4K | Spring Walk Through Kyiv Centre | 11th Сentury Golden Gate | Life in Ukraine | Life in Kyiv

I invite you to a spring walk in the center of Kyiv.
Today we will visit one of the oldest streets in the city - Vladimirskaya Street.
We will see the famous historical monument of the 11th century, the Golden Gate, which was built by Yaroslav the Wise. This was the only entrance to ancient Kyiv.
Next we will visit an unusual house with a spire, which rises on the opposite side of the Golden Gate. This is the so-called Baron Castle, which belonged to the landowner Mikhail Podgorsoky,
The entire history of the castle is shrouded in mystery. Now the castle houses an Icon Gallery; on the top floor of the castle there is a wonderful observation deck, which offers a magnificent view of the Golden Gate and the center of Kyiv.
We will also walk along the ancient Yaroslaviv Val street and observe the life of evening Kyiv.
