Superb pistol I would have No Reservations packing this on the streets people look at 22 magnum as a miniscule cartridge I'm going to tell you it's no joke it's a very capable cartridge and it will do the job as a side note it doesn't have the capacity of the Kel-Tec but I prefer this hands down it is a much better quality pistol in my opinion thank you for the video sir

That's a fine looking pistol. So glad to see a 22 mag pistol that runs good and the mags not a pain in rear. At first that bull barrel through me off. The fire rings from muzzle was added bonus. And you shot it great. Take care
Hi buff, is this pistol reliable, I mean Jams or anything similar. I m new to guns & friends say .22 ain't reliable. & how often should u clean it? Thanks
I love how UA-cam is placing anti-gun ads at the beginning of gun videos! The rhetoric is just falling on deaf ears, as the saying goes. Or at least it ought to be, since most of us understand that crimes are committed by people and not objects.

I bought a wmp right when they came out, and after thousands of rounds I have zero malfunctions or complaints. Currently no one makes a holster for the wmp, so I just pulled a tlr1 hl off another gun and use my phlster fullsize tlr1 holster. I love how accurate the wmp is, but with the chunky defensive sights, I was having a hard time past 50 yards. To really reach out I put a viridian RFX35 sight on it, now I have no problem ringing a 10 inch plate at 100 yards. I wanted backup irons and the stock sights aren't tall enough. I had a set of Ameriglo blacked out suppressor height sights laying around off a glock 17, they were a perfect fit for lower 1/3. All in all, it's a fun plinker and l like to carry it when I go out on hikes. For self defense, I'll sick with my 9mm's.
17:10 Others gave that liberty up for me when I was a kid. Our Masters and Lords won't let me have a handgun here. Btw, I love listening to the rooster in the background and the view over your shooting range Thumbs Up and Thx
First time viewing this channel... wow. Man, you are EXTREMELY knowledgeable, thorough, personable and articulate. Clearly you know what you’re talking about.
Bought one the first day they were released from Cabelas. It was the first and only one they had in my local store. It wouldn't feed with either magazine at first. Once I got to feed it would fail to feed evert there rounds. It also jammed several times. I had quite a few primer strikes without the ammo going off. I was using CCi 40 grain hollow points which was Walther's suggested ammo to use. I found both magazines would wiggle loosely over a quarter when locked in place. I sent a video to Walther of thr loose magazine slop. They told me there was definitely something wrong a d to send it in. The pistol was there for almost two months. I had to call several times to follow up. They told me it needed a barrel. They also told me that they were just going to send a replacement pistol because it was taking to long for a replacement barrel. A week later I called again to ask if my replacement WMP was shipped yet. At this time it was over 2 months since it was sent to them. I was told this time nothing was wrong with my pistol and they were sending the orignal pistol back as is! I asked for a replacement pistol as promised or a refund. They sent me a check for my orignal purchase price. Never again buying or recommending a Walther. I'm not the only one who's having reliability issues with the WMP. Just Google it.
With the problems that many prior manufacturers had with an attempt at a semi auto 22WMR I have stayed on the sidelines waiting for a longer time frame to elapse before jumping on the bandwagon for one of these. Seems overall this pistol still has an overall good track record of doing what it is designed to do so in the near future I plan on picking one of these up. I have been a .22WMR fan for over 50 years and have multiple rifles both in lever and bolt action in the caliber. For me this pistol will make a good side arm in the field utilizing the same ammo my long gun uses! This pistol makes it nice to have what appears to be a reliable choice in a sidearm in .22WMR other than just having a revolver as a dependable option. Thanks for the video, I always enjoy your no nonsense style when reviewing weapons and ammo and have been a subscriber for quite a while!
I know you weren’t just showing off when you shot the shaving cream. You waited until it was the smallest possible target before pulling the trigger. 100% skill if you ask me. Merry Christmas, Buffalo!
I like it! I have had two Keltec PMR 28s and they're fun but picky. I only have one now and I call it my PMR 28 because of the 4 magazines I have, none will hold 30 rounds and work reliably, but with 28 they seem to do just fine. Soooo PMR 28. 😉
WOW. This is the first video from this gentleman that I have viewed. I am most impressed. And, I am very particular about the quality of videos that I compliment, and you have passed the tests. The content is very thorough. Buffalo is well spoken. He knows all the correct terminology, correctly identifying the parts of the gun. He shows the correct way of assessing the precision of a gun by putting the gun on a rest. The groups that he got using the sights provided on the gun are outstanding, both at 10 yards and at 20 yards. Shooting groups while shooting off-hand shows more about the ergonomics of the gun (for the person shooting) and less about the gun's precision. The gun's accuracy is excellent in that the point of impact coincided with the point of aim for the installed sights. I have only one disagreement with his terminology, however. When a gun does not fire without a magazine in place, it is only a magazine disconnect, not a magazine safety disconnect. That feature does not necessarily make the gun any safer. Buffalo, keep up the excellent work. I will search for your other videos from now on.
Thanks Buffalo, you do cover all the bases. I'm waiting on 22lr/22mag revolver. Doesn't look like it's going to make it before Christmas. You and yours have a wonderful Christmas 🎄☃️🇺🇲
Thanks Buff, you really know how to help a guy spend his money! Just ordered a new pistol last Tuesday, waiting on it to deliver. Just watched this, now I have to order one of these! LOL! Love your channel, wish you had time to make more videos, I watch for them all the time. Hope to see you test it with optics. Keep up the great work buddy, greetings from South Arkansas.
That's one of the best gun review videos I've seen ! And you're an excellent marksman as well. I've been thinking about getting a 22wmr pistol for a variety of reasons, one of them being that it could be used (in a pinch) for self defense. The one thing that's holding me back is the muzzle flash and to a lesser degree the loud report. If you needed to use that pistol at night you'd be blinded by that muzzle flash after the first shot! Muzzle flash can be controlled. Some manufacturer has to start loading ammo that does not produce that ball of fire when fired from a short barrel. Again, great review!
@@brettbaker5599 Agreed. I own several .22 Mags and am a big fan. I usually shoot the Maxi Mags, Punch, and the 50 grain Game Shok also from Federal. All the best this Christmas and in 2023.
Very nice. I have a S&W 351C revolver that I enjoy shooting and is my run to the store gun. I've had a Kel-Tec 22wmr, but they have never improved their magazines. I bought the loader which helps, but the magazines need improvement. It looks like Walther has bridged the gap and made a very nice 22wmr semi-auto
Finally a proper 22mag autoloader with a bull Barrel, which is a must for this cartridge. I had hard time convincing myself to buy the Keltec after seeing it's pencil barrel. Sadly all my 22mag ammo is reserved for my 9.5 inch Ruger Single Six. 💣
I've been hoping you would do a video on this pistol! Looks like I'll have to get one. I really like shooting .22 magnum but I wouldnt mind having something a little more "normal" than my PMR30.
Love my PMR30. Went ahead and got the MCARBO All-In-One bundle upgrade kit for it even though none of the reported ailments have shown up yet. So it's turned into a $720 rimfire pistol. Upside?...saved myself some liver damage! 😅 Now I want one of these WMP's....my liver is gonna be pissed (or relieved) again......
I own the Walther PPQ .22 LR. It is a great shooting pistol. Was looking for something in a full size for range shooting and plinking. The .22 mag would be a lot of fun but I can't justify the ammo cost. By thee way, as usual, that was some great shooting.
👍👍Great review Buffalo and that looks like a fine pistol. And of course your shooting was excellent as always . Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a great 2023.
Thanks for the great video. What a cool pistol. My small 9mm is hard for me to shoot well these days so I'm thinking of other options. Bullet placement is important so I may skip by 380 and go down to 22 WRM. This may be a good choice for me.
Wouldn’t advise it for self defense. Look up the van Nuys courthouse shooting of 2003; an attorney was shot 4 times in the face and twice in the body with .22 at point blank range... he walked away with non life threatening injuries.
Nice video, I held one at the store here in KY and it's definitely a full size gun, but it's a cool one nonetheless. Pricier than 22LR, obviously but a lot cheaper than 5.7x28.
I have had one for a few months and have put about 350 rounds thru it with zero malfunctions. Even fired some of the NOT recommended ammo with no problems. 1791 Gunleather makes holsters to fit it.
Buffalo, I know this question is off the topic of your video, but I've seen your other videos where you put Skinner peep site on a lever action rifle, and then one where you put a Ranger point precision clover leaf peep site on another lever action. Which one of the 2 do you prefer?
I have the same gun I went and put in the federal punch 22 mag after watching your comparison with the gold that so I use the 22 magnum punch in my WMP

Thanks, Buffalo. Nice. I like that it is hammer fired. You do a great job staging the trigger. Not something you can do with a striker fired gun. 2 sights v. adjustable sight? 🤷♂ Best magazine release for a rimfire pistol ever...S&W 422/622. Recessed release in the front strap of the grip. Never unintentionally releases, easy for both left and right handed shooters. Why others haven't used it? 🤷♂

I’m a USPSA master and this guy is one of the few tubers who actually knows what he is talking about. Great channel I’ll be watching.
You can tell he shoots IDPA/USPSA and probably read the Brian Enos book from the 90s.

A new fav for me. Finally someone got a .22 Mag. pistol right. Runs like a champ. Thank you Walther!

Is someone playing mess around the ad and cause problems? I mean possibility big tech did that?
