You should place fan coral on the entrance of your base so it is more covered and it blends in.

Instead of using slabs to crouch (as they don't keep your nametag hidden) Use the toggle crouch feature of 1.16. This should allow you to keep crouching as you craft.
Ryan putting slabs above you head makes you CROUCH but doesn’t hide your name tag, please like this comment so he knows for next time.
Yeah that got dream found in manhunt, but having chests for walls and ceilings will hide your name

Don't use slabs. They make you crouch, but your name still shows.
This comment needs to get to the top. Would be bad for him to find out the bad way.
Two future additional ideas: The Admins can include a Beacon (with one or two potions of invis) inside the supply drop at the beginning of episode 3 if someone's beacon was destroyed during episode 2. That 'one life' player or team can make a new base. This might prevent some from knocking out another player early or create new alliances when another team is nice to give another player/team a second chance.
Second idea: Make a map that has spawn over a village with a brewer stand which can't be destroyed. Players can return to spawn to brew potions and the ingredients will be in the supply drops. Add only one blaze rod to each supply drop and players can make their own potions. Some might opt to help with pvp with strength pots, where others might want to make an invis to stalk another player. Choose wisely. :D
u guys should do a season with some mods. such as mods that add more armor sets, vein miner, and other things like that.

Suggestion is make a base in a cave or someplace with a roof. Make it to where the entrence is on the roof. You need to mine a block to where a water pool comes down so you can get in and out of your base. Just to minimize the size of your base along with an easy way to block it up.

Next time you do this, I have 2 places you can put your beacon if allowed. First one is toxic. Build a nether portal, go to the nether. Place beacon in. Then leave and break all obsidian blocks. For this, you need achievements off. The second is build up to max height, place beacon, then break all blocks down. This would work easier if you did it in the corner. If your worries about people seeing you build up, then build 2 blocks at a time, and break the block below. Makes sure you have a safe source to jump down to though. But yeah. Toxic, and it may work

I love your experimental bases and trying to basically hide out in the open. What I would do. These are fun to watch.

I feel like a good idea for a base would be to make it look like it’s already been ransacked, but have a fake wall in the back a couple blocks thick and your real base is back there. So people would come in, see the base has already been found, and then leave
I think you have to have an entrance not only because he has to get in and out and replace the blocks but also because I think there has to be a set entrance so I think it’s against the rules of Hide or Hunt.
Do not forget to collect string in mineshafts.. Then you can make bows, and then it doesn't matter so much if a skelly drops one, unless it's enchanted... but you can combine bows to repair them with an anvil and probably keep the enchantment as disenchanting requires the grindstone.. ;)
I love how in the beginning they were losing fights due to lack of coordination but soon they started doing well as they found a rhythm together
