture for the Spurs. Tim carried himself the same way, team was coached from the top down.
I love the way David Robinson handled Tim Duncan taking his spot
I feel bad for Eddie Jones. He had to do it twice. (Bryant and Wade)
He didn't feel bad at alla (at least, that what he and the other players say). He was in the low profile part of a person and acted as a mentor for both superstars. Eddie was a classy, hustle, quiality professional with lots of sportsmanshim in him.
I literally just rolled up too. God bless you Crosgrove
perfect timing🤣
I don’t got tree rn but I’m taking a blinker right as this dropped
Stop smoking. It’s not good for you all it does is kill brain cells and make you less productive. It may not seem like it’s doing anything to your health but trust me in the long run you’ll start to feel the damages of smoking. I suggest you to stop while you still have a chance to stop.
Literally rolling up 😂💯
Mood
Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry is another good example
He has covered that in another video so he did not include it here.
He literally mentioned that video in the beginning of the video
Paul George Danny Granger
@@Masedogg10k Yep Danny Granger if you asked a Pacer's fan would probably be considered a legend
@@SnuggieMaple pg said nope plus Danny stayed hurt
Thanks to Duncan, the Admiral won a championship with him 😎😎😎
Won 2 chips.
Reverse it thanks to David that Tim won
I’m glad someone mentions Eddie Jones. He was Kobe Bryant in the Lakers before Kobe Bryant.
If Parker never got hurt, I feel like him and giannis could have coexisted.
Maybe giannis doesn’t become the absolute monster we see today, but they both could have been all star caliber teammates through the 2010s
Parker would’ve been what Middleton was to Giannis.
Eddie jones was dunking menace ask Shawn Bradley
Bro was definitely cold
just got on my 15 min break. Cosgrove made it 10x better 🙏🏽🙏🏽😭
Cosgrove dropping another banger
Jabari and Giannis pretty much blossomed in the same year! even after Jabari's first acl tear he was a monster! neither of them took a back seat until Jabri got injured for the second time!
Jabari left a lot to be desired defensively that’s why I always thought that wiggins was better he was averagin 24ppg before butler came to the team
And with that being said, I still wished the Bucks had got a chance to get Andrew Wiggins instead. I feel like that would have been the best option for both the Cavs and the Bucks
@@stharre80 wiggins could’ve helped the bucks win multiple playoff series in the past. I agree even today it would be in the bucks best interest to get an athletic wing that plays great defence
As a Lakers fan, I thought trading Jones was a disaster idea.
I was gladly proven wrong.
They still would of won 3 with Jones and could of won in 2004 because Eddie wouldn't of ballhogged like Kobe did vs Detroit
@@arizonaFIREentthey should have won five at the very minimum as it was.
I knew it was the correct call. What I remember about Kobe in his first 3 years was that he was unique, highly determined, serious for a teenager when he played during the games, hungry, a lot to prove to other people and growing in self confidence even during clutch times when things were not going right. An 18 year old taking 4 shot attempts in Game 5 AT Utah in elimination game at the end of the 4th quarter AND overtime for the Lakers is unheard of to this day. What a confidence and resilience against all odds. Those 3 airballs= 5 NBA rings who didn't win Rookie of the year, never first team all rookie team and drafted #13 pick.
@@arizonaFIREent2004 Lakers team had problems for example, Payton not fitting well for the team, Malones knee injury, Kobes Sex assault case and Kobes and Shaq deteriotating relationship.
At the time, Jones was fully developed and we didn’t see much of Kobe.
But after the trade, wow, Kobe just took off.
Thank you cosgrove🙏 needed this video
Kobe grew his afro because he looked too much like eddie jones.
Every time I see them together, I think they brothers even before the video started, I looked at them beside each other like Kobe look like EJ so much.
We really appreciate you not forcing out videos every day and actually taking time to give us great content ❤️
Cosgrove is a LEGEND your content always gives me goosebumps especially watching your vides at night 😂. Keep it up!!!
I'm no longer bored bro thanks Cosgrove
Duncan may be the better player coz he is younger but props to Robinson for being humble and gave Duncan the spotlight👍🏼👍🏼
What Kareem did to Magic.
Looking more forward to this video then all of all star weekend.
This video alone was better than all of the allstar weekend LOL
Kobe's career average would be 27 instead of 25 if he just had the freedom from the start that other upcoming stars had.
Good content. I am a first time viewer and i admit i truly enjoyed your content .
If i had to add : a “downfall” version for players like OJ Mayo stuck with conley rudy gasol and ai etc or mike Beasley mia, min and NYK days
Kobe had grown groupies at 15. Glad he was smart
Giannis dressed up like an IRS agent for the draft
Nobody passed the torch with more grace and professionalism than David Robinson
Giannis’s work ethic is unmatched. Jabari stood no chance even without the unfortunate injuries.
Jabari no injuries would be a huge upgrade over Middleton.
Facts @@MertoTrusts_Me
Bucks don’t win a chip without Middleton
I meant in terms of being the #1 guys. And I think he’s comparable to Middleton. Just a little more athletic and not a better shooter
@@yougotbaited2943 definitely a better shooter and overall player than Middleton. Jabari was a beast when healthy could easily get you 20 plus a night.
Thanks for uploading goat
You got sum good Ass Vidz i Be anticipated for them
Jerry West seen greatness in Kobe just like the NFL with Billichick and Brady when Bill decided to keep Brady as the starting qb over Bledsoe
Good topic and good video bro, just subbed
Love your videos 💪🏾
finally!!! you are the best !!! i was just playing 2k
the 🐐 uploaded just in time for lunch!
When Cosgrove post, it’s always special so thank you 🙏
finally new drop video my man!
Bro me and my best friends always talk about your lastest uploads love from Shanghai
I swear cosgrove always puts a smile on my face every time when he uploads a video all the love my brother ❤
He puts a smile on our face and fear down our spine all at once 😂
Love these videos...just crazy how life works, one day u could be on top, the next day your not....just keep your head up and keep grinding, God's Plan is real
David Robinson look like Grace Jones and Keenan Ivory Wayans IMO
😂😂😂
@geraldking9385 Jamie Foxx too when he played Lawanda on IN LIVING COLOR
🤣🤣
Yes Giannis was not originally supposed to be the face of the Bucks it was supposed to be Jabari Parker
Yah but injuries and lack off defense ruined hid career
Giannis looks like Tristan Thompson to me
@@dyemond84corny just like ur face 😂
Eddie Jones got robbed of a ring TWICE
I love Cosgroves videos and the content he comes up with 🎉
This video was awesome and a great story for Kobe, Giannis, Duncan and Robinson
“Eddie Jones is my homie but Lebron wouldn’t have backed up Eddie Jones in the 10th grade.” -Gillie
talent and creativity wise, it wasn't even close between jones and kobe. Eddie tends to settle for more 3 point shots but he wasn't efficient with it. Giannis was the only guy that tweeted to kobe for advice like what he should be working on or what his goal should be for the year. Kobe: MVP, Giannis gets MVP. Giannis asked what's next, Kobe: nba champ, Giannis .... 2021. He was the ONLY guy completed all the task kobe gave to him.
Jones was much more efficient with a much much better shot selection at ANY point of their careers.
@@keithjoseph128Haha you’re funny !!!!
Kobe was a better scorer and defender than any guard not name Jordan
David Robinson is the perfect example of setting your pride aside for the greater good.
Your really out here making top 4 nba content on UA-cam rn that’s a huge feat
underated channel
Danny Granger and Paul George are another example that fits the description in this video
Excellent
5 secs into the vid and ik lebron and jordan not in it😂 goats
Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, James Worthy, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Derek Fisher, George Milan, Shaquille O'Neal, Norm Nixon, Michael Cooper, Byron Scott are my favorite Lakers players. George Mikan.
Cosgrove with the Hot Banger Again 🚨⚡️🔥💯
Damn Jones face in that Hornets Jersey. Dude really hurting.
Eddie Jones was my favorite Laker in the 95-96 season when Magic came back for a short stint, I still wonder what could of been if Phil had come a year earlier to coach Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones, and Elden Campbell, for sure we would've beaten the Spurs every year.
Great point
Subscribed. Please make more like this.. it tickles my brain
admiral really a great guy
From the bay and Monte Ellis was my guy before we got steph he had back to back 22ppg seasons but the writing was on the wallet a great warrior in his own right
We were seeing the same thing with Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson, but Poole got traded. Now, we're definitely seeing it with Brandin Podziemski, with Klay now coming off the bench.
Eddie Jones was one of my favorites… and had a great shoe game!
I remember Eddie Jones and he was a real baller….but Kobe was GENERATIONAL talent. Jones just caught the stray
Just imagine if the Bucks drafted Embiid at #2 over Parker 😭
Twin Towers of Milwaukee
Eddie Jones was a baller.
I think u should add Jokic vs Nurkic in Denver too.
Salud to the Admiral, what a gentleman👔
Fun Fact: Eddie Jones was with the Lakers a year before their 2000 championship, and with the Heat a year before their 2006 championship and got signed back to the Heat a year afterwards in 2007. Talk about tough luck or possibly being a hindrance to a championship team.
He was also replaced by Dwysne Wade on the Heat.
Although they played different positions, Iverson asserted his dominance as a rookie. Jerry stack house was good but left a year later.
I wish Eddie would had more success in his career. I think it wouldve been better if he was able to join Miami earlier. With Tim Hardaway, Alonzo Mourning, & i think Jamal Mashburn was on there too. Those 4 players wouldve gotten to Finals.
Young Kobe and Young Eddie kinda looked alike
Fr, I almost thought that he was gonna say Kobe to a backseat to some random lol but it wasn’t Kobe, but Eddie
(Not implying the random was Eddie btw
eddie jones is legit
layup from the 3point line, almost lol
I didnt know jerry west was the gm for that signing, the more ya know.
Kobe and Eddie on different levels, great player though. Jabari could have been great without injuries and having an offense run through him. Game like Melo.
Eddie was the Prototype Kobe b4 Kobe.
I was like Cosgrove ain’t drop yet waiting on it like Summer time lmao 😅
Eddie Jones had it happen to him twice. And both guards who replaced him won chips with Shaq.
Any suggestions?? Looking for entertaining Sports clips like this.. folks telling stories?? I be watching all types of stuff. Like beefs.. lmao.
Granger and jabari got hurt .. and they played well w pg and Giannis , and they played well relative to their experience at the time when the duos did play together.
Danny Granger and PG
Class act from David Robinson. I expected nothing less from the admiral 🏀 🫡
David Robinson is an NBA legend in he taught Tim Duncan to be a NBA legend that is greatness within it self
I just drank my daily protein shake and see Cosgrove posted
Cosgrove banger again
Im from Milwaukee and I really thought Jabari Parker was our guy Giannis was very unknown so I didn't know what to expect but Parker was 2nd overall in the 2014 draft I wish he had no injuries because before his second ACL tear him and Giannis was both averaging 20 points they was touching the league before the All Star break
David Robinson made an epic choice! ✨🏆🏆✨👈😏👍
I'd love to write for this channel fr.
Eddie Jones got done dirty 2 years after he was drafted they drafted Kobe
I could tell about Kobe from the get go. I knew about Timmy coming from Wake Forest. Eddie Jones was also a great 2 guard. This is all true.
Perfect Title.
Like Tom Brady was in College and Pro, he was just a backup at first. Until he came in.
I think the Lakers with Jones and PRIME Shaq could have win ONE maximum two somehow, but I still didnt get why not to play them both, Jones was a better spot up shooter than kobe, and better defender than Rice who they got for him...I really liked Campbell as a Center/Power forward if they ran into the spurs... never mind sometimes I still think of a what if on that time.
5:02: Bro young Giannis is crazy! 🤓
I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLY!! I'd like to thank my mom and my brother for this amazing opportunity😭
I really think the Lakers made mistakes how they used their assests after 98 Western conf, finals sweep...Campbell and Jones for Rice and Reid... Jones would have been great even as a 3rd option, they wasted Van Excel after an all-star season for Battie who they traded for Knight... worked out for them but damn not a single future pick nothing.
They failed with both.
David Roberson was I vet OG by the time Tim came it the league
David embraced TD by letting him LIVE with him for the summer before Tim's rookie season. Dave knew it was time so id replace this situation with Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce.
That spurs team was a monster
Cornbread and Bird is a good example.
I don't think anyone saw Eddie Jones as a potential "all time great laker". He was good. I remember when he made the all-star team and it was a bit of a surprise because he wasn't THAT good. (He did make 3 total as I recall, but he was on par with Jim Jackson or Steve Smith maybe even Allan Houston.)
David Robinson is a classy guy.
Kobe may have been more athletic, but Eddie continue to start at the two guard until he was traded. The season Eddie was traded Kobe started at small forward. Even after all of the championships with Kobe as shooting guard I wish the Lakers would’ve kept Eddie and let Kobe continue to play the 3.
