I’m having a hard time doing that.
Mental headspace, me!!! Just escaped a toxic, obsessive, unhealthy, abusive 3 1/2 year relationship with who I believed to be the love of my life, my soul’s divine eternal partner, “THE ONE, THE YIN TO MY YANG, THE ONE WHOSE SOUL WAS CREATED AS MY SOUL’S MISSING PUZZLE PIECE”.. A 30 year history & extreme internal connection, in which life separated & kept us apart as a couple but very good friends, connected at heart always, my heart fears, my past experiences & traumas, & our intense, unexplainable connection, all played upon with extreme love bombing to break my walls and make me his.. Once I fell, it was all over for me, the illusion was shattered.. I finally escaped after 3 1/2 years with nothing but a shattered heart and lack of self.. One day while clocking in at work, met someone & had that magnetic pull, a kind of magical feeling; unexpected connection, but unwanted!!! It’s been almost a year, a year of hesitation, fear, doubt, protection, pushing away/going silent, and mixed signals of inconsistency on my part, and nothing but continued pursuance, “showing instead of saying”, my wellbeing concern/support, and consistency on his part.. After experiencing the pain and self loss in that trauma bond with who I believed to be my true, created for me soulmate, then realizing him to be a karmic partner/karmic debt I owed, I’m terrified of feeling love again, only to go through another humiliating heart shatter.. But, my heart & head are at battle, feeling in my heart this new connection is different, as well as his actions proving it, but my head demons continue to take over in protection mode, searching in EVERY interaction for flags, “worst case scenario-ing”.. I feel deep in my heart he’s different, WE’RE different, and I can see/feel a future with a healthy, true God & Universe love leading to that white dress, altar, & life lasting “I do”, just gotta figure out how to get outa my own self sabotaging, protective mode headspace!!
