I found your channel a couple of days ago and I'm obsessed! I'm only in highschool but I know I want to go into medicine and channels like these are so helpful. Thanks!!
Watching your videos really give everyone a description about being in medical school and your videos are very detailed and thoughtful. I love your channel! X3
ur vids r very helpful .. i just finished my 1st year .. i remember watching vlog video from u i think it helped me getting to know med school ... thank u so much .. keep up ur work i hope u and me and everyone achieve their goals ... i'm from saudia arabia ❤ .
I feel the same way about getting things wrong. I forces me to concentrate on the material versus reading it superficially. BRS books I can attest to them. My BRS Anatomy was so good because it gives the information that you actually need to and cut out all the unnecessary. Sadly someone stole it mine when I was in 2nd year but I am definitely going to order another.
So I am starting to think that I should make a video about study habits, since I use many of what you mentioned. Either way great video, I totally agree about several things: not using too many resources, using spaced repetition (although it wasn’t explicitly said as that), using the best hours where one is awake (which is not the same for everybody) and doing practice questions. I also specifically like the fact that you mentioned, Lecturio, I am a huge fan, it has helped me out tremendously. The bookmatcher is awesome and the vids that are super concise and clear also come in PDF format! I used the pdf as a summary that I complemented from the book. Lecturio isn’t the only option for a video lecture service out there but it worked for me. Thanks
Finally go to watch it. Attendance is taken very seriously in China. If you're absent for 5 classes, you don't get to write the Exam. We don't have recorded classes so we have to go to class. My final exams are in 3weeks So I'm preparing. I Enjoyed this video. Thank you☺️☺️
I've been binge watching your videos all day & I absolutely love the advice & vlogs you've been giving. I'm trying to watch this video but it's not letting me😩😭
thanks for these great tips! i'm starting medical school in the fall and i'm a bit nervous to see how studying is different from when i was in college. can't wait to see what videos you make next! i just recently started incorporating my medical school related videos to my old makeup/beauty channel and i'd love for you to check it out if you can! i'm looking to make more friends in this youtube/med school community. thanks! :)
Rebi333 thank you! And congrats on starting med school. I didn't use pathoma during first year because we didn't have a pathology course. But I'm using it for 2nd year.
I have been trying to watch this video but it isn't playing. Keeps saying something went wrong, retry. But I can watch other videos but this one is it playing.
I love your channel! I'm starting medical school in August. About how many hours per day did you study? And do you include lecture hours as study hours? Thanks!
Congrats on starting med school soon! I average about 5-6 hours a day of studying. Maybe more when it's exam week. I don't include lecture hours as study hours.
I noticed you replied to a different comment on a different video and you said you don't work because you don't have time. How do you manage to pay for your apartment and daily needs like food? Asking because i'm really worried about being financially stable once i go to med school.
Swaggermuffin996 student loans takes care of those expenses. You make a budget with financial aid at the begging of the year. Takes care of rent, utilities, food, etc. There's very few people who can afford to pay for med school out of pocket
Thank you so much for your tips . I have a question where did you complete your degree? With what degree (biology , chemistry , etc ) what was the most difficult step to get into medical school ?
Lucero Lopez you're welcome! Cell and molecular biology major at Augusta State university. MCAT was probably biggest hurdle. I have a video discussing my experiences as pre med :) ua-cam.com/video/ObWPGwmS6-M/v-deo.html
i dont know if you mentioned it(im asking cause ill forget what i wanted to ask later lmao) but how do i get rid of using my phone too much? the only thing that makes me lose my focus is phone. i tried to use it less, but its just impposible. its way too addicting. do you have any tips about that?
is medical school super hard, like i've always wanted to be a doctor since i was like 4 but im rethinking now cos everything just seems hard in medicine.
Hi i am Johanna and i am 13 years old ( By the way : I am a German ) and I want be a surgeon in Seattle , your channel is very helpful for me ! Do you think a German can study Medicine in the US ? I ´m sorry that my English isn´t so perfect i learn English since grade 5 ( I am in grade 7 , soon I ´ll be grade 8 ) . And you are very beautyful ! And a question : Do you like Grey´s Anatomy ? Thx :)
Thank you :) How many years do you study general medicine and cardiac surgery in the US ? And do you say fix ? (´´April has a meningitis , can you fix her ?´´ . )
Throughout first year I did not have a study group at all. I was more productive on my own. During 2nd year, I have now joined a study group for one of my classes, the material is more complex and it's helpful to talk things out. Just know yourself and decide which learning style is best for you.
Praying for your success my sister

Mikayla !! That's awesome!
Bless you for this channel!
I really like the way Lecturio explains biochem. I'm IMG but my med school is adapted to American MD program, so we have curriculum for USMLE.

Born Hater maybe try putting it in your bag while studying? If I'm studying at my desk, I'll sometimes put my phone on my bed so it's out of sight.
Would you recommend getting used BRS books from amazon?
Daniela Jazmin mine have been used. I see no problem with it
