- Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra won their first T&T National Steelband Panorama in 1973 with this Rudy Wells arrangement of Lord Kitchener's hit "Rain-o-rama"
So nice to see somone remember""bucker nose" aka,rudulf wells,may god have mercy on his soul.

Oh, how well i remember this one. I struggled for years with this and the Despers version to determine which one was better. I think both were great in their own right. Nicely arranged.Thanks G.
This was my father's band; therefore, I know he'll hellyard since 1962.
This tune make me start to jump arong and fall dong on de grong.

Mr. Glenroy Joseph how are you Sir? You have lived through the era when steelpan was sweet. Bands like Solo Harmonites, Guiness Cavaliers in the 1960s', Hatters - who won the competition in 1975 with Lord Kitchener's "Tribute To Spree Simon". Have you seen any of the bands perform (not 🚫 just on TV- ttt but in person)? I could only imagine stick fighters, badjohns and what not in the band.... You probably even seen Cory- the Iron man from South who Lord Shorty sang about in Cory Iron (1976).

There is a video clip from Carnival 1973 you will see it on You Tube. Sparrow singing "Happy School Days". It's about Carnival in those days. It is from a documentary. I wish somebody would upload the entire thing.
