One thing comes out of your videos above all others in this genre - your gratitude. So many UA-camrs have an attitude that they are a star and an expert and we should almost feel grateful for being allowed to watch them. You are so grateful for your followers, your subscribers, your customers, your ability and opportunities with a camera. Gratitude is a great quality to show and you always do so without fail. You are one of life's good 'uns Henry!
Don't worry about the eye op, Henry. Think of it as an excuse to act like a Pirate for a bit until it heals. Y'arrrr! Seriously though, hope it goes well and your recovery is swift and trouble free. As for Skye, she does that to people on a daily basis. it's beautiful and very rewarding when it all comes together.
Do not rush back to us, take your time, recover, we will wait. It will be worth it even if you do not post anything for longer time. Your eyes give you ability to see all those beautiful places and take breathtaking photos. So take care of them. I am not landscaper, never was, probably never will but I follow your videos because your enthusiasm about what you do and what you show makes me inspired with a genre that is so far from photographing nature as it could be I think. Good luck.
Henry, you are a joy, your eye operation will be fine, relax if you can. I had the volume up on this video turned up as I was working across the room when my girlfriend came running into the room, "what's all that yelling about, you watching a sports game?" No I said, it's just Henry in Scotland and he's found heaven earth!!
Hi Henry - I am so sorry for not being a loyal fan - I came away from social media for a while but I’m so glad I have rediscovered your channel again, I love and appreciate your videos and really inspired by your passion and enthusiasm for photography and creativity. Thank you so much for kindly taking us on your adventures with you. Looking forward to tuning in again soon and being one of your subscribers again. I am saving up to have a 1-1 session with you if you have time - All the best with your eye surgery. Love your Herdy scarf too! 😀
Hey Henry. About ten years ago I had emergency surgery for a detached retina (no injury...it just happened). It helped me decide to retire two years earlier than planned because I loved photographing nature so much as a hobby. Surgery went great, eyes are fine. Good luck with your surgery. It will go fine and then you don't have to be anxious about it anymore. All 71,000+ of your subscribers will be in the waiting room, in spirit! Oh, before I forget, yet another premo photography video. Love your soulful appreciation of such beautiful sights!
Darn- after the title, I thought the Nikon had gone for a dip in the sea lol... or someone nicked your van !! Jokes aside... I'm sure the op' will go just fine... Wishing you all the best fella...
Henry, I subscribe to many photography channels, many of them landscape - yours by far, give me the most enjoyment, satisfaction and inspiration . I’m English (a Yorkshireman) but now live in Australia. Watching your videos, gives me great connection to ‘home’. Your informative, enthusiastic, yet humble style are perfect - you’re nailing it. I think this is my favourite so far - great job, keep it up mate… and if you’re ever in Australia, it would be fantastic to have a trip out!
The world's a better place with you in it, Henry. We need more folks like you. And your photography is almost as great as your gratitude. Always a great watch.
Henry, love the enthusiasm!! Beautiful shot @15:38 Between you and Kim Grant, you’re going to make me buy a plane ticket to Scotland 🙂👍🏻 Cheers from (HOT) Texas.
Henry you have nothing to be anxious about. I'm a teacher with a lot of work stress and i look forward to just seeing your video, advice and just positive outlook. Never need to explain your personal life dude, you'll smash it anyway.
Awesome video! Thanks for taking the time to take in the beautiful scenery! Sometimes people take it for granted and don’t open their eyes to it! Its wonderful to see your emotions looking at such natural beauty and appreciating it
Henry - you brighten and colour my days with your photographic skills, your enthusiasm and your humility. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share your travels as you chase the light, find the waterfalls and capture the movement of the ocean. You inspire and bring me joy during some dark days.... Thank you and stay safe and keep posting.
Man how passionate you are about the outdoors and landscape itself DESPITE the photography is massively inspirational. You’re in one of my favourite places on earth and you’re gonna want to cry at the thought of leaving!
When you said “having places like this to myself”, that I could really relate to. As landscape photographers we’re often in places where “regular” people don’t go, or at times when nobody but us even thinks of going there. But it’s by doing so that we end up experiencing the most beautiful sceneries almost on our own l
You’re lucky you were on the list 2 years ago mate. My family over the past 18 months have had to fork out multiple £1000’s to go with private care for tests and operations. We had to sell our car (and guitars and camera lenses!). I’ve just lent my sister 500 quid for breast cancer tests at the Nuffield too as it would have taken 12 weeks to get her cancer symptoms checked. This is what the right wing neoliberals are doing to the NHS. Deliberately allowing it to fail through cuts and strategic mismanagement to force through privatisation. We’ve spent all our savings on tests and ops for things that were routine on the NHS less that 5 years ago. We’re still alive though. Good luck with your op. Love your enthusiasm and positive outlook.
Wow - that shot at 15:45! I was sat here watching on my ipad with my headphones on, and actually shouted out “crikey, look at that light! Stop messing about with the video and get the shot man!!!”. The look from my wife was absolutely priceless 😂 You may well have had the operation on your eye by now, I hope it went well, and as everyone else here look forward to you being back out and about as soon as you’re recovered enough. Take care Henry.
What an outstanding Video. The pictures are truly amazing and they are not from this World....great Job!!!Man I love to watch your Videos....Congratulations to this piece of Art.
I remember when you first announced your eye surgery, can’t believe it’s been 2 years. I always had it the back of my mind, and was hoping you had had the surgery already. I know you will be fine and hope you heal fast.
One thing comes through on all your videos, narrative and photographs is your basic honesty and attitude about life. Very refreshing and wonderful to see and witness though your eyes. Thank you for what you do and share!
Stunning vistas. The seascape and cliffs were, as you said, speechless. Never gets better than this. So good for the soul. Thanks for bringing us along to share in your journey. Much love and respect :)
I had a hip replacement 3 years ago, had only been in hospital once before in my life, was dreading it, in on the Monday, hip done that morning, out of hospital on the Wednesday. The NHS really are a wonderful institution which should be protected no matter what.
Absolutely agree 100% but most of the NHS has already been sold off to American style private health enterprises. Even my GP practice is now owned by a private US firm. Ten years from now it will be 100% privatised with a US health insurance style system. Blame all the right wing neoliberals, including Blair! People should be out on the streets but alas here we are perpetually distracted by our phones. Glad you got your op.
Henry, my friend, emotions were over the top on this video...and for good reason. That location is truly breathtaking. I am in total awe of the incredible views you skillfully captured. You can count on me to be praying on your behalf, for a successful eye procedure and recovery. Ironically, I also am facing eye surgery (cataracts) just weeks from now. It's natural to feel a sense of uneasiness about these things, but remember - we are in good Hands. 🙏
Firstly Henry, hope all goes well with the eye op and dont feel the need to rush back, we will all still be here. Scotland in its finest raw beauty ("you little beauty" as you would say) and you captured it spot on Henry. You keep on getting stunning inspiring images and these were up there with them. Love the atmospheric feel you give to the final images. Calender ordered👍
As someone who has been through quite a few surgeries, the medical establishment has come leaps and bounds from where it was when I had my first one. I hope it goes well and sending healing prayers down the wavelengths.
Henry it is a privilege to watch you at work - The Isle of Skye is also my most favourite place to photograph. I am grateful for the opportunities it offers in all weather conditions - it truly has its own beauty 👏😊
I've been watching you for the past couple of years, and keep coming back to your channel as one of my favourites. Keep up the good work, and very jealous that you are out there in our glorious landcapes while I'm stuck in the office. I love your down to earth attitude towards everything, be it the van, food or photography - keep up the good work.
Absolutely stunning images of Scotland Henry 🤩 the mountains, the mist, the cascades are amazing. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from your eye surgery.........my wife has undergone one eye decompression surgery (which involves removing bone from the eye socket) and the second eye surgery in 4 days time. I hope your recovery is as successful as hers. Looking forward to more super videos with amazing scenes. 😁
Thanks Henry. Been a while since i've checked in. I will put your eye operation on my prayer list. Easy, man! I'm on my Ophthalmologists best cataract watch. So far so good... not bad at all. But your disciplined gift is key to all of us. You have so much more yet to do! Your drone "B" Roll is as beautiful as your photos. I am one who, at 70 now, shall always ring like a chapel bell to creation's beauty captured by you. What you do for us all is "huge." And paradoxically I pray you find true rest in that as an established fact!!!
Hey Henry I've been watching you for a while now and I must say your photography just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait for the day you're able to travel to some of the iconic spots like the Faroe islands and Iceland. Good luck with your surgery we your subscribers will be praying for you.
Henry, Henry, Henry. You always show your amazing gratitude and respect for the skills you have been given. As we are thankful for you sharing it with us. You out did yourself today on this adventure. Your photos were off the charts brotha. Absolutely stunning. No worries on the eyes, they will work out just fine. You still have many adventures to share with your followers.
Those light ray photos were absolutely jaw-dropping! With all the spectacular locations you take us to in your videos, I really have to get myself over to the UK and see these sights for myself. Well done, sir!
I have been following you from the get go and today’s video has to be one of the very best you have produced. Stunning photos, enthusiasm, endearing. At one point you had me in tears. You deserve every success, just perfect. Thank you
All the best Mr, and a speedy recovery 🙏 if you ever just want to get out after your op with the camera with company just give me a shout, I'm only in Yorkshire.
Another great video Henry, one of my favourites ever. I particularly love the picture at 15.38 minutes. I come from Scotland and still can’t believe how many fantastic locations there are in my country. I look forward to sitting down and watching your work. The locations, pictures, music, narrative but most of all the passion and emotion that goes into it. I remember a previous Scottish video where the scenery brought you to tears. Keep up the good work and good luck with the operation.
Henry, those last couple of images were absolutely Stunning 😎😎👏👏👏👏👏 Congrats! As far as your surgery goes, I’m sure everything will be fine, I had to have an eye OP a few years ago, and now have 17 titanium coils behind one eye, you’d never know, and it hasn’t affected my Photography at all ……… I’m still crap! 😜😜😜🤣🤣🤣🤣
Second video I've watched or yours. First one you were taking a photo of a stone in the middle of mud under gray skies, now you're photographing a bunch of puddles. Subscribed
Absolutely in awe of where you were in this video. The scenery is stunning and keeps delivering in spades. Thank you so much for sharing some of the most beautiful places way up north.
Hi Henry, another grand day out, thanks for sharing. Now there's a photographer that went to be that night a happy man, and rightfully so .. some wonderful images again. Don't ever change Henry ! ... and before I forget, good luck with the op
Henry, I’m predominantly a Street Photographer but have always enjoyed Land/Seascapes but since I’ve had my Fuji XT3 I feel like I’m going backwards, I found I had better luck with my entry level Canon DSLR. Thing is, I can’t afford to change systems just yet, I will do, but like with most at the minute, budget is just too tight so I’m just going to keep trying, using what I have, much better than giving up anyway. Hoping to visit Bempton Cliffs this weekend as we’re camping about 35 miles inland from there, Yapham, Pocklington near York, 4/5 months ago I’d never heard ofYapham or Pocklington, I only know now as the campsite is called Yapham Molds. We bought a tent after thinking our camping days were long behind us, we stopped around 10-12 years ago as my health would rarely allow me to help my wife with the tent, now we’ve a much larger tent but with inflatable poles, so much easier my wife can do it herself, not that I won’t help when able and I’ve got to do the guidelines etc anyway. The decision to buy one came when we priced up just my medical travel insurance for a week in Tenerife, asking anywhere between £350-£700, now I’m under investigations for other issues no one will even give me a quote, already used it once and at £20 for two nights you can’t beat it for a trial run, that was the other side of York, more Filey side, I just hope I get some pics this time but we’ll see. Next stop, Glencoe hopefully.
Hi Henry, yes Skye is something to get excited about! IMHO it is second only to the Faroe Isles, the shot of the Fairy Pools with the gully mountain in the background is, as you say, terrifying when you are there in person, very atmospheric images well done lad. Looking forward to seeing the rest of Skye
Genuinely, I think those last 2 shots are my favourites of anything I’ve seen of yours- I can’t even tell you how much I love them! Another inspiring video, that makes me want to grab my bag & head out- even though it’s half 11 at night & chucking it down!!
Another great video Henry. I love your enthusiasm when the rain comes. Some absolutely brilliant image's. I'm sure everything will be fine with your operation. Look forward to the next one. Take care and look after yourself.
Well Henry there is not a lot to say that has not already been said, so I will just say that those photos were excellent and your enthusiasm is infectious. Thanks for another great video with beautiful photos.
Hell yeah, absolutely wonderful day, I'd say! I love how you set yourself up for success, had her planned out in your mind; and watched and waited. Like a cat ready to pounce on its pray, waiting, hoping; no, anticipating, that spit second when the time is right to act. Over and over again, lol. As always. Well done young man, well done indeed!

Hear hear

You can't help but root for him when he's on these photography trips.
I enjoyed watching your incredible landscape photograohy adventure.👍
I added your channel, very inspiring content.
Best wishes for the operation, recover slowly - don't rush back for us - we'll be waiting for you!

I have followed the same path as you. I took a break from videos, but I'm so glad I returned. This in my humble opinion is Henry's very best!

Holy cow! That waterfall and mountains! I would have had the same reaction.

At 75, I've never been to the Isle of Sky but I feel I must go and try and capture that beautiful landscape - cheers, Henry! 👍
Man how passionate you are about the outdoors and landscape itself DESPITE the photography is massively inspirational. You’re in one of my favourite places on earth and you’re gonna want to cry at the thought of leaving!
The weather that would keep me inside is what Henry lives for. I need to remember this video.

Thanks Henry for keeping it ' real ' . Not many UA-cam photographers are as down to earth as what you are. Keep it up bud !💪
Fancied the trip up there for a while. Getting that waterfall in was the achievement.

Firstly Henry, hope all goes well with the eye op and dont feel the need to rush back, we will all still be here.
Scotland in its finest raw beauty ("you little beauty" as you would say) and you captured it spot on Henry.

You smashed it on the second to last image.
Good luck, I hope it all goes well and you recover quickly!
Genuinely, I think those last 2 shots are my favourites of anything I’ve seen of yours- I can’t even tell you how much I love them!
Another inspiring video, that makes me want to grab my bag & head out- even though it’s half 11 at night & chucking it down!!
Wow!! Go Henry your passion is infectious and shines through...
Oh my god Henry that has to be one of the best sets of images in just one video! keep up the good work.
