What kills me is that attorney has the nerve to say no one in the courtroom agrees with the judge. They both needed to be charged with contempt of court.

MIddleton would have issued a lot of "STOOOP, just STOPPP"s, followed by a very polite, yet scathing dressing down of the PD. He would have known about employment through an old friend that used to work at the Tasty Nut.

That was fire!!! I cannot believe the DISGUSTING way the attorney spoke to the Judge!!
The woman is crying and making a fuss when she’s had 10 years TEN YEARS to pay $650!!!
    That’s $65 a year, that’s incredible…. I mean come on!
    Absolutely unbelievable!
I can’t even start to comprehend why she hasn’t made any effort to either enroll or pay what, $6 a month??? She could have easily sorted this out years ago!!!

    • @epicurius1
      @epicurius1 2 роки тому +3

Here's the way I see it. She's screwed as of the beginning of this proceeding, and she probably knows, and her attorney definitely knows it. There's no argument the attorney can make that will mitigate the fact that she neither got her GED or payed her fine in 10 years.
That being the case, by being a zealous advocate, even though he's got no case, and by being willing to piss of the judge, he's showing the defendant (and everybody else) that he's going to fight for his defendants, in spite of them. That in itself is a big plus and helps his reputation, because it shows he's not just willing to settle for what's easy.
Like, the job of a defense attorney isn't to make the judge happy. (You don't want to piss off the judge too much that you get cited for contempt.) But you don't work for the judge. You work for your client, and you come out swinging and give that client the best defense you can, even if it's hopeless. And that's what that guy did, so God bless him.

Her attorney is in direct contempt and any other judge in the world would be done put her in jail!! He needs to put her and her attorney in jail!!! This is one of the first times I have been completely on the side of the judge.. WOW the way he is allowing them to even speak is baffling to me!

Hi Mike, I’m catching up with your videos, binging all weekend. I just got a msg from my internet provider. My usage last week was up 14 hours per day. Thank god I don’t drink anymore. Or I might be doing that all day. This was a good video. I enjoyed it. I feel his punishment was fair and quick. 3 days and you are done with this 10 year problem. ❤️LOVE NANA FROM NY❤️

Unbelievable! If you go to court where I live and act or talk like this to one of our judges you would go straight to jail for contempt. They do not tolerate any disrespect whatsoever!

Could the defense lawyer be reprimanded for his treatment? Also his clerk being snippy to the judge. She shouldn't have that job.

in my opinion, that "sir" at the end had some back sass too it Mike. She said it after repeating something to judge. It just felt like a "polite asshole" move. 😆

I noticed too that Katrina was being more respectful to judge! Someone let her know, I’m sure of it. Now that lawyer needs a lesson in how to behave!

Wish she was in front of one of the other judges, she would’ve gotten more than 3 days which I think is very fair since she’s let this go for 10 years! And Mr. Attorney should have been handcuffed right there beside her!

@10:17 Attorney Davis joins and appears to be like, "Nope. I want nothing to do with this part, I'm out until I am up." The expression and the head shake. Mr. Davis can read the room, and realized it's like a Nelly song.... Getting hot in here.

No wonder his clerk is so mouthy. Judge Marable needs to stop being so nice.

Lock her up 48 hours!! If you do nothing she’s basically run your courtroom she’s controlled you sir!! Please 🙏🏽 Please give her consequences for her actions!! If you don’t you will have let her choose her behavior & if you allow her to pay a fine you would also allow her to choose her own consequences!! And life doesn’t work like that!!! Please 🙏🏽 Sentence her already!!!

Jail is a consequence. If you can’t follow through on the other consequences, jail is the last straw. Sit there and think about the choices you have made and change your behavior!
