    Our Coleman stove is about 35 years old and still works great 😊. We have a small Woods gas barbecue that we like to take camping and a two sided grilling platter that we use on top of the stove. One side is ribbed and the other side smooth, for bacon and eggs. We're adding those things to our new camper😊.

    Thanks for another great video. I appreciate that you thoroughly test and then review your products. I'm glad you covered all aspects of the product as well. And the the time you take for that video editing with the record scratching was funny, nice work. Thanks again.

      Thank you! I don't spend near the time editing that some channels do partly because I prefer a more "real life" view but that just seemed like the perfect crossover after the grill wouldn't light.

    Great share, now they are 109.99 on Amazon, here in Oct 2022.
    For more than 2 people, there is that larger Coleman Grill in the same style - I think the add-ons are compatible, as well. They just cover 1/2 the surface which would be good for doing your pancakes and sausage at the same time(!)...

    I've been using mine for 2 years and have no problems cooking for multiple people. I've cooked 4 rib eyes (2" thick) and 1 filet mignon all at once. 2 giant Costco Cut TBone steaks all at once. One and half rack of BBQ St Louis Pork Ribs all at once. 4 burgers and 2-4 hot dogs at once. I no longer bring my Weber Q100 with me. It's taken its place and I can cook for 4-6 people. Takes a little practice but it's possible!

    I am always thrilled with a company that cares about customer satisfaction. I think that is a great product for RVers and people who just like to be prepared for emergencies. Something like that has been on my mind for some time. Do they sell replaceable base plates? Real customers make the best advertisers!!!

    Hello Patrick. Thank you for the video review of the Fold n Go! I have a truck camper, so my storage is VERY minimal and I've had my eye on this grill for some time. However, I noticed on your Amazon site you have switched to another grill. How long did you have the Coleman for and what made you decide to go with another brand?

    I noticed you put paper towels between the grill and the plate.. is it because of the rattles when transporting? Does it make lots of shaky rattling noise on the go, especially if you put it in the trunk and the road is very bumpy?

    Ive been interested in Colemans combination grill and stove, but several reviews have said that the grill grate which is aluminum has melted,....So I went with this unit instead. The grill does indeed work well,...heats up in a minute or two and will give grill marks,....not really a true grill in the sense of grilling over an open flame,...more like a griddle,....

    Enjoying all your videos!
    Just ordered the grill and also the griddle. I can’t find the stove grate anywhere. Called Coleman and that part is actually called the Fold and Go Pot support # 2000001660, bad news is that they are currently out at the warehouse. (Wonderful customer service call btw) Not at Walmart, EBay, Amazon, Sierra Club, CW. My other idea, the Swaptop stove grate is not compatible with the Fold and Go Grill per CS at Coleman .
    My question is - will you either the grill or griddle support a pot of water for pasta? Thanks in advance

    Excellent video with lots of info. I did find the model without the ignition switch, which is what i wanted, but that does not come in red and the cost has gone up over the last year to almost the same price as your model with the ignition switch. For the same price I may as well buy the red with the ignition switch and hope it lasts. Is it possible the ignition switch didn't work because the line was clogged with dirt so the propane could not get through? And maybe the line just needed to be plunged with a thin wire? Just wondering in case it goes bad during camping where I would be too far from home to receive the replacement. Lastly, I wonder if the ignition switch can be removed and the unit fitted with the normal kind where you use a match or lighter. Thank you for sharing.

    At this time, it doesn't seem like the griddle is available. For the size of steaks that I'm willing to buy for my kids, this seems like it will work for the three of us. I can't see any reason that just the grill won't work for a 2nd stove top for boiling pasta. Let me know if my reasoning is flawed! Given the fire restrictions that happen for camping every summer now in Colorado, this should allow us to grill, even though we typically can't have camp fires. The size seems right to allow me to fit a cook stove and a grill in my DIY camper trailer galley. Wish me luck!

    I have a Coleman NXT 200 at home but it’s too big to take on camping trips with the RV. I ordered this one and have one question: have you had any problems with the latch? A lot of reviewer‘s on Amazon mention problems with the latch not holding up. Like the fact that you can put the grill plate in the dishwasher.

    • @TravelswithDelaney
      @TravelswithDelaney  5 років тому +1

      I woud say that the latch is definitely something they need to improve. It typically does not stay latched so when I am carrying it, I keep a finger on the latch in the locked position so that it wont come open.

    • @TravelswithDelaney

    Hey, so I’ve been using a cheap portable camping grill for the passed two years and I love it, but I have an issue with grease dripping out of the bottom where the legs are screwed in. The grease travels down the legs and gets all over the place. It can really be a hassle. I was just wondering if you have any similar problems with this Coleman fold n go?

  • @CampingTherapy

    I had one of these a couple years ago, and loved the size, but the finish burned off in the center, and everything started sticking, even when I sprayed with grill non-stick cooking spray. I should have replaced the grate, but I just gave the grill away. Now I'd like to have another one, but they're $99, and I just don't think they're worth it. I ended up buying a cheaper grill at Walmart, and it will work fine for me. The plus of the Coleman for me, was the size.

    I just bought this for the boat, perfect size to get some hot fresh hamburgers and hotdogs into the kids out on the water. Sure beats moms tuna fish sandwiches that we have been doing on the boat!

    What happened to cooking on the fire?

    • @TravelswithDelaney
      @TravelswithDelaney  4 роки тому +1

      We still do that some too if we have a fire. We don't have a fire every night when we are traveling.

      A lot of fire restrictions in summer and fall, too. Wash. State has already had a rash of brush fires West of the Cascades and it's not even fire season yet. 🔥🔥🔥🙏

    IMPORTANT UPDATE: THE STOVE GRATE HE SHOWS HERE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ANYWHERE. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING TO USE THIS AS A STOVE FOR POTS AND PANS AS HE DOES WITH THE OPTIONAL STOVE GRATE.

      You could just put your pot or pan on top of the grilling grate.

      Not recommended as it can melt the aluminum grill grate

    My grill has burned residue on it after cooking burgers on medium heat and wont come off after soaking. Its not really a stick free grill.And they recommend not using metal or abrasive items on it The coating on cooking grill looks like baked enamel.

      What I do: 1. Use cooking oil or spray before each use 2. Use a plastic knife to get the big pieces of crud off, 3. Use a non-metallis scrub sponge, water and Dawn or some other grease cutting detergent to get the rest off, then rinse. You may have to repeat one or more of the steps.

      I am glad you found a unit that works for you. We have been very happy with the Coleman as we used it all last summer including at high altitudes with no issues.

  • @absolu222

    It is so inexpense to make those units that they simply send a new one.
    I am appalled by all those cheaply made stuff that end up in the landfill because it's cheaper than making something durable, and I mean it is probably coming from China and crossed half of the planet to start with.

    its not a system its just a stove.........why do you need to make things sound way more important then they are?.......is it because you feel inadequate? case and point you cant even call a dog...... a dog.....you have to call it a name that makes it sound like its your child with extra hair.

    Do you find that the wind interferes with the flame at at?

    • @TravelswithDelaney
      @TravelswithDelaney  6 років тому

      I haven't had any issues with the wind although I am not sure that we have been in real windy conditions when we have used it.You might just have to position it so the back it to the wind and use the lid as a wind guard.
