    I seriously can't think of a time when SNL made fun of Obama or attacked him. Armison always played him as a guy who is above everyone else. He was also somewhat boring. Yet no policy or gaff Obama did made it to SNL.

      Van Pastor. But Amison did a good Obama. Here is the one and only vid where they make fun of Obama as prez.
      ua-cam.com/video/p5hUFIpB9v8/v-deo.html&pbjreload=10
      And Keenan had a series about how racist black voters were, and Obama would never lose their vote. Kind of funny.
      ua-cam.com/video/0fJdboepI40/v-deo.html
      Tosh.0 Has the best Obama sketch though.

      obviously everyone on that show is extremely liberal. it's not balanced at all with their treatment of the presidents. i pretty much skip all the political sketches and weekend update. at least, i like alec's portrayal of trump. snl relies on their political sketches to attract the liberal audience because their non-political sketches aren't funny as of late.

    • @RD-vt9uu
      @RD-vt9uu 6 років тому +6

      It literally took me five seconds to find a sketch slamming Obama. Five seconds. This one makes fun of his threat to use an executive order to grant citizenship to undocumented immigrants.
      ua-cam.com/video/JUDSeb2zHQ0/v-deo.html
      The reason they slam Trump and Bush more than Obama is simple. Trump and Bush make it so easy.

    Feel like if Jon would bring back his old SNL character "Annoying Man" into a movie role that could be comedy gold that'd rival the Vacation movies. Am I the only person that misses that character!? Potentially as funny as High School High and funnier! C'mon Jon pitch it around to Lorne or Happy Madison or some production company of similar caliber! "... and now, for my next trick, I will scrape this fork; on a chalkboard... " Thank you Larry for the interesting interviews

      I liked Jon in quite a few things on SNL but the one I remember the best was just a short part in one of the 'Lothar of the Hill people' skits where they were sitting around talking about 'walking with women' (a metaphor for sex) and he said "Lately I have been taking many short walks, by myself." I thought that was hilarious.

  • @erroneus00

    It's not "hilarious" when the core of it is absolute hate. We've seen that kind of humor many decades ago with jokes about black people. We knew it was wrong but people did it anyway because of the shared hate. It wasn't about talent. It was about social acceptance. Trump is the most important response to political correctness as a form of social control. We're NOT going to go along with this any longer. We win. You lose!
    Lovitz spoke in answer to "what do you think we should be paying more attention to?" "Your live and trying to make something of yourself instead of being a victim and blaming everyone else." That, right there, shows he's not at all aware of the current level of political correctness out there. With that statement, he has guaranteed he will be unwelcome in so many venues out there... you know, providing the wrong people are watching this. Identity politics today absolutely DEPEND on victim mentality and the worst offenses are claimed "on behalf of others" they believe 'should be offended.'
    And then he destroys himself with that "you can't be a critic because you don't know..." That's complete and utter BS. You could make the same argument about food. It's wrong for food and wrong for movies. Disney has destroyed so much with their political correctness and identity politics agenda. He's afraid to soeak the truth even if he did F-up with his statement about identity politics and victim mentality.

    SNL skits have always made fun of whoever is in office. Any dissenting views from the likes of Victoria Jackson (cra-cra), Dennis Miller (recluse), Rob Schneider (hasbeen), Piscopo (likewise), plus other repub SNL alums now deceased from 'over-medicating' (Belushi, Farley) are just so much sour grapes and just plain wrong.
