you probably dont care but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Nelson Luciano I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Im a teacher but not a native speaker, whenever I have any question I refer to your videos I love the method you are pressenting, it is very clear and understandable. Much appreciated🙏🙏💙
Thank you, it is complicated but understandable by the way of your great explanation. I wonder that what is the reason of this difference between pronunciation and writing? Is it possible to explain it in terms of historical development of English language and also effects of the other languages to English language. I look forward to receiving your valuable comments.
Thank you Sir, Those are the very confused words and you made many of us to clear understanding of the words and their pronunciation., And again thank you so much for your efforts Sir.
Thanks for your great lesson. I am so grateful for you effort. By the way I gave your name to my son. May be one day he will be as great person as you.
Hello! I teach English as well. I think those letter groups come from Old English. Remember, English is a Germanic language that became infused with a lot of Latin, particularly French. For example, the word "right" in English (as in "correct") is "richtig" in German. You can see the correlation.
hey students the teacher is doing a great job thanks to him and one more thing we have to give him one like of every lesson and subscribe because we are not paying anything at least that is all we can do, thanks.
Iya Saidou Condé Lol😂😂😂😋🌟🌹I know it's wrong I just wanted to use the words 😂 .. thats why I said" the sentence is tough" by which i meant that it's "wrong" and caught a cough means "grammatically ill" 😂😂😂😂 anyways, thank you 😋✨🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
The lesson is great! Thanks a lot. Although I feel confused about "slough" pronunciation (in the meaning "bog or swamp") . I have always thought it sounds like "slaow" not "sluff". Can anyone help me?
Hi Adam! I'd like to study with his videos, but I want to learn American English, and for this, I really want to do if this is the videos for American ou british English?
Thanks for the lesson Adam! I just looked up the word 'slough' in a few dictionaries, and there's always a third meaning: 'the outer layer of the skin of a snake, which is cast off periodically' and the verb related Is it in common usage?
Great video I have a big difficulty in saying correctly the words lock and luck. They sound so similar Could you mention these words on one of your future videos? I'll be grateful
Sorry for the late reply, but I'm going to explain it to you as best I can. For lock, you say it like L(OCK) (if you know how to say 'flock', think of it that way, without the F at the beginning). For luck, you say it like L(UCK) (think of the word 'yuck', only instead of a Y, replace it with an L). Hope this helps :-) Good luck with learning English!
Hello Adam! How about a vídeo explaining the rules of double consonants in the words? Such as in the word "hello" !! I mean, not only when conjugating verbs or altering the primary forms of words. I really mean all cases, could it be done? Thanks!!!
this lesson it was hard 'cause all those words sems with each others, it's very confused I probably will take a time to memorize everything but thank you for your class
Sir Adam, thank you so much for your exciting lessons! My students and I are crazy about them! Just one thing: the dictionary transcription is different in a few cases. For example, Slough: |slaʊ| American English, slough |slaʊ| British English. So the question is: is it a mistake to pronounce the word like this? Thank you!
no. regarding phonetic spellings in other languages. Romance languages have phonetic spellings, but some w/ a few rules. We don't have 'lewis vouitton', it's 'lewie vouitton'. So what is the pronunciation for: 愛 ? A better way to think of this is we can see how to either say, or know what is, a word. I know what 愛 is because I learned kanji. A chinese speaking/writing person likely knows what the intended meaning is but may not be able to say it in japanese. This is what Alfred K meant by either knowing a word (by reading), or knowing how to say (but not knowing what it is) by reading. You get one or the other, knowing meaning or knowing pronunciation, but not usually both. The problem w/ English is we beat up other languages and steal words from them. All ough and augh words are likely from another language. My guess is early germanic. When it's 'inside a word' it is an infix.
Sir Adam! you're doing a great job. Your lessons don't just teach how to say the words but it also teaches so many meanings of the words.. so great
