Thank you for this. He was always my favorite Joe. By far the comic franchise's most 'realist' if not grounded character. Damn, shame the studios involved in the cartoons and live-action movies wasted (sidelined) his character. If they had made a live-action version of his character (back in the day), Carl Weathers would have been perfect for the role. Just imagine...
Great review. He is probably so green because of the original figure being so green back in 82.
Stalker has been on of my favorite characters since the 80s. Stalker, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow served in Vietnam together. Their Long Range Recon Patrol was ambushed and they were the only 3 survivors from their squad. Or so they thought.
They were ambushed again during their extraction, where Snake Eyes was severely injured and Storm Shadow (Tommy) ran back to recover him and get him to the chopper.
The comics from that era where amazing. And some of the most popular comics marvel had at the time. Larry Hama did a great job writing them, being a veteran himself.
They all reunited in another rescue mission in the "Silent Mission" storyline, a rather unique issue within the comic-book industry that is still admired (and copied) to this day. I won't give away the specialness of the issue.
I think he looks great! The green doesn’t bother me, but I see where you’re coming from.
I remember stalker from when I was little and the three and three quarter inch figure I lost him and had to trade for a new one when I was a young kid. Fast forward 25 years and my dad is cutting down a tree and stuck in one of the branches was stalker that I forgot I put in there except for the rusted screw it was in good condition. So stalker holds a place in the heart for childhood memories! Great review like always Greg!.
Cool one !!
This is a cool figure, he has lots of possibilities and pictures.
G.I. Joe and Adventure Force soldiers are very cool 😍
Excellent review Greg!!
Sweet review Greg keep it up👍👍👍👍👍
Great review Greg dope figure 😎👍
Awesome, I agree with you 😊
I think this a solid figure I found it at my local Wal-Mart and picked it up for the price point of 22$ it was cheaper than a Marvel legends figure and I got more bang for my buck with all the accessories it came with unlike marvel legends I recommend to any collector to stop buying marvel and pick up to Joe figures !.
The SMG is called M-32 "Pulverizer" Submachine Gun
I think the shoulders and the arms are the way they are because he and snake eyes share bodies. Basically a repaint of the snake eyes body with the armor pieces
Stalker is not an army building figure. Just an individual like Flint or Duke, unless you have customized heads. But he has the standard green army uniform. So, okay with him being too green since that is jungle camouflage.
Saw this in the store, did not realize the decent amount of accessories. Nice. Might pick it up the next time I see him.
Thanks for the review.
I just got him on prime for $15. Good figure. I wore a beret in the army for 20 years. It seems a little off. It does need more colors. Good review
My wife agrees that he is too green. But I think he is accurate since the original character was LRRP in Vietnam. So I can see the base green of the old OD green uniform with darker green tiger stripes. I think you should get some more and make a team and just swap out the heads and hands.
Go Joe
If this stalker had his filmation colors l think that would enhance stalker much more. That's my opinion. But stalker looks pretty cool.
It. Should have more gray on it
You know I had no idea that was a silencer, at first I thought it was a spare magazine for the gun but realized it wasn;t I have struggled with that since I bought the figure, Makes sense but it is unusual with it;s shape and all.
I think the Gridiron set will look better on him.
😎👍🏻🇺🇸
