    Interesting review, thanks guys. You make good content. I would like to see the dispersion map for each of these clubs. Does the implied forgiveness work for the standard clubs over the LS versions? How much draw bias do you actually get? Is it really work upgrading from my 5 year old club? Or at what age club do you really see the benefits of the new technology when you upgrade?

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer 2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback Paul, really appreciate you taking the time. Within the industry it's sort of accepted the life expectancy of a driver has risen to about 5 years. The answer really is to give a new model a try against your current gamer.
      Until you feel there's a difference that's worth paying for, a switch probably isn't going to be on the cards.
      We don't often show dispersion numbers on our reviews Paul, the reason being they are only relevant on the day they're created and usually are very different when you come back and test on any future days. However in our Best 2022 Driver video we will look at drop-offs between Neil's longest and shortest hits, to see how good a driver is at protecting the ball speed and carry distance created.
      Hope that helps.

    Excellent work lads!
    Stealth is interesting concept (aka marketing lol) but as long as CT and COR are still being regulated it’s hard to see any significant gains. The red face is going to take some getting used to and I’m not willing to pony up $699 usd to customize that color to black lol.
    Something else I read that was interesting is that because the carbon face is so strong it prevents CT creep which apparently is what happens when you’ve hit a metal wood repeatedly the CT can exceed the USGA limit because of the wear on the face. Not sure how much that affects distance but golfers are a funny bunch especially when it comes to their drivers. I seem to recall Vijay Singh was accused of taking a belt sander to the face of his drivers to thin them out and increase COR and CT lol

    • @todaysgolfer

    Thanks for all your hard work doing the comparisons Guys, but my take on all the numbers is that neither of the two new driver ranges competes/betters Neil's two model old PING G400 PLUS.
    I would be interested to see if you do H2H comparisons with the new drivers and the previous offering. My suspicion is that we will not see any significant performance gains.
    PS You need to be careful with TM's statements regarding the lighter face and the "efficiency" of the "transfer of energy", (in Material Science terms that has a very specific meaning) and does not mean that the face will produce longer drives. Whatever the face material & its weight the performance will still be limited by the USGA and R&A Performance regulations.

    Interesting comparison. Indeed agree needs to be used and hot out on the course and having a good fitting and choice of shaft too is equally key. My current driver which I went to from the m2 is the pxg proto x+ 12 degree set at 11 (as I never slice but sometimes pull so opening the face vs a draw driver is better for me). Also went to a 44.75” riptide cb shaft - only downside is lost 30 yds or carry. Upside hit 9-% of fairways now. Makes for a challenging second shot at my time of life so if I can find something that gains me back at least 15-20 yds of carry with consistency of tight dispersion would look at it. Maybe between the stealth and the rouge st max -f one can find the right length and shaft - maybe worth exploring. Though as a leftie not always easy to find options. I see for example the stealth in left hand does not come in a 12 degrees to possibly mirror my proto x+. As every other club in my bag works very well this is the one I need to address and fix to regularly keep my score tight and low. Onwards and upwards.

    Great video. This is my first UA-cam comment ever. I could not help but feel a taylormade bias in this whole video. I’m a Taylormade gym myself play the p790’s and had the R11 for ten years. I couldn’t help but notice the numbers seem to point towards the rogue being the best in all categories but really no mention of that. Did I miss something? I just got fitted and tried ever driver and shaft combo they had. I’m watching videos to see if my results are typical with other tests. I personally hit the Rogue ST Max the best.
