      Thank you! I think they will still be able to accept your kids cos school starts on September. You should reach out to the school as early as now to explain your situation. They might give you a consideration.

      Hi there! That’s a very good question! This pandemic was a lot easier cos my husband and I were both working from home which made our life a lot easier. However, pre-pandemic days, it was stressful for me cos I need to collect my daughter from the school every time I finish my work at 4pm. Mornings are not a problem because we just drop her off before going to work.

    Hi!! Came across your channel and your video and I'm about to make a decision, which is to stay in my home country (Portugal) or move to Canada (under a pre approved 2yr work permit).
    Both of us have NOC's in high demand there in Ontario, but, we have 2 kids...what makes me afraid of moving is the possibility of one of us have to be kept home taking care of our kids (4yr and 1yr) due to not having schools for them. Is it so that we could get free schools for both? I've read so many stuff on the internet...like it goes from 1K to 1.6K month for each kid...if we take the worst case scenario we'd have to pay around 3K just for school, which is totally insane in my perspective.
    Would be really greatful if you could share your thoughts on this!! :)

    • @TheMapleDiaries
      @TheMapleDiaries  2 роки тому

      Oh Portugal, such a beautiful country too! As mentioned, Canadian public schools are free. But if you opt for a private school then that’s where you need to pay a tuition fee.
      Daycare is a different story, if you have babies and toddlers and you wish to send them to a daycare then that’s not free. I sent my daughter when she was only 3 to a daycare and it costs me 1k bucks. But when she turned 4, she already went to JK in a french catholic school free of charge. I only paid the before or after care. Since we have work and I can only pick her up around 4pm (school is dismiss by 3pm). I have to pay the after care program. It’s a per hour fee, around $40.
      You might need a daycare for your 1yr old kid where you have to pay.

My wife is an international student, and as what ive known our kids are qualified to study here for free as a primary dependent. Thanks

    • @TheMapleDiaries

      Public schools are funded by the government which also comes from the taxpayer’s pockets. You may send your kids to before and after daycare services provided in schools, this comes with a minimal fee.
