I really loved it so much too. The pictures were also so strategically placed and the words more impactful as you see them. I noticed too at the end the second to last photo was an one of Rodney by himself as a handsome young man and then final picture panned to a recent family picture with his wife and adult children. Really gives you a sense of Rodney’s legacy looking from the young man by himself not yet knowing his destiny to seeing the end result of a beautiful life, well-lived, and full of love.
I love this song, and the album with the pics. What a beautiful tribute to this family. I wanted to mention that Franciso Martin actually wrote this song for Iam. He came in 2nd in the season where Just Sam won American Idol. I don't remember which year that was, but Francisco was a sweetheart and very talented. I love that these two collaborated on this. My heart goes out to you, Mike, for the loss of your dad. In my experience, it doesn't get 'easier,' but you do gradually learn to live with it, finding joy in those around you. You and Jess are a beautiful couple. Take strength from each other.

From the time this song came out til this day it gets me all 😢...I love this song I can relate to it and I know exactly how you feel Mike, I too lost my dad next month will be 41 years since he had passed and I still do get very emotional moments especially around this time of the month with fathers day coming up.

It's hard not to crying Iam must be very close to his dad how beautiful..he is so authentic and sincere from the beginning and that's why the whole world fall in love with him
you know i never truly mourned or cried for my dad. as when he died he died here at home and I remember when i found him i was in total utter shock. for so long i kept strong and didn't cry for my kids sakes. but Iam and his soulful music brought it out of me. and my dad passed a year ago and when I first saw his audition i cried like a baby and cried for a long time which i needed. So thank you for sharing his music. His music and soulfulness will lives on for years to come. God Bless both of you and keep reacting to his music. He will make a difference in this world for sure
