A difficult travel day for you, glad you made it to the hotel in Bogota in one piece, and I bet you slept well. Looking forward to following your Colombia adventures, and definitely more budget-friendly than Canada or the USA.
Sleeping in the airport is brutal but easier when you're in your 20s lol. I saw that you plan on going to Europe again for Christmas however Latin America has lots of Christmas markets and festivals too. Apparently in Medellin, Colombia in early December they have a massive Christmas lights festival.
Oh no!!! That would have been so fun 😞 we need to get back to Aus from some weddings in November so we won't be here to see it. Honestly didn't think Christmas markets and festivals were that popular here! Lesson learned!
😊 Thanks for watching and your comment! So far all we know is we'll be running around south america until November! Then maybe heading back to Europe just because we love the Christmas markets 😄
@@JordanandEmily sounds amazing! So glad you did Colombia, somewhere I’d love to see but seems many people skip it. Why did you miss out Central America? More Christmas markets also sound amazing!!
Glad that you both survived sleeping in the Nashville Airport overnight. At least you didn't have to sleep on this medal chairs. Even though it was probably rough on both of you at least you can spend the $200. saved towards something else. Wishing you both the best in Bogota Colombia.
Sleeping in an airport is the worst! But that's a lot of money to save! You can buy 2 domestic return plane tickets for that much in Colombia! Welcome to 🇨🇴!!
I know you are probs already in Columbia but if you get the chance watch Karl Waton travel doc on you tube, he does bespoke tours for intrepid and has just put out his two series part on Columbia, it might give you some ideas and his series are all good. Cheers happy travels. ( watching currently from Turkey as travelling as well before heading home to Brisvegas in three weeks)
We saw his thumbnail pop up and I think we watched his egypt stuff before, he has such high quality it's crazy! We haven't had time to watch his colombia stuff yet but it's on the list! Ooohhh what part of Turkey? Are you loving it!?
Been all over and two days in Bodrum then onto Selcuk and Istanbul. Yes loving it but it’s costly now due to their inflation of late. Oh well we are being frugal as well taking the local mini buses and eating outside of tourist areas.😂😂😂😂
@@kaybrisvegas1099 the inflation was already making its mark when we were there so I can't even imagine now 😞 ooohhh have fun at Ephesus, try and get there at open! We had it to ourselves!
BNA is the wrong airport to spend the night this isnt SIN lol. Nashville is a city with good nightlife. I don't quite understand. Why did you arrive so early to the airport (4pm?)? When I do this kind of thing, I try to get up/check out as late as possible, store my bags somewhere (I guess there may be some cost for this), spend the day/night doing something downtown and then arrive as late as possible to the airport. At least eat dinner before going to the airport, then you don't have to go through security and back out and it would probably be cheaper and better. Also, It's always fun when you're first welcome to a country is to have taxi drivers try to rip you off.
Would you sleep at an airport to save $200?! 💸
Bedankt
i hate long waiting times at airports!
Oh wow! Thank you so much for that 😊 it really means a lot 😀

@@JordanandEmily Yeah I think they're a different style. Less artisan markets but more parades and lights etc
It’s almost as if you’re encouraged not to sleep at the airport. There are sometimes when it’s better not to sleep.
You might be right 😄 at least we got through this one!
Thanks for sharing. Hope you enjoy South America :) where else you planning to visit?

I had a neighbor sleeping on my shoulder one, didn't mind, a very nice lady, but she was so embarassed..
😄 it seems to happen more than we thought! I guess on an early morning flight everyone is super tired!

We checked out as late as we could because we were house sitting 😞 we didn't intend to buy food but we got hungry haha we definitely messed up!
