Just wanna say about the middle part there: Ed Sheeran's documentary the sum of it all made me cry so hard he just had a really rough time with his pregnant wife being diagnosed with cancer, a week later his best friend dies, a week later he's in a court case he eventually won but was dragged to hell by the press, and another friend died whist in the court case.. thats horrific and i felt so much sympathy for him 😢 i think everyone whether a fan or not should watch that documentary because essentially it wasn't about a musician but it was about grief.. hard recommend. He also said he had like hour long conversations with taylor all the time and i adore their friendship🥺

I was getting my master’s in translation and linguistics, so I did an analysis of why context is important when translating songs, they must not only rhyme or be singable in the new language, they must also maintain their context. To test my theory I used theories of rap and poetry translation. I translated the rep and folklore albums. I studied her writing style, the decisions to use capital or lowercase letters, the literary figures she prefers to use, the references she makes to her own discography, the literary work of other arrists or to pop culture. It goes deep into my field of study, but I this is a good overview, I think. I was getting my master’s in translation and linguistics, so I did an analysis of why context is important when translating songs, they must not only rhyme or be singable in the new language, they must also maintain their context. To test my theory I used theories of rap and poetry translation. I translated the rep and folklore albums. I studied her writing style, the decisions to use capital or lowercase letters, the literary figures she prefers to use, the references she makes to her own discography, the literary work of other arrists or to pop culture. It goes deep into my field of study, but I this is a good overview, I think.
