This video is 100% pure talk, talk, talk - soft-spoken, droning, and blah, blah, blahing...in hopes of quieting and relaxing your mind. I do some lite reading from Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Book of Etiquette, which has some pretty funny sections, given that it was published in the early 1950s!

Can totally relate to falling asleep to soft voices in real life! In my early twenties, I worked with an older woman. She was so kind and her voice was so soft and tingly. When she would talk, I would doze! Even in 1:1 meetings! She was really worried about me! I didn’t know how to explain 😂! No one was talking about ASMR twenty years ago!

I'm working 75 hours a week sleeping in my car having to give up my apartment for the past three and a half years after mom died in her for-profit hospitals and here I am looking for something peaceful and I come across you. Pray for me cuz I need help trying to start a business while sleeping in your car working 7 days a week is stressful and the cops are all over the place in this city making money harassing the people so pray for me by the way I'm in Memphis

I was crying and stressing over things going on in my family currently whenni came across this video. It reminded me of when my grandma would just talk and talk softly until I would fall asleep to her voice. Thank you for this. I really really needed it. 💞
I love that memory you shared! I'm so glad you have it and can tap into it. Life IS stressful. And we are given emotions (like crying) to use as outlets sometimes to relieve stress. It's ok! Crying can be a huge release. Don't disregard that - ever.

I can totally relate! My mom (when I was really young and had a relationship with her) used to play with my hair all the time and it put me right to sleep. Jeannie gives me that warm, fuzzy, caring mom feel and I’m so glad I found her channel.

I’m fortunate that my dna has given me good skin, but I battle dryness. I appreciate your comment and may do a skincare regimen video someday. (P.S. I also use prescription Retin A along with sunscreen every day!)

kinda sad how servants were referred to as property…
From our current time frame and looking back on history, we see so clearly some of the wrongs, some of the injustices, some of the improper verbiage, and so on. I'm grateful I have these books to be able to look back and see what was "normal" back then. And grateful some things have changed with the times! ;)
I actually use this tactic of soft droning alongside my husband when our children are struggling to fall asleep. We cuddle them (they're 3 now) and talk to each other and they always drop off!
I love “soft spoken” and Jeannie is fast becoming my favourite.

I rarely like women's voices for ASMR. Most seem to have a secret goal of turning you on while putting you to sleep, which seems counterintuitive to me. However, I could tell off the bat that you were the real deal. Thank you.

Over the moon...Omg - my heart was completely broken in half when we would leave. (Young love - it's a killer, right?!)

@@JeannieBASMR I can't remember the specific beach, but it was the main beach right there within walking distance of the downtown/shops/restaurants. We went to an amazing dinner and had drinks overlooking the beach and then went on a walk oceanside and he proposed. It was the loveliest scene! I'm sorry you had your heart broken, but you've no doubt recovered ;) thank you for sharing your talent with us!
