His teaching is simply awesome. He perfectly understands one mindset of how a beginner would view the MATLAB environment.
And he simply clarifies all the doubt....Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

I do not usually reply to ad hominem comments, but you, sir, have gone too far with this grave insult to the late great Bob Ross.

Haha. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" Great analogy for what happens inside of the user-defined functions!

clear and precise video. Thank you prof. However, for the 3by4 random numbers between low and high, i suggest we use " low + rand(3,4) * (high - low +1)". It should work

I"m getting an error while calling the function like unrecognized function name or variable
any one help me to sort this out

U must check what is the name of the file in which I have saved your function script. Name of the function and file name should match.

Hello, why does 'v' comes out as the second output instead of 's' as v i before s in the myRand function, why does it skips v and selects s as the second output?
    Thanks

***** We put in function [a,s] not [a,v] nor [a,v,s] because of this we only using the outputs a and s. :)

could you be kind enough to tell me what 'v' look like?

  • @wpouser

I tried to use the "sum" term directly on the "a" matriz, like "sum a(:)", but the result was a total nonsense, after that I tried to make many other combinations but all the results were numbers above 400, and if I put "sum a[:]" yet another nonsense happens. Why this is happing professor Fitzpatrick?

You are awesome !!! Thank u so much for taking out time to explain. one quick question. Does it only apply to matlab or any other programming language that local variables are lost if not retrieved as an output argument. Hope to hear from you coz I trust what you say.
    kind regards
